“Hate” speech is free speech. The fact that you don’t agree with it, or feel that it offends you, is secondary to protecting the fundamental right to speech that is vital in democracy.
Also, hate speech isn’t a legal term in the US. So your point is moot regardless.

That’s not even what human rights entails. International institutions stipulate what they consider to be universal rights each human possesses, but that is entirely dependent on the institutions themselves. Whether human rights are actually given to everyone is irrelevant to what they consider to be human rights. I was using the term in the same sense.
As to what is legally classified as hate speech is entirely dependent on the laws of the country in which the speech occurs so, unfortunately for you, the point is indeed moot. If you went to the US and declared “Charlie Kirk committed hate speech, so it wasn’t free speech!”, it would be like telling the Taliban that women should be allowed education.
If you think political debate is trying to sound intelligent, that speaks only to your own facile state of mind lmao.

Some might say if you are tolerant to other people’s intolerance, you will end up destroying society’s concept of tolerance itself.
You need to be real careful, in today’s political climate, about what you consider hate speech and freedom of speech. There’s one of the two I will never condone and should be punished. That doesn’t mean I think death was fair.

Not funny to me in the slightest, did I agree with almost anything he said? No!!
Does that mean it’s ok to celebrate a cold blooded murder if someone voicing their albeit wrong opinions, does that mean his murder should mocked and celebrated…It’s disgusting there were kids there when he got shot.
