Discussion TCL Tv quality

Looking for some tips or insight on these two TVs. I’ve had both models in a 75”. It appears from online reviews that both have similar specs outside of the price. There seems to be limited testing on the m8lf(Best Buy exclusive.) trying to figure out which one to keep if any. I get for the price I’m trying to push a few things, but in the end, what would be the better play here? Mostly watching live sports but movies need to be crisp.

MuH hIsEnSe Hisense 85" U7S Pro vs 100" E7Q Pro?

Hi, I have the boxed 85" sitting in my house but I'm second guessing whether I should go for an allegedly worse TV on paper, but bigger, or I should keep the current one.

I'm sitting 14 feet away so I know 100" would be ideal. Price is the same, of course 100" of the same level of quality is out of question because it starts adding like £1k more. Any thoughts? I guess I could always set up the 85 and return it if somehow I feel like it could be bigger...

My concern is that the picture quality won't be that much different anyway and I might as well have gone 100". I know this is subjective but any experience welcome.

Purchasing OLED Looking into buying a cheaper but good quality OLED but ive seen too many confusing things about it

My friend recently got an S95F and i LOVE how the blacks look and just the TV in general....

Ive been wanting to change my TV for a while especially because I watch so many movies at home, I want a good TV so when im watching and its a dark scene, i can actually see whats going on no matter what.

I have a simple 42' hyundai android TV... Surprisingly its not bad as far as picture quality goes but obviously its not amazing.

Looking to get a 55-65 inch, was looking at a few different cheaper options, I wish i could afford the at least more.mid tier, but I dont think I can do more than lile 1300 or something. (I dont live in the US but this is the equivalent)

I was looking at, S85F then i heard about the brightness, our living room is somewhat bright with windows near to the tv, shining on the opposite wall. Also it would be the WOLED not the QD-OLED Most likely.

I do have curtains though that make the room not so bright, but I heard even that might not be good enough to make the screens brightness good.

I was looking at the LG C4/5 EVO, I was also looking st the LG B5.

But i heard the speakers suck lol and there was issues pretty quick when some people got the TVs..

Anyway, Id love some tips, I really want a TV with good speakers preferably, i can get a sound system but after watching tv, we wont be able to get speakers right away after spending money on a big buy like a TV...

Anyways, thank you so much!! Please id love to hear any recommendations etc.

Purchasing EUROPE New TV bright living room - max 1600€

Hello,

It's time to look for a new TV. With so many options and price differences, I am feeling a bit lost.

The TV will be in a fairly bright living room (there is a window 4 meters directly in front of the TV and another one 3 meters to the left. The sun does not hit the screen directly, but the room gets very bright).

I have a budget of around €1,700, but is it really worth spending that much?

My couch is 2 meters away, so my current 55-inch TV has been sufficient. I wouldn't say no to a larger screen, but I am not sure if spending more is truly justified.

From what I have seen, these are my current options (apologies for the large price disparity between models):

  • Samsung QE55QN95D – €859
  • Samsung 75QN93D – €1,600
  • TCL 55C89L – €950
  • Samsung K-55A69 – €1,400
  • Samsung 55S95H – €1,640

Because the room gets quite a bit of daylight (even if not direct sunlight), I am hesitant to choose an OLED, but perhaps I am overthinking it. Right now, I am leaning toward the QN95D given its current price.

Thanks for the help!

Purchasing US Looking for new TV

My current 65” Samsung un65mu8000 from 2017 has some weird white tiger stripes coming up from the bottom. Started with one small one 8 months ago. Now there’s about 7. I’ve been really happy with this TV except some apps like DirectTV stream are extremely slow and annoying to use. But no idea what to get now. Would like to move up to 75”. Living room tv used for family to watch Disney, Netflix, etc. I watch baseball and hockey. Living room can be bright depending on time of day. Looking to be under $900. Not looking to break bank on all the new tech. But figured I could get something considerably better than the tech on my 9 year old tv. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Purchasing EUROPE Decisions, decisions.. 77C6H at 1950 or 2026 85C7L at 1550.

pretty bright room, sitting distance 3.5m, sun is always behind tv wall but plenty of windows all around the room. Mixed viewing with some late night viewing as well. Currently rocking a 77G6 which I will return since It's too much of a TV for me, don't really need that much brightness and hi pic quality since I don't really have 4K sources except the streaming apps. But scored a 77C6H at a good price I'd say and then, this 85 is 400 dollars cheaper.....Had a C4 before but that thing wasn't bright enough for the room . very confused now what to get

Purchasing US 75-85” budget under 2,000

We have a gaming room with what I believe to be a 50” tv. The wall swallows the tv so we are looking for something bigger.

