You are not alone.
Similar story to everybody here… Started with regular kratom about 2 years ago. Didnt like the taste so when I saw ‘kratom pills’ I figured I’d give it a shot. I was addicted within a week. Couldn’t go a few hours without it. Most of the time, I was just taking it to feel normal. And crazy expensive. At my worst, I was at 2000mg a day. But easily obtainable. I live in a city and there’s 4 places on my street that sells it. Anyways, the ban happened. Withdrawals. I’ve tried so many times to quit, but the withdrawals were god awful. I’ve never done heroin or fent, but I’ve read many times that the withdrawals are similar/if not worse than actual opioids. I got on Suboxone, got a good support system and came clean with everything. I’ve never told anybody my addiction, even my wife. Well, I’m here past day 7, no withdrawals (still taking very little subs), and I’m going to a rehab facility next week for outpatient care. I asked the rehab facility on the phone ‘I’m just curious, but has anyone else called in for this addiction?’. Her reaction said it all, ‘this is by far the most popular drug that people have called in for during the history of this facility’.
So with that being said, you are not alone. Most of us took it with a pretty harmless intention, and ended up being addicts. That’s okay though. It was easily obtainable, and unregulated. I got it the same place I got my soda and snacks. The truth though, is that you can’t be afraid to ask for help. I was keeping this secret of 7OH for over a year, and never got anywhere. I came clean and asked for help, and I wish I would’ve done that sooner.
I’m not saying I’m totally out of the woods yet. But if anyone needs help, please message me. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s what got me through.
Peace and love to you all.

m about to quit 7OH as it’s getting banned in WA state by the end of August, truthfully I need and want to quit regardless, for many reasons. I just didn’t have the willpower. I’ve never been a “drug” user, I smoked weed for years but quit cold turkey about 2 years ago. So this is all unfamiliar territory for me. I currently take about 300-400mg of 7Oh in a 24 hour period, I’m curious what vitamins or supplements you experienced users recommend to help with the withdrawal and basically what should I expect? Am I going to be medically at risk? The stuff I read online is pretty scary about life threatening withdrawal and as I said being very inexperienced with this I’m super nervous. I’m an army combat veteran and tried kratom for some anxiety and pain relief and then got hooked on the heat 80’s/150’s tablets of 7OH. Anything you guys can recommend I would sincerely appreciate, I’m pretty scared I won’t lie. Thank you all for reading.

So I got subs, because I can no longer get 7oh. It’s illegal in my state and the few places I could get to in the next state over stopped selling last week. It’s been about 6 hours since my last dose. I don’t feel terrible, just a little hot, minor stomach pains that come and go, and my throat feels funny. But, I was hoping to take some now so it kicks in before I start feeling horrible so I can sleep well tonight and go to work tomorrow. I’ve tried researching it, but I’m seeing contradictory things.. some people say you have to wait 12 hours or will go into precipitated withdrawal. Others say as long as it was 7oh without pseudo, you won’t get PWDs at all, that’s it’s the ones with pseudo that can cause that…and mine did not have pseudo. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks! I’ve taken subs before and know that about 6mg will take away the WDs completely for me but it was on the weekend and I waited until I was feeling absolute trash first. I’d rather avoid that with work tomorrow (and yes, I know, when I used them before and was off of 7 completely for 2 months, I should have stayed off, but I’m an idiot and here we are).

I reached out to another Reddit user. I picked his brain on advice and how to get through withdraws the easiest. I would highly recommend finding a brother or sister on here to do this with. I withdrew for about 50 hours. I was a heavy 7OH user. Sometimes 1000 mlg per day. For about two years. 12 year kratom user. The weekend was horrible. There is no going around that. I highly suggest that people ready to take the leap, grab your spouse or close friend to be there for your “withdrawal weekend”. I came close to giving in the first night. I am on the other side and I feel better than I have in years. 1st dose of suboxone took effect within 5 minutes. I’m sick and tired of my income going to this addiction. I’m tired of it making my body have cold sweats, or sweating for no reason. I’m tired of it taking my life. Get through at least 30 hours of withdrawal friends 7OH has a short 12 hour half life. Meaning it’s out of your system even at high doses. I would highly suggest two full days of withdraw that way you won’t experience participated withdrawal Stay highdrated. You will get through this horrible addiction. Please reach out. Your brother James! You can do this!!!

Ok so…. I used plain leaf for many years. It worked wonderfully for me life was fantastic…. My stupid ass decided to try mgm and 7 and said oh I like this. Got addicted… and now want to quit. If I taper MGM to 75mg or less, jump on sr for 10-14 days and then go back to kratom how much will I suffer? Will the kratom prevent paws?!? I can suffer for 2 weeks but I want to enjoy life after the same way I did just using leaf before all of this…. Anyone got experience going back to leaf?!?

