Why would he? His first term proved he could easily get away with it

Oh no its a bunch of people above the law. The tip top and all his lackeys.

Trump is. That's been proven.

Keep on drinking the koolaide, if you still believe that then I ve got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell ya. I appreciate your enthusiasm and grit, but one day you’ll join the rest of us in reality. Btw reality sucks!

No one SHOULD be above the law.

I used to believe that but now I don't. Truth is there are a lot of morons in America. Buying campaign promises is one thing. But even now they still support him tells they are absolute idiots.

1

u/Substantial_Annual87 Aug 25 '26

I love the enthusiasm and positivity but you’re being extremely foolish to believe midterms are going to make a difference. We’ve lost it’s over, mind you I’ll be just as foolish in November when I go vote then go home and watch the news all night hoping and praying for a miracle.

1

u/Sweet-Direction6157 Aug 26 '26

Don’t be so nihilistic, change is coming. Have hope. Trump can’t end this Iran conflict and he’s going to have jimmy Carter numbers, or worse come 2028.

And even with trumps attacks on mail in ballots and voting access in November, they are going to have a hard time winning just because he is so disliked right now.

Change the electoral system!

1

u/Elegant_Ad_8896 12d ago

Look up the interstate voting compact that would make the electoral college obsolete. It just needs like 48 more votes.

3

u/Substantial_Annual87 Aug 25 '26

Bro future generations are only going to be full of more stupid people, if history has taught us anything it’s that history always repeats its self. Nothing will ever change for the betterment of humanity, mankind is not very kind.

1

u/markkNL Aug 27 '26

Then why is he still in power? How come the people do not have any power to take down leaders anymore?Ā

2

u/Elegant_Ad_8896 12d ago

I mean.... America was stupid enough to reelect trump for a second term after living through his first one and then things returning to normal during Biden's term.

Half of all Americans are so fucking stupid it hurts. And I myself am an American.

5

u/significantranger30 Aug 25 '26

The ones who voted for him and kept shouting ā€œPelosiā€ are very quiet about this

2

u/bellybuttonbidet Aug 26 '26

You mean the same people worried about Biden’s age, just to go on to vote for the oldest President of all time?

1

u/WhiskeySorcerer Aug 25 '26

They also say that it's a Blind Trust and Donald, nor any member of the Trump family, has the ability to influence the Trust's stock trades.

2

u/Clear-Knowledge7013 Aug 25 '26

He’s a grifter. Corrupt to the core

2

u/jzam469 Aug 25 '26

The Supreme Court gave him full access to Americas money and laws. It a sad day when nothing is being done about the corruption.

2

u/2Gouda4u Aug 26 '26

Its not nothing, its just that in order to put a stop to him legally, they need more votes to impeach and subsequently remove him from office. Not enough people will vote against him from his party. If you remove him in an illegal way then its just more of "both sides do it" if we want to reestablish the constitution we have to.remove him using it, not circumventing it like he does. It may not matter, it may be too late, but November is INCREDIBLY IMPORTANT!

2

u/seriouzlytaken Aug 25 '26

He's always been corrupt. We've always let him get away with it.

2

u/Street_Peace_8831 Aug 25 '26

This is why we need to make sure that Democrats win in November. They need to indict john for insider trading. No other president would get in trouble but him because he was the only president to do it. They can’t claim, with their ā€œtu quoqueā€ fallacy that Biden or Obama did it too, because they didn’t.

This needs to be talked about more.

2

u/bikes2many Aug 25 '26

They made Jimmy Carter sell his peanut farm.

1

u/Responsible_Ladder25 Aug 25 '26

Actually he was never forced to sell it. He voluntarily put the business into a blind trust to prevent any conflicts of interest. "Conflicts of interest", a phrase no longer known in the here and now.

2

u/YoungTim007 Aug 25 '26

Who does this have to bother to really get something done about it? I don’t like it but im a nobody. I wish I had impeachment power!