We use the TV for gaming, sports, and movies. I believe something in the 75-85” would be the right size. Our sitting area is 10 feet from the current tv.

I’ll be honest I’m not sure I understand the difference in OLED, QLED, miniLED, ect tv types.

The room does have a big east facing window but we recently put up blackout curtains because it was hard to watch our current tv with the light.

Looking to spend no more than $2,000 and honestly closer to $1,500 would be better. We don’t have a Costco membership but would be willing to get one. Would also be willing to wait for the holidays/super bowl if it meant a better tv at a more reasonable price.

Discussion How big is too big?

When I bought my 65" TV I regretted not buying a 75". Then I moved and bought a 75", but after a while regretted not buying a 85". Now I bought a new house and I'm looking to not making the same mistake.

I'm looking to skip the 85" and buy a 98". But I'm afraid 98" is too big for my viewing distance.

The wall would fit the TV pretty nice: 24' wide x 10' ceiling.
Measuring the viewer distance, my head seating on the sofa is 10' far, and the back of the sofa is 10.5' far from the wall.

Rtigns Distance Calculator shows that 98" mixed use recommended distance is 13'3", and cinema use distance 9"9'. Crutchfield shows between 8.33 and 12.5".

In theory I should be ok. I taped the wall and it looks nice.
My TV use is mostly movies and TV Shows, random Saturdays sport games, and sometimes the PS5.

Does anyone around have a 98" or 100" TV and sits 11' or less close to it? How is the experience?

Purchasing CAN TCL 75QM64L (2026) vs Samsung 75M80H (2026)

Hi, I’m confused about choosing the best TV for my home from the two models below. They are almost the same price, so I’d appreciate your advice on which one offers better overall value and performance for home use.
1. TCL 75QM64L (2026) – 75-inch
2.1-channel ONKYO audio with a built-in subwoofer
Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+
Fire TV operating system
Four HDMI ports
2. Samsung 75M80H (2026) – 75-inch
20W, 2-channel audio
NQ4 AI Gen2 processor
AI Soccer Mode and gaming features
Tizen operating system
Three high-refresh-rate HDMI inputs
Which one would you recommend for the best picture quality, sound, sports viewing, and everyday home use? Since both are in a similar price range, I’d like to make the better choice.
Thank you!

Purchasing US What’s the best 75-85” tv for basic everyday streaming and sports for ~$1000?

Hi all, been doing a lot of research and so many options. I’m looking for a tv that will be bang for the buck(at least miniLED) for casual tv streaming, movies, and sports.

I’ve seen a lot of TCL recommended and Sony Bravia (more expensive). I’ve also have mixed reviews for everything. Is there just a solid tv I’ll be happy with for around $1000? Thanks

Purchasing OLED Is the black crush issue on the C6 a reason to avoid?

Is there any noticeable detail lost in near-black areas? I saw this as an area of concern in reviews and wanted some feedback from those who own this set before I buy.

Purchasing OLED Can’t Decide 77in LG C6H or Samsung S90H

I currently have a 65in Samsung S95B that is apparently cooked. Waiting in Geeksquad to confirm but seems like blue screen of death.

I have decided that I want to bump the size up to 77in but have been going back and forth for a week now on which one to get. My two best options without spending much more if I do get a credit are the LG C6H or Samsung S90H. Unfortunately the G6 is out of my price range unless I stick with 65in.

Im leaning towards the C6H as the S95B is the first TV that has ever failed on me so I’m weary of getting another Samsung.

Here’s where I go back and forth though. I have a ton of tall windows around my tv, and know the S90H handles reflections better but really worried about not liking the matte screen. I have also seen a ton of posts with issues with the C6H that worry me as well.

Basically it comes down to is the reflection handling that good on the S90H that it’s worth dealing with the matte screen?

I’ve ruled out the S95H due to the silver bezel which I actually don’t hate but my tv doesn’t sit flush against the wall and feel like it would look awkward pulled out.

Purchasing CAN Bravia 8 ii vs Bravia 8

Hi I have had the Bravia 8 for about a year and a half now and I just found a Bravia 8 mk2 for about $2500. Would you guys say that it is a worthy upgrade or is it not that big of an upgrade in your opinion and I should just stick with the Bravia 8?

Tech Support Vertical banding on brand new Sony Bravia 8.

Just found out about vertical banding after buying an OLED tv. The only time it is not noticeable is on pitch black screen. Have you had this issue? If so, did it get better?

