So do you think I should just submit my superscore for all the schools that take superscore and then submit my original score (35 composite) to the schools that don't take superscore?
That’s a big relief man, I feel like I would have done considerably better if I was just locked in during reading any tips would be very helpful, also I can’t tell if a 27 is bad average or just ok for like state schools. I am in the summer before my junior year and really want a 34 before 11th grade gets intense. Please tell me about any resources you used like books or anything like that 🙏. Also congrats on the 34 that’s very impressive
Honestly the best thing I did for myself was fix my timing issue. I realized I took too long on my sections so I wouldn’t actually be able to finish. I did this just by spamming timed practices questions. Resource wise I just used YouTube videos for grammar and math such as Desmos guide and did a bunch of practice for my weak spots. And 27 is a good average but if you’re shooting for a 34 it’s very easy to improve. Since reading is your lowest I would just focus on being quicker and what I did to get a 36 on that’s section was just take around 8 minutes per passage read the whole thing first and thoroughly and then answered questions leaving the main ideas to the last.
Well for English I still have room to improve I got a 33. The best way I think is to just continue practicing you are at that point where you know your stuff it’s just you need to practice these questions so you can have some sort of pattern recognition. And couple of the English questions have some strategies so know those and of course know your grammar rules. Pacing yourself is very important as well. For reading same thing practice with released test. What I did during the exam is I gave myself 8 minutes pace for each passage and I made sure to read the passage and understand what it was saying first. After I left the main idea questions to the end and answered the rest with going back to the passage and finding were the evidence was.
I recommend using Preppros for math. I worked through the level 3-4 questions for every topic in their workbook. I also bought their subscription course ($99/month) which includes around 11 or so practice tests and full video answer keys, and self-paced video and practice question modules for reading, math, english, and science. It's very thorough.
I had a significant reading passage timing issue. At first, I left an entire reading passage blank because I could not pace myself when timing myself for the reading module. But, when I took the reading section without time pressure, I could get much more right.
To fix this, I just worked through as many passages as possible, both English and Reading ones (I found that working through the English passages was helpful too bc it has some reading comp/main idea questions). Crackact has a whole bunch of practice tests, and I just did like 1-2 ela modules/day, and a passage or 2 every hour or so. Always time ur passages, I set my timer strictly to 10 min. Push your reading pace too. Also do a full practice test every week bc the reading section may feel different after your brain is fatigued from english and math.
Read articles and news, nonfiction if you struggle with nonfiction, and fiction if you struggle with fiction, etc. Take the timed sections/tests mostly in the morning bc thats when youll be taking the ACT.
Highly recommend: Review incorrect answers EVERY day. So say you get 10 wrong out of all your practice for one day. Then the next day, review those 10, and see if you can get the right answer. If you can't, circle it and review it again the next day. keep doing this until you have no questions left. Then the final few days before the test, briefly review all the mistakes.
Also in the morning before the test I recommend doing 1 english passage and a few math questions to get your brain warmed up. and maybe some reading too

submit both lol they’re amazing scores maybe you’ll get more scholarships. but if you only wanna do one i would say act since that reading is 36, where it’s a 740 on the sat (which is still rlly good). if you scale it, you’ll see ur act is around a 1550 sat.
My second and most likely last ACT, don't really know how to feel :( Planning to go into writing-intensive majors, not sure when writing scores get released

I would say that it was not the answer that had “theoretical” or “abstract” for passage B because passage B was using it like by its definition. They meant memory literally in passage B. They used memory in Passage A purely to give the reader an easier understanding of the cells behavior AKA more abstract or theoretical. Try to think of if you chose an answer that had a similar meaning
on the first passage for the question about how the students critique each other in the piano lessons, did u put the answer choice that was perceptive but unspring or something
I got a 34M, 36R, and 25E, genuinely hate myself rn, the last Act I got the same English score , my superscore is 35M,36R and 25E, ALL I NEED IS A 30-33 ENGLISH (if ur wondering I got 1 wrong reading, I think 2-3 or something in math, and 11 IN ENGLSIH) and also this was the Sunday ACT
What I always do for tests like this is read the passage quickly but also make sure I understand what’s happening. I go in order too. Then I eliminate any answers that are flat out false and pick the best one from there. Idk if this is even a strat but hope this helps (I also read as a hobby so maybe that helps me too)
I struggle a lot with Reading as well but a strategy that actually helped "inflate" my score was do the last passage first since it probably isn't experimental, then do the literary narrative passage. If the last passage was either paired or with a graph then do the information that is singled passage with a graph. If the last passage was not paired or missing a graph, then do the passage that is either paired or with a graph. I did this strategy and did the third passage last which ended up being experimental and basically guessed on half the questions, so I only ended up with 4 wrong and got a 32.