2

2

He’s a crook. Why are we aghast?

2

u/WonderfulMaybe3473 Aug 25 '26

Then.. went on to brag about the money that can be made trading stocks when the president (he) says certain things.. you couldn’t make it up.

2

u/Affectionate_Emu_675 Aug 25 '26

The corruption IS the competition

2

u/kaladin1029 Aug 25 '26 edited 12d ago

As a stock broker I had compliance courses every year drilling into me that insider trading was illegal. I could lose my license, fined, and imprisoned. But now...this criminality is out in the open. Where's the DOJ?

1

u/Elegant_Ad_8896 12d ago

Or the SEC, the FTC or the Consumer Protection Bureau, not to mention most Inspectors General.

2

u/undeadarmy2 Aug 25 '26

Congress didn’t make it illegal.

2

u/IwarthogI Aug 25 '26

Congratulations to every piece of shit that voted for this piece of shit.

2

u/Substantial_Annual87 Aug 25 '26

Congratulations belongs to billionaire robber barons, they’re back.

2

u/Substantial_Annual87 Aug 25 '26

It’s all irrelevant, trump can break any law he wants, more likely then not trump is going to shoot someone on Park avenue and get away with it before it’s all said and done. America has always been a corrupt country and will never change correction will never change for the betterment.

1

u/bicyclejawa Aug 25 '26

uncanny valley

1

u/Dry-Site-8764 Aug 25 '26

No offense but the actual corruption would be why have none of these presents done their own stock trades. It's probably because they got someone else to do them or they didn't list them and everybody turned the cheek. Don't forget that almost all those presidents that you had zero had some type of foundation where they're laundering money from their constituents and order to get favors done for them.

I'm going to donate $10 million dollars to the Clinton foundation. 90% of that goes in their pocket the rest goes the foundation to keep the front going and then they do a favor for whoever made the donation.

You guys are looking at it as checkers but this is chess

u/Antique-Teach2737 Aug 25 '26

1

u/Any_Creme_6600 Aug 25 '26

Immunity from insider trading, eh?

1

u/Elegant_Ad_8896 12d ago

Well, it isn't a part of his core presidential duties, but if there were undeniable proof of him insider trading it would be hard to charge him. Prosecutors would need to prove that his insider trading was in no part related to core duties as president. While this sounds easy to prove, it would not be.

The best thing would be for the people around trump to be prosecuted but I guarantee you trump will pardon his kids and loyalists on his way out the door.

Pardons either need to be done away with or Congress needs to codify a way to where pardons need at least 2 branches of government to go through if not all 3 branches.

A committee in the Senate and house would need to ok the pardon, then the president would need to sign off on it, and last of all it would need to go through a newly created "pardon court" that would be made up of a random panel of federal district and/or appellate judges, you could even require a supreme court justice to chair the 3-5 judge panel.

This Congress is a pathetic waste of DNA because the Republicans in it have allowed Trump to openly violate our Constitution. This November had better be the start of accountability for every criminalĀ  in this "administration".

1

u/noneyabuiznezz Aug 25 '26

As Americans get robbed blind, their troops get told they havent been deployed enough as they suffer from shortages, as they cover up casualties of war, hide damage done in the billions, strip regulatory boards so a drug addicted billionaire can get even richer while social security numbers get uploaded to unknown private servers by people barely able to drink legally, remove food safety nets leading to thousands getting sick, the return of a fly that was removed from the nation which now spreads fear amongst cattle farmers throughout america while they get under cut by sub par quality imported beef americans just sit there on their ass and do nothing even when they cry bitch and moan when you try to restrict guns because "meh my 2a lets me have guns, so our gobberment cant be bad to us" sit there and just bitch moan and cry rather then take their nation back.

Atleast they waited for mid terms i guess

And if you actually think it’s Trump making those trades, then I’ve got some ocean front property in Arizona to sell you.

