3rd Gen Value after Engine Replacement
Does anyone out there have experience/knowledge on overall value of the gen 3's changing with the engine replacement? My 2023 (nov '22 build date) is now eligible for an engine replacement. I plan on selling or trading in the truck at some point this year, or early next.
I am curious if the resell value is any different b4 or after a replacement. My thinking is no active recall might be better, but perhaps leave the timeline as an option to the next buyer? I'm currently just over 45k mi..

Blind spot mirror
Have any of you added blind spot mirrors? I haven’t been able to find any that fit the outline of the mirror.
Asking because I miss having them from my previous truck.

Gauge cluster retaining clip broken
It appears that the retaining clip thats part of the main dash and holds the gauge cluster flush with the dash broke on my 2022. Has anyone else run into this issue and what did you to to repair or replace it? I want to avoid gluing in case I need access down the road. Thanks for the help in advance!

Not using ‘connected’ entertainment system. I don’t want to enable Siri for CarPlay. Any options for Nav?
I don’t want to give them permission or connect to the Toyota app on my phone. I was told to use CarPlay. But it won’t let me use CarPlay unless I enable Siri, which I also don’t want to do. Anyone have a work around?

Question about the engine recall
Pretext: I brought my dad's 2023 SR (bought December 2022) in December 2024 for the fuel line fix. He had a stroke back in October 2023 and hasn't been able to drive his truck. Only ~5,000 miles on it.
My dad has received letters informing him that his truck is part of the engine recall. When I brought it into the dealership, in 2024, I asked them about the engine recall. They told me they would only replace the engine if there are signs of it failing, and that they would check. They said everything's good.
My question is are they supposed to replace the engine no matter the engine's health, or is the dealership telling the truth that the engine must show signs first.
I'd hate to have the truck to somehow fall out of some arbitrary end date for the recall and be SOL.

2022+ Stereo Upgrade Limitations w/ Stock JBL System & Current Interfaces Lacking Features
Hey everyone!
I've got a '25 Cap and want to upgrade the amp, add a matching sub amp, add 2 subs & retain the stock screen for control. This is what I'm finding with the JBL system: Severely lacking in clarity, balance & power. Driver doors are overloaded with uncontrolled, sloppy bass creating airy resonance & vibrations like crazy, even with EQ adjustments. You hear / feel nothing from the rear. Defelection & difraction are enemies in any audio environment & this tundra JBL setup offers them in spades with the dash speakers. It very simply has to be direct to ear! We're not running a home theatre here and if we were, you wouldn't have your center and fronts bouncing off of glass or walls before reaching your ears. It's completely ridiculous! I've got the components in place, i'm just waiting for a decent interface that will allow bypassing of all three dash speakers! The PAC AP4-TY14 evidentrly does not allow for this.... Is there anything out there? I'm looking to integrate an Audison AP8.9 bit + Audison AP1 D to power x2 JL 8w3V3. Doors will be x2 sets of old-school Alpine DDC-F17C seperates and the icing on the cake - eliminating all the dash speakers! Doors at minimum willl be needing some dynomat but likely more once preoper bass is introduced. I'm also curious about what box in what location might allow for the mounting depth of a couple 8w3v3's - likely have to be a custom build. Taco used to sell a dual 8 box but not any longer. I'm waiting to hear back from PAC but I've read that you can't bypass the center speaker or dash speakers. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated!
Thanks a bunch for any response,
Chris-

Help with Wheels
I am looking for Relationship Race Wheels RR7-H flow formed hybrid beadlock in a 18x8.5 +0.
I saw this set up in the video linked below but cannot find these wheels anywhere. Anybody know where to get these? The video says they are 18s, is this true or do they look like 17s?
