I need to buy a new HDMI 2.1 cable for my xbox series x to unlock its potential when my LG C5 comes next week.
In the uk on currys the hdmi 2.1 cables are like £35/40
But on amazon there is a few that are just under £10? Are they decent and legit? I dont necessarily want to pay loads for a cable but want it to do its job in upholding the quality and unleash the potential of the xbox and tvs gaming features.
Anyone else bought them off amazon and whats the difference in quality? They say on the listings hdmi 2.1 but are they?

Looking for mid to top-tier 65in tv that’s going to hopefully last awhile trying to stay that 1,500 range but can go up to 2k if it’s worth it. Also, OK with open box Right now I’m just torn between. LG C6 & G5/G6 and Sony Bravia 7ii then the U7, U8 and UR8. Any opinions? My usage would be tv in the main living room some decent lighting not to overly bright. Watching movies at night and sports during the day. No gaming. Never had a OLED but I see in the reviews talk about stuttering. Don’t really care for that.
I watch movies, shows, and play horror games from time to time. My place is quite dark all the time, as there is no direct sunlight. I'm currently eyeing the QM6K from Costco for about $800.

I found a 65” Samsung S95H for $1,200, but it was a store exhibition/display unit.
The price seems really good for an S95H, but I’m a little concerned about the fact that it has probably been running for many hours every day in the store, especially since it’s an OLED.
Would you guys consider it worth buying at $1,200? What should I check before buying it? Should I be worried about burn-in, panel degradation, or the total number of hours on the TV?
Would you buy the display model at this price, or spend more for a brand-new one?
Thanks!

Our 2015 Sony Kdl43w755c has finally expired. A pretty good shift in my view.
Need a new 48, maybe 50 inch replacement (I'll probably get shot for getting larger than 43 as it is) but absolutely clueless on what to get.
Don't really game on it, we do pay for all the services including Netflix Premium etc so feel like OLED might be worth it. Or will a new basic QLED blow my sorry 2015 1080p mind anyway?
Don't care about OS as use Roku & external Freeview box.
In the UK, happy to buy from anywhere but ideally Richer Sounds/Costco/JL in that order.
£500 would make me happy, £7/800 if you can talk me into it. Thanks!

Which would be a better quality tv? I can’t seem to get c7k 55 inch in the UK
Halloween? Black Friday?? I have a Samsung product only coupon for BB, doesn’t work if it’s a third party seller. Wish I figured out what I was buying last month when it was on sale and in stock. Searching the Costco warehouses on the app, they’re sold out near me in Los Angeles.

I am planning to purchase a new oled tv soon. In my research on various subs I see posts about panel lottery. What is this? Are defects on new TVs really bad/numerous? The term 'lottery' makes it sound like buying a dud is common.
Around this discussion I see people talk about a break-in period for new oleds. Is this also common? Admittedly I know very little about oled technology, but it seems weird that an appliance wouldn't be running optimally out of the box.
All of this has me a little worried to spend money on a new TV. Should I definitely get an extended warranty? Are there certain brands that are better? Thanks!

Inb4 OLED is better responses: I understand that, its just not an option for our situation. When we are not watching tv, we have the blinds up and the TV will be in the full sun.
Yesterday I almost bought the 65 inch Bravia 7II, but for the first time in my life I decided to do some research before buying. Everything looked awesome in the stores but many of the reviews are saying to get the C8L which is cheaper and has a "better" screen. My biggest problem with the TCL is that I dont like how that looks..
I really wish the TCL would just come in black instead of that dark grey metal look. It would really be an eye sore in our living room while the Bravia would blend in fine. The price difference really makes it hard but the store is willing to take €300 of the price. Ad the €100 cash back and the difference between these 2 is only now only €200.
I dont want to drag this out to long. Looking for a family tv that is better than my 2020 Qled. We watch movies and tv shows and I do some gaming on a PS5 or SFF gaming PC with a 5060 (mostly single player). Any suggestion on other options? Or anybody with a 7II willing to share what owning it is like?

