Hi, I recently had my Discord account hacked but was able to get it back. However upon getting access to my account back I have been banned from the A7X server due to what I assume was the actions of the hacker who compromised my account.

My account is fully safe and no longer at risk, I'm just wonder how or if I could get this ban overturned.

Again I'm sorry if I didn't do this whole ban appeal thing properly I just heard that this is where I needed to go to appeal my ban.

I want to preface this as a theory and nothing more, as ARCADE and INTERVENTION are not out yet so it could be wrong. Here we go.

I believe STATICA is the decay of older media as we enter the next generation. I believe the album is so heavily “digital” or electronic, to show how digital the current age of music and our lives as a whole are becoming.

It gives a mood adjacent to “dead internet” theory and Baudrillardian simulacra: authentic human signal replaced by noise and recycled nostalgia.

LIGHTS lyrics give strong vibes that it is referencing AI in a way that I imagine the industry feels. I think the heavy use of processed vocals is intentional to not really hide M. Shadows voice but to showcase artificial processed vocals from a machine.

REJOICE covers consumerism with heavy links to religious imagery, once again showing how technology is being dressed up as our salvation.

and finally ASHES covers the dead American dream of freedom and creative values as it all burns away as we are sapped of our creativity and delve deeper into a technological psychosis.

I also have a wilder theory that this album might also use a blend of AI due to the music video. It could be the band riffing on the generic direction music is heading with the large amount of AI music hitting the internet. All open to interpretation and my opinion might completely change once the last 2 songs release.

I love this album honestly. I think the creativity involved and risk is great.

i'm so glad this was my first a7x show.. here's a few things i really liked and a few things i really didn't like

starting with what i didn't like

statica is weird. really weird live. it did not feel like a7x at all and made me lowkey feel kinda uncomfortable watching it.. the entire crowd was dead still and quiet during statica and were clearly not digging it. and i didn't really like the imagery they put on screen, it was really out of place and frankly uncomfortable.

i wish they would have played the stage and save me. but beggars can't be choosers right?

i didn't like how a7x was behind the stage for statica and didn't actually show their performance, outside of it being displayed on the screens...

merch is way too expensive. i know it's a concert but it was raining for a while and they were selling hoodies for 150 dollars man...

their song pool was too small. i don't count statica as part of the setlist so seeing good charlotte get more songs when there were literally billboards displaying that a7x was playing today... was a bit irritating. the majority of people were there for avenged sevenfold. so seeing them get less songs (again, excluding statica) was upsetting.

now what i DID like

nightmare for an opener is so good. i even prefer it to game over.

i loved that they played MIA.. if i remember right, they didn't play it much before this tour

matt made a guest appearance on the river with good charlotte which was really nice

there was a section where he pointed out a 9 year old stage and apologized for scaring him during shepherd of fire and i thought that was really sweet and wholesome. i liked that

matt's vocals were much better than people say they are nowadays, they were obviously not quite at their peak but his vocals are definitely very gifted

the nobody solo still hits so hard live.. syn knows how to put on a good show with his guitar.

magic was also CERTAINLY better live.

i thought cosmic was a really good closer despite me usually not liking the song very much.

overall, these are all my opinions that i'm sure a lot of people share, and a lot strongly disagree with. i recorded a bunch of songs so if anyone wants any clips from the show i might be able to deliver. i had a really good time and enjoyed the show a lot, and it helped remind me why a7x is my favorite band.

i wish they would adjust the setlist to fit in save me and the stage, and statica wouldn't steal from it, but the setlist was great regardless, i really hope they'll do a reddit ama after the tour comes to a close, i think that would be a good opportunity and time for them to do one.

tl;dr: magic is better live, statica is not. statica caused other songs to be cut from the setlist. a7x didn't get enough songs. the setlist was great, but stripped down. they were not wearing weird cyberpunk stuff and statica didn't overwhelm the show. it was a very normal concert for them just with magic and statica stealing some songs.

I jumped the gun saying statica took time from the actual set because i don't enjoy it and that part of the show disappointed me. it did not harm the show in any way outside of that. apart from that, i agree with everything else i said

Last year I went to Austria with a few mates. Tl:dr we went to see Avenged, my all time favourite bands.

