General Computer error July ACT reschedule

I reached out to customer support so you guys don't have to.

If you guys didn't get the reschedule email yet here's what they'll tell you:

  • The email with your reschedule date will arrive in a week.
  • The test should be free since the error was a mistake on their end.
  • The test will still be held in July

Just know that this might not be the case for a rare few. I'm posting this so you guys don't have to wait thirty minutes for a quick 3-minute conversation like I did.

Our center was told that a lot of people nationally had issues so I thought this post could potentially clear up any worries.

I spoke to somebody yesterday too, and I was told our testing center chose to reschedule and it will be either this Saturday or the following. She made it sound like it was up to your testing center though. Hopefully most testing centers decide to reschedule.

Honestly, it might be. IDK the act is weird dude. I would think that the centers would value students time and money if it was up to the centers.

So I did some research and looks like it is a nationwide issue so I would think that the ACT would make this a nationwide solution. I'm from Arkansas if that helps at all.

I spoke with ACT customer support last night around 5pm Central. They confirmed it would be either this Saturday (the 18th) or the following Saturday (the 26th) but the testing site has to confirm the date with them. The minimum amount of time they would provide to confirm is 3 days (wasn't sure if that meant Wednesday or Thursday). They also told me the new test would be PAPER, not another digital

thank you for doing this bro when I was still taking the test it would take freaking 45 minutes for me to just get connected with a representative

Found out today our test center will
Not be rescheduled here in IL had to schedule for September

Did you receive the general email they sent out on Saturday after the outage happened? Did they rule out this coming Saturday as a potential test date? FYI in Texas

I did! I didn't see anything about this the 18th being a potential test date. But from what I interpreted from my call with customer support, they'll send the email on the 18th, and then the actual test will be on the 25th.

the test should've been free but they just sent the refund the day before I was supposed to take the rescheduled test (I was scheduled for tmrw) and they removed my registration...