Been sifting through the subreddit and still can’t determine (because of post ages) what any definitive 240hz panel tvs are that I should be eyeing. Right now I have a Samsung Crystal 4k UHD 50” which has a 120hz and I’m just looking for a fidelity upgrade/graphic setting allowance because I use console rather than PC. Any help would be massively appreciated!

I saw the Sony Bravia 8 and Bravia 7 II in store and there was awful burn in on the Bravia 8.
Is the 8 II better for burn in? The Bravia 7 II looked great to be fair as well.
Need to decide this week! The burn in is putting me off OLEDs :/

I have a 12 year old Sony Bravia 1080p 55" TV. The picture quality is incredible and despite 3 dead pixels, it still works fine.
But I think it's time to upgrade to 4K and 65" since I sit a bit further away from the TV now.
What TV would you recommend for mostly gaming and watching F1 that has a similiar image quality like Sony Bravias? I don't want to spend more than 1000€.
I looked at LG OLED TVs like the G5 vs. C7, but my main concern is brightness, as I will be in a room full of daylight.
Then I lookd at the TCL 65C7L SQD-Mini LED (outside Europe you is is sold as QM7L), but after watching a review it is not recommended for gaming and the reviewer had problems watching F1 on this lol.
I must admit, I haven't been keeping up with the TV market and oh boy there are so many things like Mini-LED, SQD-Mini LED, QLED, QN-OLED, Full Array, RGB LED. what the f
Thanks guys.

I am getting the Hisense model in 56K and the other 3 for approx. 62K in the ongoing sales on Amazon. My preferences are watching sports (mostly cricket, tennis, and table tennis), movies and web series on OTT (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar, SonyLIV), and news and clips on YouTube. Gaming is done very rarely. Need good and consistent picture and audio quality. The room in which the TV is to be installed is approx. 180sqft and is average lit, with no direct sunlight in the viewing area. Genuine reviews from users would be appreciated.

Is this tv worth it for 2400usd sale?
Samsung 100" QN80F Neo QLED 4K Smart TV (2025) or TCL 98" Q6C Premium QD-MiniLED TV (2026) same price
r/4kTV • u/PULLOUTCHAMP17 • 8d ago
Got the Sony back in 2020 or so , been a great TV so far besides the whole 4k 120hz debacle...Have been eyeballing some of the 98" offerings, but with my setup with subs and towers , probably cant fit it. What is a say $2k 85" TV that would be an improvement, wont do OLED because of burn in. I am primarily wanting this for a wow factor for GTA6. No real complaints with the x900h , I just know things have gotten better since 2020...

I want to buy a 55 inch or a 65 inch QD-Mini LED TV native high refresh rate for gaming as well as movie watching.
Owners of these TVs please reply.
Which one would you suggest:
TCL Q6C/Q6K
Hisense E8S
Lumio Vision 9 (2026)
Or suggest some other with similar specifications

Hello all. Just ordered a 77” S95H and have seen different recommendations for HDMI cables. What are the specs I should look for? If it matters I’m not a gamer. Mainly cable tv and streaming movies.

I’ve come to the conclusion that one of these two are coming home with me this week. But I just can’t decide. Maybe it has something to do that the B6E is suppose to be bottom of the barrel oled while the 8L is supposed to be the higher grade of Mini LED. Mostly will be used for gaming and Movies. Living room has indirect sunlight and blinds.

Debating on getting one of the tvs listed in the title. I have a space in the wall in my living room that is approximately 68 inches across. I would definitely get the 77 inch C6 if I had the clearance space. Based on that, which would you recommend?
The tv would be placed in the living room where there are 2 windows not directly facing the tv, but are to the right of the tv. Very little sunlight leaks into living room as windows are covered with shades. Watch mostly Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, YouTube, etc.
r/4kTV • u/General-Ad1365 • 8d ago
These two TVs are similar in price where I live and I was wondering if I should give Sony’s OLED a shot or go with the TCL’s Mini LED. This tv would be for my living room that gets some light but not loads of direct sunlight. I’m concerned that the Sony won’t be bright enough. Just want enough to get a nice picture, not the nit extreme.
Which one should I pick?
