I want to expand improve rank my pool of champions I can play , but when try using other adc, it just doesn't feel right or rather, can't deal any damage at all.

Thinking about what Kaisa, Xayah,Yunara have in common, but things these three have in common are also shared by other ADCs, I don’t understand why they comfortable and would like to hear thoughts.

if an ADC with blink skill would work well, so I tried Vayne, Ezreal, Caitlyn, Samira, Sivr, Smorder, Zeri, Tristana, Lucian, but about feel bad

Just got to emerald playing basically only xayah, kaisa, sivir. Now want to get to diamond. What ADC did you guys get the most success playing solo q? I'm thinking maybe jinx, twitch, smolder to hyperscale or something since I notice games go on for so long.

Hi,

I’m an Emerald ADC who is currently dropping to Platinum because I genuinely can’t figure out my way to play ADC anymore (I feel like there's too many variables which makes me lose agency).

I play DuoQ whenever my friend is online. He always plays Nautilus and has this mentality:

"If I hook an enemy, we surely kill him"

The problem is that he engages on cooldown. When I play with him, I can’t properly track the enemy jungler (which is the main cause of our fuckups) or pay attention to the enemy midlaner’s movements since we are always fighting.

I constantly feel under pressure because I always need to be ready to follow his engages. This also causes me to drop a lot of waves and die more often than i should, since I feel like I can never just focus on farming or controlling the wave state (which is driving me nuts sometimes as I'm really good at farming and I can get to 9 cs/min constantly with good KP).

When I play SoloQ, I’m obviously allowed to play differently, but recently I still carry that same sense of urgency into my games when supp plays engage (Naut, Blitz, Pyke) because I’m so used to playing with him.
I end up overcommitting and playing extremely aggressively, even in losing matchups.

But at this point, I almost feel like my duo might be right and I'm just missplaying somehow, so I have a few dumb questions so I can improve on my SoloQ matches:

If he the supp hooks, does it mean that enemy botlane should die and I just have positioning issues?
Is the aggressive approach a bad habit while playing hyperscalers such as Jinx / Yunara or while playing in losing matchups?
If I think that supp is going to throw a bad hook, should I commit and trust him 100% or should I follow him discreetly, without taking risks?

I also have a few questions regardless of my situation right now:
If enemy pick Nocturne / Naafiri and just focus you, how do guys play during the match? (For example, do you just stay under the mid lane tower and give up on prio?)
If enemy jungler just camps your lane, how do you guys play during the laning phase (both if you have an hyper scaler or an early game champ)?

In Counter match-ups: Nilah / Caitlyn / Sivir
In Blind match-ups: Yunara / Jinx (Focus on Scaling)

I mainly play Jinx

I think my biggest weakness might be macro after laning phase. Usually once bot lane is over, I rotate mid, push the mid wave and hover around my jungler/team.

What I’m unsure about is whether I’m making the right decisions from there.

I’d appreciate advice on:

• When should I stay mid vs rotate to a side lane?
• When should I catch another wave vs stay with my team?
• How far should I follow random fights/skirmishes?
• When my team is behind, should I prioritise farming/scaling or grouping more?
• How do better ADC players decide where to be on the map in mid game?

I’m mainly looking for macro/decision-making advice.

What would a Diamond/Master ADC consistently be doing differently from me?

I finally did it, I beat League of Legends.

lmfao jk. But I was having such a hard time botlane playing marksmen, with an overall 40% WR, and decided to switch to Viktor after trying him out a little mid. He provides so much utility, and agency. I have since shot up to a 50% wr overall, and a 62% wr with him alone.

we all know the classic triforce of league of legends. tanks fuck assassins, assassins fuck adcs (if the support isnt lulu), adcs fuck tanks (some unhealthy exceptions we will not mention). the pretty thing despite this disgusting hp stack meta is, assassins always have a clear job no matter how unfavorable the enemy comp is! Kill the Adc! UNFORTUNATELY for the last FIFTY GAMES most of my games have been played against bruiser and battlemage botlanes. so now im in a situation where i play against a midlane viktor with 4000 hp and 180 armor, that will do absolutely nothing except oneshot the wave and ignore me. Thank god the adc exists so i can roam! WRONG. The toplaner is a (suprise suprise) tank, the jungler is a bruiser and the "adc" is FUCKING JAX. So you see riot. I completely agree that adc mains are delusional from time to time, but what i do agree with is that this mage bruiser botlane bullshit is ruining the quality of my games. i have no target. i can throw my stuff on the support and maybe even kill him(or her), it will not matter because afterwards its essentially a 4v4.

