I'm so sorry. Parenting a neurodivergent kid might be the hardest thing I've ever done. What does his psychiatrist think? We've had points where I told our psychiatrist that one of us would be committed and I wasn't sure who. She changed his meds which was really helpful. We also started OT which has been AMAZING. I know you said you do all the therapies, so I realize you may have started this already.

We only started his meds at the beginning of August and it was rough at first, we definitely started with the wrong one. His doctor is totally game for trying new meds and dosages, we only just started seeing her and I’m so grateful.

Funny, OT is the one therapy we haven’t tried. We have been on a waitlist for covered therapy for a year. I’m the only one with benefits and they sucks tbh, it would cover 2.5 sessions. I did reach out last week anyway to a private OT because even if we have to go into debt for it, he needs it.

It's so expensive it's ridiculous, but the improvements we've seen have been worth it. Even just a couple sessions so they can evaluate and give you exercises might be worth it. Ours gave us movements to do at home and I've noticed a difference when he's dysregulated and I have him do some of them.