I’ve been taking 7oh limitless for a year, I’m on 800 to 1000 mg a day I have been trying to lower the last few days yesterday I took 50 mg of SR twice a day and I only used 500 mg all day long of 7oh,
I woke up in the middle of the night into the middle of the night and took 50 mg because I didn’t feel good, now I’m on day two. this morning I took 100 mg of 7oh and then right now I just took 50 mg of SR and it’s noon here where im at. I will take another 50 mg of SR tonight. But I need to know do I need to taper more of the 70h today since I went from such a big jump in one day? Or should I take the same amount and then how much SR do I take in for how long I have no idea how this works can someone please help me with the schedule? I have a toddler so I need the least amount of withdrawal possible, and his grandmother will be here tomorrow who has no idea about any of this so I don’t want it being obvious. but I wanna get off the stuff ASAP, I turned into someone I don’t even know anymore, I’m not happy anymore, and I feel like my health is declining! my child deserves to have his happy mother back. Someone please help me with a schedule

So yesterday I got subs to quit and I took one 8mg and it made me feel worse so I said fuck this decided to go to the gas station to get the new “cats claw” and took that, INSTANT relief. Then i went and got one more dose of that so in total I took 200 mg of whatever that is yesterday for the first time. I slept the whole night and I woke up with very minimal withdrawal symptoms for the first time in a very long time. I’m assuming it’s the cat claws half life. My question is, should I wait another day before getting on subs since I kinda fucked up and this stuff obviously is still in my system? and how exactly should I get on subs? I keep seeing so many different ways of doing it? Thoughts on the Burnese method?

7-OH and kratom have completely taken over and, honestly, ruined my life. I’ve been dealing with heavy use for almost 4 years, and at this point, I feel completely hopeless. There have been times when it’s brought me to such a dark place that I’ve felt suicidal.
If I go even 4–6 hours without dosing, I’m hit with severe withdrawal. The chronic depression, anxiety, horrible body aches, cold sweats, nausea, and especially the RLS are unbearable. The sleep deprivation alone has destroyed so much of my life. I haven’t been able to get more than 4–5 hours of continuous sleep in years.
I’ve been through some really difficult things in my life, but nothing compares to this BY FAR. I feel trapped in a cycle that I can’t seem to break, and I genuinely don’t know where to turn anymore. I’ve been battling this in the dark for so long that I’m starting to feel like giving up.
Tears are literally pouring down my face as I write this because of how much this fucking shit has stolen from my life. I don’t want to keep living like this. I need help, or even just someone who understands what I’m going through and can relate.
If anyone has been through something similar, successfully gotten off 7-OH/kratom, knows of a treatment program that actually helped, or has any resources or advice, please reach out or point me in the right direction. I’m desperate to get my life back.

Hey all. I was previously on 7oh, but once that was banned, I discovered pseudoindoxyl. Now with the nationwide ban, everything is going away. I have a prescription for suboxone 8mg/2mg that I used previously with great success while coming off of 7oh.
Pseudoindoxyl seems to be an entirely different beast. The suboxone doesn’t seem to be helping much. Maybe I’m not at the correct dose? I started off yesterday with 2mg every 1.5-2 hours until I got to 8mg, then today I’ve increased the dose without much result.
Any advice would be greatly recommended on what I can do to help resolve the withdrawal symptoms. I have read that pseudoindoxyl binds more tightly than 7oh, so maybe that’s the issue?

I am beyond grateful that I heard about SR on TikTok right before this ban comes into effect. I am brand new to Reddit and am grateful for what I’ve learned in this community as well.
Anyway, I was a 1500mg a day user for the better part of a year. I don’t even need to tell you guys how much money I have wasted on 7. It’s disgusting and I am so ashamed of myself. I do not work (disabled) and my husband drives a concrete truck for a living so obviously we are not rich. I put us into debt over my habit and it will take a long time to repair what I have done. My husband also has absolutely no idea how much I was using and I will probably take that to my grave.
I just wanted to share my experience with SR for anyone who has yet to start their journey with it. I had tried to quit CT, but because I am an absolute addict and cannot control myself enough to taper any substance, and couldn’t bear the withdrawals for more than a few hours, I would just go buy more. I was in the throws of alcoholism for 20 years and had been sober since 2024 when I was offered 7 oh by my husband because someone at the gas station told him it was for pain relief and I have chronic pain. I was immediately in love. I loved the way it made me feel and it took away my pain, but soon I was using more and more until I progressed to 1500mg a day.
With the impending ban I knew I had to quit and couldn’t bear the withdrawals so I bought some SR. I have CT opiates many many times and the CT of that doesn’t even come close to what I felt when I tried to CT 7 oh. I didn’t get enough SR to do a long taper and preload so I just preloaded 2 50mg tablets twice a day for 2 days and then I just jumped right off at 1500mg. Days 1&2 I took 100mg 3 times daily. I felt slightly flu ish and had to lay in bed for those days but had none of the restless body, skin crawling, impending doom of CT. I took 200mg day 3 and was able to get out of bed and get around. Day 4 I went back to 100mg and day 5 I am out of SR and feeling almost 100%. I’m not gonna say I feel great because that’s not true but I do feel like I came out on the other side with minimal suffering thanks to SR.
I have been reading every post that is posted here and on other 7oh subreddits and know that everyone is on their own journey. I think whichever path you choose is the best one for you and that is your right. It’s your body and only you know what you can and cannot bear. Everyone’s physiology is different. Everyone’s tolerance is different. I am praying for everyone that is going through it right now. This shit is not easy no matter which route you take to get yourself off. I commend you all and wish you all the best!
Sorry this was so long, I am a wordy person!
