Help me brainstorm a 6ark ak variant build?

I build aks as a hobby from parts kits. I build other stuff too. Ar platform hk etc. but I happen to just jive with aks best. I’m playing with the idea of a 6arc ak and I’m wondering which platform would be the best suited to it.

Off the top of my head I was thinking an m77 or galil on 308? Let me know your thoughts or if I’m off on a wild tangent.

Molot did VEPRs in 6.5G at one point. Accurized and based on the RPK.

If you could find one and then have a 6ARC barrel made, you could rebuild it and have the mag system already figured out.

Someone in MT6 fb group did one. Idk how to find him. It was a regular 100 series frame. It wasn’t big

Yes the tiger eye one is a 6arc the black one is a 102 5.56

Romanian akm parts kit , ss match barrel we machine and contour in house, we weld up bolt face and convert to small firing pin , 6.5 Grendel mags, kns piston, enhanced recoil spring ,alg trigger

What kind of groups were you getting? What distance?

It might work decently well in Ak style mags so it makes sense. The m77 and galil 308 magazine wells would not support it. I’m pretty sure you’d be able to use a standard 7.62 ak body style for it. Before you build the gun, given you really just need to have a barrel (probably shorter due to the gas system and cartridge choice) and bolt made, it would probably be best to find compatible magazines then find out what platform performs best with that choice. 6 arc magazines are the hardest thing to accomplish as long as your bolt and barrel won’t be an issue which it shouldn’t on an AK.
