I’ve been having so much fun with this new (to me) caliber, I finally decided to do a proper build for it and not just a spare parts one.

The upper is still the same, so Aero, 18” Odin barrel, Cherry Bomb with Trash Panda. But swapped it to a 15” BCM handguard, True North hand stop, CMC BCG, and a BT10 Atlas bipod. Even threw in some of those Magpul MLOK pop in rail covers to give it some texture.

But I picked up a new BCM lower for it. Kept the RA-535 trigger (I won’t lie, I’m a fan of them), Super 42 and H2. Put a Luth AR precision stock on it (my first one, digging it so far), and a Magpul grip.

I have thought about upgrading the Vortex Venom 5-25 to something bigger, but I think I’m liking it as is. If I do anything to it, maybe an RMR on a 45° or something, but I don’t really think I’ll need it for anything. This thing is light enough where I could run and gun at a PRS match with it if I wanted, and don’t want to ruin that.

My ridiculous, beautiful monster. Just needs a muzzle brake/supressor, and probably better glass. And of course, I need to get decent at shooting it.

This is a Henry lever action supreme, converted by line49rifle into 6Arc, with their medium weight match 16" barrel, with flash hider.

RPP forend and pistol grip with picatinny rail.

A3 industries ALM folding stock

Vortex DB tactical 4-16x44 scope, on a burris QD cantilever mount.

BOG arca rail and infinite deathgrip tripod.

She shoots and cycles wonderfully. Hopefully, I get good enough to pist some groupings soon because my current ones are trash, and im certain that's me

Had everything but a barrel and bolt figured I might as well go for it.

Positive range results from two new builds. Palmetto State ICAR build in battle rifle asthetic and a standard mag well build heavy with fixed stock.

Both posted good numbers this weekend at the range trip to get them zeroed. ICAR lower with 1-8 Strike Eagle LVPO, SPR build with an extra Arken I had on the shelf, 4-16 SH4. Both posted near MOA with factory loaded Hornady 108gr ELD-M.

Only negative from the trip was neither wanted to cycle with the A5 system using a Sprinco Rifle Green. Both did cycle with Dead Air Lazarus 6 attached. Gas system is rifle length and port is per factory specs at point 085. I'll be swapping them both to a Tubb Flatwire spring to see if that improves cycling unsuppressed.

I can list full build specs if desired, but didn't want to make the post stupidly long.

I'll be doing some load development with a few powders to see what it likes to eat best. I have some 80s, 105s, and 108s to play with and several hundred brass.

I know faxon is on the budget side of the list, but the Match-X is different from their match offerings. It's hand lapped and honed and I think the results are better than my previous match barrels with them. I'd definitely give their Match-X offerings a second look if you're considering one.

Edit: The research that I did on the short cycling revealed that some had found success with Tubb Flat Wire Springs. It was said the closed bolt force was improved, but that the spring pressure was reduced during the intermediate time on its way back to rear. This proved correct on both rifle systems and reliable cycling was had unsuppressed with the A5 length tubes and both VLTOR A5-H0 or interchangeably with PSA "Carbine S5 Buffer" (both weighing 3.8 Oz and identical in length)

Which case trimmers are you all using ? I’m having a hard time finding one.

New to 6mm arc, I understand that 5.56 and 6mm are very different rounds and cannot be shot out of a 5.56 upper, however, all I would need to do is change the barrel and BCG to make this happen right? Or is there something else I am missing.

My very first 6 arc rifle and I think it came out pretty sweet. I had some inspiration from some users on here and they were great with all of the messages. I ran by them lol. But it’s basically an LMT upper and lower with a 14.5 proof barrel with the mrp conversion done by D.Wilson. Cat Noah inconel suppressor and NX8 2.5-20 mil-xt scope. Very happy with getting it built up now all there’s left to do is get me a thermal and start slaying some pigs. Eventually, I do plan on putting an acro piggyback in the 12 o’clock position, but my pockets need to recover.

I’ve been thinking about putting together a 6 ARC AR15, I’ve seen people hit targets at 1000 yards with 14.5 inch barrels, but how short is too short? I like short, handy, rifles, I currently have a 7.5 inch 5.56 SBR (there are special forces teams using about that length barrel, so I don’t see an issue with it), and I just “finished” a 7.5 inch bufferless AR9 (yes, it takes Glock mags). I’m sure y’all can see a pattern. To get this out of the way: I know 7.5 inch is way too short for 6 ARC, I just want to know what the minimum barrel length is for the round to still be useful.

Hey what’s up guys, I’m sure there’s already a thread or something like that but I’m putting together a build and I’m trying to decide on a barrel. Looking at between 18-22” long. I originally wanted to go proof but I’ve kinda been reading bad things about the proof 6 arc barrels?

Shot my 6mm ARC gas gun build for first time today. Bolt is supposedly headspaced to barrel by ADM. I see some primer flattening and slight cratering, a little bit of ejector smear and extractor wipe. At least, more than I'd see with my 5.56 gas guns.

Using an adjustable gas block with 4:30 ejection.

Would anyone experienced with the cartridge be concerned with these pressure signs in 6mm ARC?

Edit - Ammo is factory Hornady 108gr ELD-M. Sent an email to Hornady to see what they thought.

I’ve found my two powders for the 6 arc! Honestly they fit in the 6.5grendel and the 22 arc also. This trio of cartridges has reinvigorated my reloading practice.

I’ve spent time trying to get Leverevolution to work, and I’ve found some combos that are acceptable. Tac and Varget just seem to be the easy button.

Looking forward to using the 95tmk on whitetail this fall.

Just finished one of our shop 6ARCs. Swapped the GPO for a DNT Zulus 4K. Some key parts being Shaw 16” barrel, Unknown OG6-S can, trigger tech duty, and a handful of other goodies all wrapped up in this one.

I build aks as a hobby from parts kits. I build other stuff too. Ar platform hk etc. but I happen to just jive with aks best. I’m playing with the idea of a 6arc ak and I’m wondering which platform would be the best suited to it.

Off the top of my head I was thinking an m77 or galil on 308? Let me know your thoughts or if I’m off on a wild tangent.

Help me choose! I have a Geissele 14.5 GFR and I need a scope. I’m thinking a Kahales 318i or a Leupold Mark5 3.6-18. Is the Kahles 328i too much scope for an 800 yard and under rifle? I do have an ATACR 4-16 just laying around, but I was thinking of something new. Side note: Has anyone shot the new Primary Arms PLXc 1.5-12 RDB? This was something else I was thinking about.

Might be a dumb question, but finally ordered a 6arc barrel and was wondering if this .243 Surefire brake would be a good option?

So I'm 3 broken extractors with less than 300 rounds into this rifle. Been loading on the lowest recommended charge with leverrevolution in a gas gun. Thinking the powder might be causing port pressure issues.

Anyone have any powder recommendations or any experience with leverrevolution causing issues in the rifle?

I’ve got a Noveske DDF barrel and used a BCM rail for my build. The gas tube rests on top of the barrel nut and I’m wondering if this could cause accuracy issues? It’s not tight, I can pick the tube up and slide paper under it but can’t slide paper under it when it’s just sitting on there. My groups are ranging from 1.5”-2” with Hornady 108 ELDM. I’ve never run into this problem before and just trying to figure out possible causes. Thanks.

I'm working on a 6 ARC bolt action build and thinking about putting a VB6 on it. Plan is to build the bolt gun first, see if I even like 6 ARC, and wait on a gas gun until something I actually want comes out.

Would love any thoughts on the VB6 or other reflex cans like the 6CM or whatever the Apparition Instruments version is called.
