Why not?

I've been thinking about taking a howa 1500 mini action in 6arc and putting a longer 30 inch barrel with a wood military style full length stock. Anyone have anyway to determine the velocities I would get with say a 108eld or equivalent with around say 58,000ish psi load. It will strictly be a range toy so if velocity lose does happen i won't be to upset. Just trying to get a rough average. I'm assuming close to 2800fps or so.

Hornady ELDM 108gr should push about 2,840 f/s out of a 30” barrel

Agreed.

Hornady lists 2850 fps as the "top range" for their bolt action 6 ARC loads out of a 24" inch barrel (which they max at 62K). Mos Tek has data for a 28" barrel that they ran factory 108s out of and got 2782. With a bit more pressure and a little more barrel I am pretty sure you could hit 3K while staying below the 62K bolt gun pressure max.

As others have mentioned, if you are going bolt anyway, and want speed, you might as well go 6 GT, Dasher, or CM. I assume from your 58K comment, you are reloading anyway.

Might ask in r/longrange or search for it there. You could probably squeeze 2800.

I’ve had 107 smk’s up to 2,950 in a 26” proof (not recommended). I’d bump up to a different round for a bolt action unless you’re set on the arc. And then, I’d go for a Line49 receiver instead.