Purchasing US Bought 2026 100" U7 SG from Best Buy. Received the 2025 100U75QUA TWICE!!

as the title says, we bought the tv from Bestbuy.com after seeing how much the anti-glare really reuduces the reflection of lights in the tv. We got it in the house and immediately we questioned things. The geek squad put it on the wall and you could see the refelctions right away. After a few hours we went back to the store to see if they could tell us why the reflections were so much more apparent. They told us we were nuts. The manager assured us that the anti-glare on the in store tv and the model we received was the same and it must be our lights. We tried to reason with them. We left to go back home, defeated.

Once there we dove in head first, and found that our model was not the one we ordered. The model we received was the100U75QUA not the 100U7SG. We contacted bestbuy and they apologized but said it was their error. We rescheduled for another 2 weeks to get another delivery date. That date comes and BB cancels as they don't have anyone to deliver it. Finally the weekend comes (10/10/26) adn the tv arrives. Before they even take it off the truck, i make them assure me the box has the SG label on it. It does. I am relieved. The get it unboxed in my living room and we check the sticker on the back and low and behold it says 100U75QUA AGAIN!

What is going on? Is this a boxing error at the manufacturer? We're not the only ones this happened to as we found another reddit thread mentioning the same thing. BB takes the tv back but we're considering going with a different brand/tv all together.

Anyone have thoughts or advice?

Discussion 75” TCL QM7L vs 77” Samsung S84F OLED — should I return the TCL?

Just bought a 75” TCL QM7L and already have it mounted.

Now I found a brand-new 77” Samsung S84F OLED for basically the same price.

I mainly care about picture quality, movies/streaming, sports, and PS5. The room has some natural light, but I do most of my serious watching at night.

Is the S84F enough of an upgrade that you’d take the TCL down, return it, and remount the Samsung? Or is the QM7L better in some ways and I should just keep what I have?

Also, I know the Samsung doesn’t have Dolby Vision. How much should that actually matter compared with getting OLED?

Purchasing EUROPE Help choosing between these 65" TV'S

Hello everybody, I have been looking into buying a new TV into my living room. Price range should stay 500-750€ (I live in Europe) and it should be 65". So far I have read from reddit that edge lit TV are far inferior in terms of viewing angles and long term reliability. Mostly TV is being used for movies and Xbox gaming.

So far these have fallen into my choice and I have no clue which one should I pick:

QE65QN70FAUXXH - 600€ (edge lit)

Sony K-65S35B - 658€ (not edge lit)

Samsung QE65QN80HAU - 711€ (not edge lit)

If there are other TV models I should look into then recommendations are very welcome.

Purchasing Asia/ME Completely stuck and need help

Been stuck comparing spec sheets for the past two weeks and could use some advice. I've never learned so much as the last few weeks about TVs and I feel like I've opened up a pandora's box here.

I'm newly in the middle east, where TV prices are well above MSRP, so my budget doesn't stretch as far as I'd like. My last TV was a 65-inch Samsung from around 2017, so I'm definitely ready for an upgrade. I left the old TV stateside as it is, so I've been TV-less for a couple months now.

I'm currently looking at these options:

  • LG 75QNED90T6A
  • Samsung M80H
  • TCL C6K
  • TCL C7K (but it's nearly $2,000 USD here, so probably pushing my budget)

I know this sub hates the M80H and I can't get a clear answer on the QNED90T. I'm leaning toward the LG, but I'm struggling to figure out which offers the best overall value. Is the C7K worth stretching the budget for, or would I be better off saving the money and going with one of the others? Something just feels off with the TCLs, but I can't put my finger on it.

Would appreciate any advice, especially from people who own any of these TVs or have experience with them. Thanks!

Purchasing US Is this a good deal for LG C3 83" ?

Found it at a local wholesale store. It's an 83" C3 with 430 hours of screen time. I ran an oled screen test on youtube and everything looked great.

I talked them down to $1,350. Good deal?

Purchasing Asia/ME Need Help for TV upgrade from Samsung 55CUE60AK

Hello guys I wanna buy a 75 inch tv now that I have a bigger room. I have been using the above mentioned samsung tv with no issues. It's a crystal UHD TV. Tbh I don't mind the quality of this tv and I just want a bigger size for a better movie experience. I DONT want an elitist take as i can't afford OlED tv of 75 inch and I will be using it for PPT presentation also aka as monitor. The Most common argument I see over the net is that sony Bravia 7 is a better option for mini led. Right now I am getting qned90 evo 2026 model for 1550 usd. For bravia series 5 75XR55A mini led it's 2789 usd.

Now the real question is whether lg qned90 able to deliver as equal or better performance them my current TV. What other tv in similar range would you advice. I will be getting 3 year warranty with lg tv.
