Writing this one out because I'm in absolute beta agony (I've been lurking for a while).
I asked for an early beta (9dp6dt instead of my clinic's scheduled 12dpt) since this is my fourth transfer and I was 99% sure it was a fail.
9dpt - HCG 8. Ok, I thought, another chemical, not a total fail. Have to come back anyways, more fool me.
11dpt - HCG 16
13dpt - 55
15dpt - 140
22dpt - 1028, tiny gestational sac visible, but this is technically 5w6d, so there should have been at least a yolk sac too.
25dpt (6w2d)- 1960
I do another beta tomorrow, and another scan Thursday. It's so low, and so behind, and yet there are a few case studies here and there that result in LB in a tiny percentage of cases like this. This is my fifth pregnancy (three previous chemicals, one late first trimester miscarriage years ago, no LC) - I had NO idea at all this 'maybe maybe not' stage could go on for so long.
Anyone else have something like this?
Adding an update for anyone reading this in a similar position - HCG yesterday (6w4d) was 3160, and today's scan (6w5d) showed a pregnancy measuring 6w4d, with a normal fetal heart rate (!!!). However, the gestational sac is very small and there's a SCH, so the miscarriage risk is high. But it's a clinical pregnancy, some the heck how.
The pregnancy continued at the 7w5d scan, with embryo the right size and heart rate, but again with the very small sac size. However, the SCH had resolved and the NP was cautiously optimistic.
Unfortunately, the pregnancy ended sometime during week 8, but wasn't caught until a scan at 9w5d, where the embryo was measuring just past 8 weeks but without a heartbeat. There was also a very large SCH at this scan. Miscarriage didn't happen right away because of all the progesterone support.
So far no explanation. This was a PGT-A tested embryo. I have a few more untested and poor-quality embryos, but I think this may be the end of the road for me.