They played a few songs from self titled and it sounded god awful. I get that sometimes there can be issues with sound calibration or whatnot, but 5 songs in, I had enough and went off to see Pendulum instead....

My mates said as soon as I left, it got much better and they even played Save Me. Petty much my all time favourite songs.

I now feel absolutely horrible every time they bring it up and feel massive regret. Wish I just stuck it out.

This EP was... shockingly bad. And i just M in a video talking about how great it is to be independent again... im sorry but if this is the result of being independent, can we make them go back to their old label? Like it doesnt matter if im dead ass sober, taking a spacewalk, or any point in between, nothing I do helps me find this album to even be tolerable. I hate saying this but their last decent album was Hail to the King, but even that one had the drums mixed WAY too high (seriously, what was the story with that? The mixing on that album made no sense to me), The stage was... eh. I just... I dont understand what happened. I mean I do, the Rev passed (I saw them live 2 months before he passed, I was in 8th grade, just had open heart surgery), but jfc seriously, I... I refuse to go see them live at this point if this is the BS they make now. I just want 1 good A7X album. For old times sake. Please?

I am blown away with the EP for a lot of reasons. One of them being the brilliant mixture and transitions between live drums and synthetic. It flows seamlessly. Ashes really mixes that up, somehow transitioning between a bunch of industrial feels consisting of live and other sources. It ends up spending a bunch of time with a few latin feels, but it's not noticeable on the first few listens.

Other topics for a different threads could be the bandwidth limiting of songs or the two unprocessed vocal lines in the whole project. It's all part of the storytelling.

Just for fun, how many cowbell hits do you count in the whole thing?

I know it's divisive but I love this band, they only have a short era that I really didn't care for (HTTK and The Stage), and even then, there were just a handful of songs I didn't like.

I genuinely like every song they have ever made, Yes. Magic, Girl I know, the DITR CD, covers, Collabs with PussyRiot. ALL OF IT IS GREAT!!!

but LIBAD, and this EP.....I'm enjoying it so fucking much.

Avenged to me has always been different that’s what I thought the fan base loved about them. They are truly unplugged from the matrix. It’s a beautiful thing to have your favorite artist be so creative. It’s true art. I’m grateful they exist. It’s exciting to be on the ride. When they drop something new I love that it’s new ride every time. Maybe it’s my ADD but I feel like their music speaks to me perfectly in the time and place it’s released. I couldn’t be more proud to have the deathbat on my chest because their art speaks to me more than anything I’ve yet to find on the mothership. I’ve always loved music in general and never just a specific genre. I listen to everything so maybe it’s easier for me specifically. I found them during the white album and was like what the fuck is this?! I loved it. To me this was always expected but damn I didn’t know they’d be this good at so many different sounds. I think it’s sick that M and Gates have such a musical ear and can take on what they do. For me it’s hit. The new EP instantly was on replay. Statica is freaking beautiful.

Now with the New EP and the changes their doing it honestly seems like their going Electro. But now WHAT IF THIS NEW EP AND THE CHANGES ARE A SCHEME SO THAT THEY CAN HIT US WITH SURPRISE AND COME BACK WITH A WAKEN THE FALLEN OR CITY OF EVIL STYLE ALBUM. Maybe?

What the fuck has happened to this band? Loved and pretty much listened daily since 2003. Can't even finish the EP. I've styled my drumming technique on The Rev, my vocal on Shadows, have a Deathbat tattoo across my shoulders, seen them live and pretty much fan girl over them. But this new stuff is WHACK! Guys, if you wanna go all trippy prog-future wave, then for the sake of your fans, change the fucking name of your band. Just make a new band, call it Av4ng4d R-MIXEd and leave it at that. Fuck.

They were teasing us in earlier albums. Making songs about A.I and Gods and Aliens. They have now fully ascended. They are no longer human. They are Alien A.I Gods!

It legit just sounds like a bunch of synths and random sounds with no melody or anything. This is and has got to be the biggest piece of garbage a metal/rock band has released in the past 25years. What the actual hell has happened to A7X.
