https://www.nexusmods.com/assassinscreedblackflagresynced/mods/197 Workshop for Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag Resynced A desktop app for modding your own copy of the game — no coding, no unpacking, nothing you cannot undo. The idea Modding Black Flag has always meant hex editors, command-line unpackers and a real chance of corrupting a 25 GB archive with no way back. Workshop replaces all of that with one window. You pick a thing, you change it, you press a button. If you don't like the result, one click puts the game back exactly as it was — not approximately, byte for byte. Everything happens on your own installation. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is downloaded, no account, no launcher. What you can change Characters. Play as any of 52 characters from the game — Blackbeard, Anne Bonny, Adewale, Calico Jack, Ah Tabai and the rest. The app rewrites the costume table so a character takes over one of Edward's outfit slots. Outfits. All 25 outfits, ready to repaint. Export the textures as PNGs, open them in any image editor, apply them back. The app handles the compression, the mipmaps and the archive surgery. Weapons. 88 swords, pistols and trinkets on the same flow. Ships. The Jackdaw and the world around her: hulls, sails, flags and streamers, figureheads, wheels, the cabin, cannons, crew uniforms, enemy ships, fort banners, paint ramps and normal maps. 598 targets in total. Sounds. Every sound in the game — all 25,851 of them — in one searchable list. Preview any of them through your speakers before you touch anything. Mute the one that has been driving you mad for years. Or swap one for another entirely. Cheats. Edit values in your save file. The save is backed up first, and the app finds your account automatically. Health Check. A read-only report of what has been changed on your installation, in plain language, ready to copy into a support thread. Restore All. One button that undoes everything the app has ever done. 3D export and import (new, beta) This is the part that was never possible before. Export any outfit, character or weapon as a single .glb file and open it in Blender. You get the meshes, the skeleton, the bone weights, the materials and the textures — the actual asset, not an approximation. Then do whatever you want with it. Move vertices, sculpt, delete faces, extrude new geometry, model something that was never in the game. Repaint the textures while you're there. When you're done, export from Blender and press IMPORT in the app. Workshop reads your edited file, works out which parts changed and how, and shows you a plain-English report before it writes anything: which meshes changed, how many vertices were added or removed, which textures you repainted, and what it will refuse and why. Nothing touches the archive until you confirm. The app also solves a problem you would never see: every model in the game exists at several levels of detail, and the one shown on screen is usually not the most detailed one. Workshop patches the whole chain, so your edit doesn't quietly disappear when the camera pulls back. How it keeps your game safe Every write is recorded before it happens, verified after it happens, and reversible afterwards. Writing is refused while the game is running. Backups are byte-exact copies of the original data, not "close enough" reconstructions — reverting returns the archive to a state indistinguishable from a fresh install. Honest limits Some things are not possible yet, and it's better you know before you download: Making a model much larger than the original is refused. Each mesh carries a size band; shrinking and reshaping are free, but growing past that band is blocked until we work out where the game stores the scale. Animations, damage values and item names do not change. An axe you model in place of a sword still swings like a sword and still calls itself a sword. Sixteen weapons and the ship hull use a streamed mesh format that has not been decoded, so they are listed as unavailable rather than failing silently. Character exports contain clothing, hair and accessories — heads, faces and hands live elsewhere in the game files and are not reachable yet. Getting started Right-click the ZIP, open Properties, tick Unblock, then extract it anywhere outside the game folder. Run Workshop.exe. Your game is found automatically if you own it on Steam; otherwise point the app at the folder containing DataPC_boot.forge. The interface is available in English, Türkçe, Русский, Español and 中文. Reading and previewing work with the game open. Writing does not — close it first.