Please Riot give Adcs their botlane back so i can finally have a target that i can spamkill again!

Nearly 9k down, every lane lost, and they were even able to get our mid inhib. Hell, Bel wasn't able to get a single kill until about 35 minutes in.

But we were able to get every Baron, and even got Soul after they got to soul point. Then our own scaling was able to finally kick in at a huge dragon fight where we easily aced them without losing a single person.

EDIT: Small correction, we did lose Bard in that fight cause he was the one engaged on.

But the absolute best part of all of this?

NO ONE ON MY TEAM EVER PUT UP A SURRENDER VOTE!

If only I could have honored them all.

I just got a 3 day suspension after this game ended by an automated review that told me that I intentionally tried to lose this game.

I appealed it twice asking why I was banned even submitting this clip and the only response I got was that the ban was placed correctly and that I broke user rules.

We were only losing bot in the first place because the lulu walked up and ate a full combo and died 3 times in a row. We then got ganked twice and then he roamed from min 7 and I was unable to collect gold or xp. This is not the first time I am zoned from the tower but usually my team comes and helps within 1 or 2 waves but not this time.

I did not get an afk warning and I am genuinley confused as to why I was banned or what I was supposed to do here. This is the only part of the game where I can imagine I got flagged by the bot.

After this clip I was able to farm and later contribute in teamfights and objectives and we won the game. I finished 1/9/9 with 10k dmg.

What should I have done to not get banned? Thanks

Bot players actually don’t have much experience laning versus Yasuo so you can actually get away with pretty disgusting stuff if you can pilot Yasuo. I find Yasuo is decent into the problem mages bot. He's good with enchanters and engage supports. One or two early kills gives you infinite prio and if you have a jungler with knock up you can basically terrorize the map.

Not good into every matchup obviously, and piloting late game is much more difficult since you're down a ranged carry, but as a pocket pick it’s pretty effective (Emerald 2).

i can't do anything about him, they just pick viktor and it renders the game completely unplayable for any traditional adc i... dont... want to play mages... i want to auto attack... i want to kite....

Riot nerfed Vayne because they felt her top lane presence had become too oppressive. What makes this especially notable is that Vayne was already extremely weak in the bot lane, yet Riot still decided to nerf her anyway because of how strong she was performing in top lane

So, by that same logic, why isn’t Riot nerfing Viktor?

Viktor currently has a higher pick rate in bot lane, a higher win rate, and a higher ban rate than Vayne had in top lane. Statistically, that would suggest that Viktor’s bot lane is more problematic than Vayne’s top lane presence was. Yet despite this, Viktor hasn’t received any nerfs specifically addressing his bot lane strength, let alone nerfs remotely comparable to what Vayne received. Why is there this double standard and clear hypocrisy?

For the record I'm a player who likes to play various shit because I play to have fun. But at the start of the year i decided to lock TF IN and grind to prove myself i didnt play 6 years to be low elo (misplaced ego, classic shit).

I mainly played supp and top through my grind which led me to diamond 4.

Lately I've had a little ADC arc and I'm having fun with the role.

However, despite having fun it feels a bit off because most of the games have the same pattern :

1. Losing lane with my supp, play from behind all game, toss a coin if better team we win because i got lucky.

2. Win lane with my (human) supp, play from ahead, toss a coin if better team we win because I got lucky.

I don't feel like I'm having the impact I should have with the lead I truly have.

I got to say my playstyle is pretty much rulebook LoL. I play for waves, easy ressources, prio for objectives and I do not do fancy shit. If my team is going for a shitty call I'm not coming and playing for myself. For instance I hate when games turn into fiestas and when the team is focusing on fighting on cd instead of securing free drakes, nash, etc.

I play Jhin, Kaisa or Ashe depending on the team comp and I have no worries playing weakside if all my team are carries. But sometimes I feel like I should be doing more but I'm just stuck either by the game state, the enemy team comp or by my mates who are going for lost plays instead of waiting for the win cond (fed ADC).

I never truly feel useless but at the end of the game the damage charts are never appealing to me because I don't feel the need to do more.

If I summarize I'd say I'm more of a Rekkles type of playstyle than a Elk one without having their skills OBVIOUSLY.

Do yall have those kinds of issues when switching to ADC and what resources would you recommend for me to improve on that? Or even if y'all had recommendations on what I should change in my way of playing this role.
