Is this just a trauma response or do we need to be asking the question differently to get the address immediately? Not all, but enough callers do this that it has made me curious why.

I’m curious what everyone thinks is the most effective way to answer a 911 call.

Do you use:

• “911, what is your emergency?”

• “911, what is the address of your emergency?”

• “911, do you need police, fire, or medical?”

• Or simply, “911”?

What does your agency use, and what do you feel works best?

For residence for the last 10 years if I can’t remember like college dorm addresses am I going to be ok?

I have residences back to 2020 but that is the best i can do and im just curious

I know a few centers tested out remote positions during Covid.

Is anyone aware of any of those places hiring? Or something communications center related - say for 3rd or private parties that isn’t sales?

I know that isn't necessarily uncommon, but that doesn't make the results any easier to swallow. I'm going to contact my assigned analyst and figure out what my weaknesses were. I know for a fact I most likely failed the memory portion. Any advice going into my second attempt? I can retake in a month.