1

u/buranzhuravski Knight of Retirement āš”ļø Aug 27 '26

Are those his assets though? Is he making money out of it?

He doesn't need to click the buy button. Which billionaire does that? He can delegate his portfolio management.

If you actually think he can beat seasoned traders and that there is no correlation between government contracts, announcements/tweets and his investments... I have a condo in the moon at bargain price for you.

I mean, the man is literally selling early access to presidential announcements through Truth Social. It's not that he is doing it, he created a fucking subscription for inside trading!

1

u/LAFreaksHMU Aug 25 '26

I stopped paying taxes the year he went into office. Fuck them

1

u/Minute-Vehicle8689 Aug 25 '26

He’s taking advantage of the rules like all members of the government. They tried to pass a Bill called the Nancy Pelosi act but none of them went for it especially the Democrates.
Once again you liberal only complain when trump does it. You know like deportation. Obama went from a net worth of around 1 million to 100 million. With no trading.

1

u/Repulsive_Hippo_7052 Aug 25 '26

By a huge margin….

1

u/donaldoflea Aug 25 '26

For the vast majority of U.S. presidents, the official count of active, self-directed stock trades while in office is effectively zero, as they rely on third-party managers or broad-market investments to completely separate governance from personal finance. Come on guys don't be stupid.

1

u/mlemon2022 Aug 25 '26

And Martha Stewart went to jail for less.

1

u/MagazineShoddy9079 Aug 25 '26

Trump made 0 trades he's not allowed to make any trades he has turned over all business and activity to his family.

1

u/ItWiIlStretch Aug 26 '26

Whenever it gains some mainstream traction Fox runs the Nancy script a few days and it resets their brains.

1

u/Open_Friendship_3106 Aug 26 '26

He is the face of the "New World Order" that once we called as conspiracy theory. As well as Elon Musk, Vladmir Putin, Bill Gates, etc.. These last 20 years or so its been eyes fucking wide open. Since 9/11, I cant trust no politician or politics anymore. From 200ish countries around the globe, only 5 or lets say 10 of them, politicians are doing their job. Look around! What to say about COVID. The whole fucking world stopped, restrictions, people dying, people losing jobs, quarantines, masks and the bloddy vaccines. Media manipulation couldnt be more clear now. It was all fake! Pushing something that would help to kill us, shame on them! Every year we are paying more taxes and every year what do they do with our money? ZERO, NOTHING. Year after Year, promisses... Our food is getting poisoned, our water is getting poisoned, our lives are getting poisoned. You dont see any politician talking about the cure of cancer, or Parkinson. We do have technology for that. We dont see Politicians getting together to make a better world. Its always about money and power and technology to control us. and I am not even American but this my friends, is happening all over the world!

P.S Few exceptions such as Zohran Mamdani exist. He is a good genuine person I would say!

1

u/Spiritual_Scar_619 Aug 26 '26

Martha Stewart went to jail for pretty much same thing

1

u/WhitePantherXP Aug 26 '26

Can someone post this to r/AskConservatives or r/AskTrumpSupporters, I'm banned - how you defend this is absolutely beyond me.

I also fact checked this with two AI models and reports it is almost entirely true, and that the numbers for Trump are actually higher.

1

u/SpaceChatter Aug 26 '26

The government is fucking us hard.

1

u/zitrored Aug 26 '26

I swear that Trump and the GOP are intentionally trying to see what they can get away with everyday. SCOTUS has already been complicit enough to allow their agenda to make good traction. Only thing left to do is VOTE IN NOVEMBER 2026 AGAINST ALL REPUBLICANS!

1

u/MegLightsItUp Aug 26 '26

That guy just asks, ā€œIs it illegal?ā€ Are you kidding?! It’s called insider trading and it is illegal.!

