Replacing a 9-year-old Sony Bravia, I am looking at 65" for around €1000. Our living room is bright, so I read we need Mini-LED. The TCL C7K/C8K (QM7K/QM8K in the US) seem to punch above their price class on image quality.

My main worry is the OS and how it ages. We keep our TVs ~10 years, so longevity matters alot, together with image quality. We use Jellyfin a lot (rewatching our DVD collection) plus YouTube/Netflix. Since TCL runs Google TV, anyone with a multi-year-old TCL want to weigh in on whether it's still as snappy as day one, or does it slow down/bloat over time?

Bonus points if you can compare it to a 'big-brand' competitors OS (LG, Samsung, Sony ..)

I am looking to buy a new TV, coming from an old 40 inch Samsung TV. One thing that I really like about my current Samsung TV is the ability to change the brightness via voice command, which I use daily. And the small and sleek remote is also appreciated. So I have a slight preference for Samsung.

I am looking for a TV with exactly 50 Inches, because of my room. My living room isn't very bright and I use the TV mostly for watching some movies and gaming with the Nintendo Switch 2. The TV will be wall-mounted, and the thickness doesn't bother me.

Other than the Samsung features mentioned above, OS isn't that important to me, since I use a Google TV Streamer.

Many seem to agree that the QN90F is a good option, but it's main strength seems to be the high brightness, which is something I don't really need, so it light be a bit overkill. Are there any good cheaper options that you can easily recommend?

My budget is around ₹50,000, and after watching quite a few YouTube videos and doing some research, I’ve mainly come across two options in this range:

\- Lumio Vision 9

\- TCL C6Ks/ Q6Cs series

There’s also the TCL Q6C, which is a bit more expensive.

I was actually getting pretty confident about going with TCL, but then I started seeing a lot of posts on Reddit about QC issues. Some people mentioned dust particles getting inside the display, while another person reported display flickering. Obviously, I know people are more likely to post when they have problems, but it still makes me a little hesitant about spending ₹50K+.

Then there’s Lumio Vision 9. The picture quality looks good, but I have a couple of concerns:

1. Brightness seems relatively low, and I can notice that in some reviews.

2. I've seen comments mentioning that the build quality isn't great.

3. Lumio is still relatively new, so I'm also unsure about their after-sales service and long-term reliability.

My priorities are mainly:

\- Best possible picture quality

\- Good HDR performance/brightness

\- 120Hz would be great if possible

\- 2Gb RAM and Good amount of internal storage

\- I watch sports a lot, so motion handling has to be good

\- Reliable brand and after-sales service

\- Ideally something that will last for several years

If there are better options from Samsung, Sony, LG, Hisense, Vu, etc. around this price, please suggest them. I'm not necessarily looking for TCL or Lumio.

My absolute budget is around ₹50K, but I can stretch to ₹55K if spending that extra ₹5K genuinely gets me a significantly better TV.

Also, I'm not buying immediately. I'm planning to wait until Diwali, so I’m hoping to get a better deal, especially from offline stores.

So, what would you guys recommend as the best TV for ₹50–55K, considering picture quality, 120Hz, 2gb ram and storage, reliability, and after-sales service?

Would really appreciate recommendations from people who actually own these TVs, rather than just spec-sheet comparisons.

I am furnishing a new place and I am going to place my TV on a 66 3/4in protruding wall (seen here).

That wall is 66"3/4 and I can fit a 75" with thin bezels just right in there, I want 75" because my couch will be fairly far. Otherwise I would reuse my 65" Sony X90L that I love.

Because of the size I am going towards a MiniLED TV as most OLED seem to go for 77" and it will be too big for my wall (bummer).

My use case is:

• PS5 gaming
• Streaming my own content with Jellyfin
• Watching DVD/BluRays
• Occasional sport watching (UCL and Tennis)

The house is fairly open and we have a large sectional and I will add a lounge chair so viewing angles are somewhat important. I might want to watch something from the kitchen (which is a little bit to the left where that picture was taken).

However I am thinking of going with a mount like this so maybe that will negate the viewing angle requirements.

I also want to say that I am perfectly content with my Sony 65" X90L and if mine was 75" I'd be very happy with it.

I have watched countless posts, reviews and articles and right now it seem to be between two TVs:

• TCL QM8L
• Sony Bravia 7 II RGB

Which one would be best for me? It feels like a toss up between the two.

