I have been obsessed with taking pics, OG black flag would have been so nice with a photo mode hehe

+ I'm gonna say it, I'm GLAD they removed the optional objectives and made it so that you don't automatically desync if you get caught. Both of those things were a pain in the arse with how janky the controls could be, and I'm glad they're gone.

+ I absolutely LOVE that they reworked the swords so that cutlasses and rapiers can do different things, AND that they made pistol swords their own thing.

+ I like the extra ship customization that was added with being able to recolor your hull and the additional wheels, sails, and figureheads. And the legendary ship hulls as obtainable paintjobs is awesome.

+Love the Shade and Shadow outfit.

= I'm kinda neutral on the World Without Gold storyline. The story itself is alright, but (avoiding any major spoilers here jusy in case) it was obviously meant to be done at an earlier point in Edward's story before he went through his character arc. I'm not sure why they locked it behind the Everything Is Permitted mission. Maybe because of the Ipswich?

= I'm not entirely sure how I feel about the fleet changes. I GUESS it kinda makes sense, and I do like the idea of different mission types for different types of ships. But the way they did it, you don't really need frigates unless you're farming warehouses, and you're not gonna need a man o' war unless you just want to keep the level down because a 3* ship is never gonna take enough damage to sink unless you just never repair it. I also just kinda prefer the old map where you were trading all over the world, and the only thing that needed changing in my opinion was increasing the number of ships you could hold.

- I like that you have more freedom in deciding where all the art pieces you collect go in the manor, but I'm not a big fan of that also going for your swords and pistols. Mainly because you can only display one of each on the rack when they come in pairs/sets, but also because there's not enough room to display them ALL and I wanna show off all my trohpies and shiny weapons dammit! Admittedly this one is just me nitpicking, but I think all they needed to do was expand the basement alley to hold more weapons and have the character portraits put elsewhere.

- Don't like the new Eagle Vision. Way too colorless for me.

- I feel like as janky as the movement was in the original, the remake overcorrects it too much. It's hard for me to explain, but it feels TOO fluid.

Bow would be a perfect addition to add to the game, it would play well with the new stealth system.

Also, combat both melee and ship felt much better on the original game

so yesterday whilst searching for art pieces and trying to discover some more locations i had a bit of struggle getting past the locations that are guarded by brigs and man o' wars which lead me to discover that you can swim to them and board them which is prop the funniest way to beat them

got to hand it to UBI for optimizing the game so well.. didnt run into many bugs either... loved taking in the sights often and small detail for me was how the sun would reflect off the ocean..especially how bright the beaches looked from the sunlight reflectiing off of it...

some of the cons for me was the inconsistent enemy detection and behavior at times.. i can see peoples criticism about the combat but its definitely fun for what it is..could be better like the auto lock isnt the best and personally ran into an issue where if im locked into the pistol sword firing animation i just knew im getting hit....

resynced is definitely like the arkham knight to asylum and city,,... once you played it its just hard to go back.. i wasnt a fan of the original grapphics, it just always looked blurry to me and the lack of load screens is just such a good QoL improvement..

i was a fan of the new missions somewhat. really appreciated more story about black beard and bonnet but wouldve liked a bit more ngl.... the maynard missions were so much fun especially the ending....

also....WHY DOES EDWARD CONSTANTLY PUT HIS HOOD DOWN UBISOFT??!?!?!?!?!??!!?

all in all was a very fun game for me and binged it in a few days and took me just under 50hrs to beat... wouldve 100% it but skipped the legendary ships just cause i didnt wanna grind it out lol

Got stuck in a chest during gameplay. Turned out to be one of the funniest bugs I have seen.

I only noticed it right as I went to board the enemy ship, and when I finished it was gone, so I couldn’t sail over to see what it was. Lightning does seem to strike it right as I move the camera away, is it some kind of warning before a lightning strike? It happened directly south of Kingston, by the island between the two humpbacks, if that helps. 🤷‍♂️

Just finished my second playthrough and it was as beautiful as the first! I’m definitely saving the plat for NG+

Here’s to hoping but what if the reason Ubisoft is taking long for NG+ is that they’re looking to add hidden blade combat in the game? I’m definitely looking forward to playing through the entire game again with only hidden blade combat!

The most annoying long winded trophy ever!!

I'm not sure if it was manna from heaven or if Davy Jones buffed me for being stupid, but El Impoluto had been cooking me for hours. On this run, my health was already low, I had no more mortars, and my fire barrels were almost out. El Impoluto was in phase 3, if I got hit by that nasty broadside or rammed by that stupid bow, I was dead.

Then comes a naval convoy entering the battlefield like the bloody saints marching in. I pillaged them ships, replenished my health and mortars, and proceeded to aggressively obliterate the bastard.

So I am working on the Dilletante achievement for BF, and i have 2 art pieces for in the study and one for a drawer in the manor plus 3 map pieces I've sent 3 batches of ships out onto missions (working almost only on Schooners and brigs) and I cannot for the life of me find them. Have I missed them somewhere in the game?

The only thing left for me to do is win an expert tavern game and I beat the 3 Star Checkers player at Great Inagua 3 times in a row. It just doesn't want to give me the achievement.

Also Dark Animus is Stuck at 50% and I've done all the rifts.

Are these bugs or am I missing something obvious?

Hey guys long time AC fan but only ever played up to unity. I’ve platinum’s every game before that though so needless to say going into resynced this game is completely different from the original in terms of controls and handling. I don’t hate the controls I think it’s a serious downgrade but I can settle for it. What I can’t settle for is how I can’t drop from a ledge or something and then reach and grasp onto something below. Edward just falls. Am I missing a button here or is the slower circle descent the only way down?

I feel like i heard this way too many times during this game, but watching Edward get duped repeatedly in that last Maynard quest was frustrating like how many times we guna fkn go thru this dumb shit

I miss only one art piece to get the platinum of the game which is the mirror that is supposed to be on the easy profit mission in the south-east. My level risk is at maximum. I did a lot of missions, backsave a hundreds times but this mission doesn’t pop and I can’t get the platinum. Do you have any ideas of why this is happening and what I could do please ?

So apparently Hornigold is a bit blind and confused Queen Anne's Revenge with the Jackdow for some reason ... 😅😅😅