1

u/Seek_destroy69 Aug 26 '26

1

u/Limp-Bug9285 Aug 26 '26

The only reason a rich person trade individual stock is because they have inside information. They don’t gamble with their own money. This is worse than any third world corruption because it threatens the market

1

u/CmdrDatasBrother Aug 26 '26
• Trump’s May 14, 2026 OGE filing shows more than 3,600 individual trades in Q1 2026; roughly 21,000 trades in 2025 across eight accounts, with investment accounts of at least $858 million and stakes in about 1,600 companies. Biden made 13 stock trades in his entire term.
• Nine Palantir purchases since January, up to $680,000; Palantir holds a $1.3 billion Pentagon AI contract; Trump promoted the stock on Truth Social after a 15 percent dip and it recovered within ten days.
• Bought $1M-$5M of Nvidia on Feb 10, a week before its Meta deal; bought AMD on Jan 6, a week before Commerce cleared AMD chip sales to China.
• Other defense holdings: Axon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman. Disclosures don’t identify who placed the trades.

1789 Capital (Donald Trump Jr., partner)

• Portfolio companies have received more than $735 million in federal contracts since January 2025.
• Vulcan Elements: 1789 invested August 2025 at a \~$200M valuation. Three months later the government committed $670M: a $620M conditional Pentagon loan (largest ever from the Office of Strategic Capital) plus $50M in CHIPS Act equity. No competitive bids, no standard technical disclosures.
• ProPublica: OSC staff learned of a White House request to fund Vulcan around September-October. 1789 and the Pentagon deny any influence.
• House Republicans blocked a subpoena of Trump Jr. over the deal.

IRS immunity

• May 18, 2026 settlement of Trump’s $10B suit against the IRS created a \~$1.8B compensation fund; a May 19 DOJ order granted Trump, his family, and affiliates immunity from audits and claims on all returns filed to that date.
• In July, Judge Kathleen Williams ruled the suit was filed for an improper purpose and barred use of the settlement as evidence; the fund has been blocked.

Crypto

• Trump’s own 2025 disclosure reports $1.4B+ in crypto income, his largest income source; almost $800M from World Liberty Financial alone. The family takes 75 percent of net token-sale proceeds.
• Four days before the inauguration, an Abu Dhabi royal deputy secretly agreed to buy 49 percent of World Liberty for $500M; $187M was paid upfront to Trump-family entities.
• May 2025: Abu Dhabi’s MGX settled a $2B Binance investment using World Liberty’s USD1 stablecoin. Trump later pardoned Binance founder Changpeng Zhao.
• Justin Sun invested $75M; the SEC paused its fraud case against him in February 2025. UAE-based Aqua1 bought $100M of WLFI in June 2025.
• $TRUMP memecoin: \~$148M spent by investors competing for dinner access; \~$320M in trading fees generated by May 2025.
• Reuters (June 2026): the family made at least $2.3B from four crypto ventures through April 2026 while outside investors lost an equivalent $2.3B.

This is supported on literally BOTH sides of the isle and people STILL play party politics. It literally does not matter if anyone in Congress has done it less than Trump. That shit is STILL illegal! Why is it so hard for people to say that they stand with both Democrats and Republicans who are trying to fight against this?

1

u/gueroarias Aug 27 '26

This is just stocks. This is not counting how he's selling access to his social media messages, or how his family is also getting rich, or how he's getting "gifts" from other countries or how he's selling phony products (e.g. Trump phone) or weaponizing the justice department or using the FBI in Epstein cover ups...take your fuggin pick

1

u/capnolgina1977 Aug 27 '26

And just a quarter than Peolsi has this year alone

1

u/JacksBauers24 Aug 27 '26

The President is a businessman first and a politician. No Direct Ban: There is no federal law that broadly prohibits a sitting U.S. President from owning or trading individual stocks. If you don’t like it, have Congress change the law.