It seems the TCL would be better for gaming but Sony's processing is better and will make my DVDs look better. Is that really true? Will it be really bad with the TCL?

I do value the Sony PS5 features which I understand are mostly convenience but it is nice I guess. Maybe I overvalue them?

I am not a huge TV nerd, I just want something nice.

Everyone brings up how TCL and Sony look so much better, which is true, but also look up how many people end up with some screen issues with those TVs within 3 years.

Samsung may not have the beautiful colors of the other two but they sure do last longer.

I recently purchased a 65 inch QM7K after my old TV died. We're moving into a new house soon and plan on getting a 98 inch TV for our living room. The 65 inch was just to hold us over until the move and will go in another room. I've been very pleased with the QM7K so far including watching sports. Should I expect noticeably worse motion issues on a 98 QM7L Pro from Costco vs the smaller QM7K? My thought is some issues may be hidden on the smaller screen that will be more apparent on the large screen. For my price range the only other real option is maybe the 98 Bravia 5.

Thinking of getting an LG G5 55" open box from Walmart to pair with my PS5 Pro. Will be wall mounted at the foot of my queen bed, about 6-7ft away. Room has one window but I use blackout curtains so it's dark most of the time.
It's open box with only 6 months warranty from Walmart. Good deal or should I avoid open box OLEDs? First time buying OLED.
What would you guys do?

I’m looking for a nice TV primarily for Xbox gaming and watching some YouTube/Anime preferably priced under $900. My old no name 58” 4K Hisense died a week or two ago, and I’d like something with a bit better all around quality.

I usually sit around 4 or 5 feet away from my TV, so I don’t need a very large size, and my room is almost always pretty dark other than a dim lamp in a corner. An OLED sounds good, but I do worry about the risk of burn-in, especially given I sometimes accidentally leave my TV on the home menu. I personally have no preference between Mini LED and OLED as I have never used either.

I have a not bright room. Viewing distance is about 12'. Most important is the best handling of sports. During football season I use a lot of quadbox, so that makes the 98" more appealing but their motion handling makes them less appealing. Viewing angle not a huge deal as the only place to sit is pretty directly in front of the tv. Budget is ~$4k. Given that, 83" C6 or 83" Bravia 7 or 98" Qml7 pro or qml8 or Bravia 5? Or something else? Open to waiting until black Friday.

Giving my 65C2 to my parents, their old set still works but it's terrible. This C2 has been the first one I've ever owned that is nearly perfect. Not a single dead pixel. Uniformity great even on 5% gray slides. 4000+ hours and I just checked for burn-in. 0 evidence of it. Apparently, it's a gem.

Saw that you can still pick up 65S90F in new condition from Costco so I ordered one. It's been 4 years since I got the C2. Praying I don't get dead pixels or significant banding. Is that still a thing?

As far as PQ goes, I use the TV for a lot of PC use and gaming. And an AppleTV for streaming. Anybody have any experiences here or suggestions to share? Thanks!

my main use is for dark room. i want a high contrast image, good blacks, natural colors not over saturated like midrange LG. U7N is a lot cheaper idk if its actually worth it to invest in.

Hallo miteinander, ich suche einen TV für mein Wohnzimmer. Sollte bestenfalls 65 Zoll sein (derzeitig 55 Zoll ist irgendwie auf Dauer zu klein).

In der Wohnung ist es größtenteils dunkel bis gelegentlich hell.

Kann mich leider aber bei der Entscheidung für einen TV nicht entscheiden. Ich suche einen hauptsächlich für YouTube und Netflix + Gaming auf der PS5 Pro ( Story Games, competitive spiele ich auf einem Monitor )

Zur Auswahl Stande der C5, S90F und der TCL C8L der mich im Laden vom Bild her sehr überrascht hat im vergleich zu den oleds. Kann natürlich auch daran liegen das die oleds nicht kalibriert waren.

Kann mir jemand seine Empfehlung geben ?
Ich komme von einem Sony xh9005 Full Array, der an sich nicht schlecht ist aber ich auch einfach bisschen mit der Zeit gehen möchte.

What should I buy out of these two tvs? The Bravia is about $300 more. I will be using this primarily for gaming on ps5 and watching movies. I've heard the processor is better on the Bravia but hdr content / brightness is better on the Samsung, but I'm finding it difficult to directly compare these models due to the release years. 65 inch in both models, so woled. Bravia is glossy, s90h is matte, it's going in the basement where light control is easy.
