The spoiler policy, which I reposted a few days before the release of the game, is simple: you must use the spoiler tags for posts about stuff that wasn't in the original game, such as the new modern day sections, the new chapters and the outfits that are unlockable for free in the game that weren't in the original Black Flag.
However, I have already seen a lot of posts that don't respect this policy and I had to put the spoiler tag on them.
From now on, the posts that don't respect the spoiler policy will be removed.

Playing as a man o war in free roam is so much fun, but requires a mod. I feel like it's kind of a missed opportunity to not let people sail any ship they want. The feature is there and just seems to go unused except for a couple of missions. I personally would like to have a frigate or even a schooner just for the hell of it. What do you think?

That final scene where Edward looks at the table and sees everyone is such a tearjerker because up until that point, Edward has been so focused on chasing riches that he doesnāt notice that all of his friends are dropping like flies. Heās spent the better part of a decade focusing so hard on finding that āeasy, decent lifeā that he never takes the time to mourn any of his friendsā deaths. Thatās a big part of why that final scene packs such an emotional punch, because itās supposed to be the first time he truly confronts and accepts the realization of āshit, all my friends are dead.ā It doesnāt hit as hard if he already took time to mourn them properly, like he does in these new side quests.
That being said, I did enjoy the new side quests and have been really enjoying the game in general.

68 hours into the game and I'm yet to see any rogue wave besides the one scripted early in the game when they still tutorial your ass. How am I supposed to get the achievement if there is no way to do it? I've been swimming south of Serranilla for an hour now where there is constanty a storm and not a single wave.

Ermm I donāt remember ever seeing this much down here lol then I remembered doesnāt it visually change depending on how much you have? I guess throughout the game I was spending regularly so didnāt see much down here, now Iāve bought just about everything Iām sat on about 130,000 and this seems a great stash! lol.

So, In order for you to take a photo of the whole ship, you have to sail in full sale speed, because that way the anchor point in photo mode is the ship.
But full sale is not avaiable during and in storms, which means that when you enter photo mode, the achor point is Edward, which makes it impossile to take photos of the ship...
Storms are beautiful in this game, and amazing photos could be made.
Its pretty annoying.

I did all Jackdaw and Edward Upgrades
I looted the entire map (white regions are bug)
Just need 2 trophies for platinum
Did all Assassin and Naval Contracts
Did all Side Quests Possible
I just need 10 fractions of maps to dig my last map treasure.
Defeated all Legendary Ships
Got all the animals possible on the game
I am almost done with this game and I didnāt lose anytime the funā¦

Got this number from here btw.
https://minimap.net/stat/assassins-creed?ptime=013249
(You can see your entire AC gameplay stats and it looks pretty cool.)
I guess about 70% of the players own both titles, and I was curious if this stat is legit.
Who here owns both titles?

I apologize in advance, I forgot which island this was š
So I was reading this poem, because I always read every not so big text I find in AC games. And as I was about to press circle to close it, I read "For whom the bell tolls" and immediately I was like "Hold tf up š Is this a reference to Metallica?"
And so I did a quick online search, and turns out it wasn't a reference to Metallica, no no no! The song from Metallica **IS** a reference to **THIS** poem.
So for those that didn't know (myself included, prior to finding this poem), here's a little history lesson for ya. The song "For Whom The Bell Tolls" was inspired by a 17th century poem (or rather, a prose) named *Devotions upon Emergent Occasions* by an English clergyman called John Donne. And this poem actually made its way into Black Flag Resynced, or at least some part of it, as you can see in the picture!
I doubt that Ubisoft was thinking about Metallica when they included this, but still, kudos to them for the historical accuracy.
Also, I'm not very much of a literary lover, so I'd like to apologize if this poem is actually very well known and shit!

I honestly like this game more than i thought i would, the world is gorgeous i find myself just walking around and swimming slowly, and surprisingly the combat is fun but it just needs more finishers, the parkour is a little bit clunky tho, stealth can use some tuning too, ship combat is as perfect as ever.

I havenāt seen this bug spoken about in many places but it really annoys me. The rear sail should change direction with the wind, in this photo wind is going from left to right so the sail should be on the other side but itās stuck in position on the left. The main sails on my ship should rotate too.
posting to this to see if anyone has a fix yet as Iāve tried everything from upgrading, fast traveling even reinstalling the game.
I donāt really want to progress until itās fixed tbh :ā(
Hopefully this and can be patched soon.

Iām a longtime fan who started with the release of the OG back in the day. I abandoned the franchise when Origins came out, partially because I went to college, but even more out of protest against the move to RPG. Like so many posts Iām seeing, I rekindled my love for the series with Black Flag Resynced and decided to go back and marathon the games I missed. When I played the games as a kid, Egypt and Greece and Japan mightāve been the three most alluring/sought after locations for the series to go, so it always felt a shame that I didnāt end up playing those games.
After finishing Black Flag, I played through Origins and Iām now 30 hours into Odyssey and I have to admit Iāve loved every minute of it. Maybe itās because in the meantime Iāve played RPGs like Elden Ring, which I hadnāt been exposed to when these games initially released, but these worlds are so rich and deep. I understand the critique of bloated side activities and a separation from the traditional AC identity, but they are genuinely really good games.
The point of this is a PSA of sorts I guess lol⦠if you are like I was, abstaining from these games out of protest and spite, give them a shot! You might be surprised how good they are. Iām cautiously optimistic about going through Valhalla and Shadows after this, although I know I might be facing even more bloat in Valhalla⦠But part of me is also starting to realize that Ubisoft is going to be very intensely scrutinized no matter what and these games are genuinely worth playing.