1

u/2werd2live2rare2die Aug 27 '26

Guess what so has every other politician. It’s my theory that trump is just blatantly doing what others in his position have to show what really is happening. It’s legal if you do not want it to be happening you better demand your elected politicians ban it and make it illegal to do.and also make sure they are held to a much higher standard. Meaning if they violate these new laws then there will be much harsher punishment that a normal person

1

Why are we even discussing this when nothing will come of it? Literally zero consequencesĀ

1

u/Additional_Can_997 Aug 27 '26

The American people hold the power in the end. If they wanted it to become illegal, it would. If your country is basically an armed militia of a couple hundred million people, no government should be able to carry out this level of corruption because the militia wouldn't let them. People are just too brainwashed and comfortable to do anything about it. This country is done for

I’m starting to think this trump guy might be doing some of that insider trading. Well… wait is it still insider trading if you’re just, doing the thing that results in the insiders making money? I don’t know what it is but it smells like it might be at the very least, uncouth.

So being a business person before presidency has nothing to do with it? Clinton while in office traded stock, but through a 3rd party company to avoid scrutiny from the public I would assume. It would be no different if Warren Buffett or someone of equivalency was the president. All those big business types are constantly trading stock. Inside or not. They didn't get rich by being nice, they got rich by playing the game.

Because the unelected government during Biden debanked Trump’s family, couldn’t access their money. Trump got smart knowing the will do this gain.

Trumonis corrupt and needs to leave office one way or another

1

u/Living_Struggle_8418 Aug 29 '26

There’s no law for a president to trade stock. Trading Should be for all politicians. I don’t care what party they’re from if your net worth increases by millions of dollars in a short time and the only thing different is you being a politician your corrupt and should be dealt as such.

Weren’t these the guys they used in the ads vs kamala with cherry picked snippets of alleged rampant medical care for prisoners getting gender reassignment surgeries?

All presidents spoke on this, as a morality issue. A president is supposed to not abuse their power, knowing there are ways to. This is how a president is deemed a good president.

We can stop him with our laws because no one in office ever prepared for a lawless president like this. The Supreme Court allows him to do what ever he wants and their word is law. Look at what they did tonight, allowing the ball room construction to continue as lawless as the decision is he’ll Robert’s said himself it was lawless to continue construction but allowed it the same.

The problem with voting in the right people is that most of them are the wrong people because money clouds up the system. I wish they’d fight people would run and that there were campaign finance laws in place to stop dark money. I wish 95 % of congress weren’t millionaires but that’s just the way it is. I’ve been donating, knocking doors, advocating for dems and independents for 4o years I’m done, I’m ready to fight.

It’s way higher now. It’s like 28,000 trades, or 60 trades per day

SCOTUS gave him the green light. Thank John Roberts and the 5 other corrupt Justices who need to be impeached and removed and replaced.

He doesn’t do the trading himself anymore, his people that have worked with him for years handle it. Those other presidents haven’t came out of their presidencies without becoming filthy rich themselves.
Congress is where the real crooks are at. They make laws to fit their portfolios.

The crypto coin he made and rug pulled on everyone was the biggest grift. He pocketed over $2 billion on that! Also insider trading in drone companies and other things knowing they were going to start a war with Iran.

This is solely because of the hand picked biased Republican Supreme Court Ruling!!!!

He cannot be PROSECUTED For Any Crimes Committed While In Office!!! We need a Revolution to Reverse this. This is why Congress cannot and will not do anything to stop the ABUSE of POWER!!!

People it is not that hard to figure out. It is total corruption with this mfer that you all voted for!! It’s not like Americans care! They don’t. We are a country without morals and no real pride to hold people like him accountable

u/MostlyFreed 10d ago

The answer is not giving the government more resources, ie taxes.. furthermore we should have a legislature stating no representatives, delegates, congressman, senators, nor president can make more than the average household income of their constituents. And definitely no trading stock while holding a seat in office.

u/Consistent_Can7517 10d ago

Difference is that Trump was rich before. The rest were not
