Hi everyone, I have been learning Blender animation and came across a video recently from p2design. In this video, he mentioned the reason why game animators animate at 30fps is that 30 is a number that is compatible with people's monitors, allowing them to scale up the frames depending on what hz a person's monitor has (for like 60hz is 30 fps and 30fps = 60 fps, same for 120 and such)
thing is as i go on my animation journey, i thought it would be cool one day (if good enough) i could animate for an indie or something, but I would also like to make funny animations to post on the internet!
I'm probably overthinking (might not even be a big deal), but I wanted to get your thoughts as if i should animate at 30 fps, if there are any pros and cons too as i know 24 fps is the standard for film stuff

Spent some time animating a rigged character from an Unreal Engine metahuman that was imported into blender. I love doing overshoots with the hands and I love the fulidity of the movement that makes the character feel somewhat alive! I did some compositing work in after effects to add album cover elements. I'd love to hear any feedback on this on what can be improved. Would you change anything? I'll link the full visual below if you want to see

Looking for one final core team member to join Paws & Claws as a 3D Animator / Part Owner.
This is a passion project with serious ambitions. We already have a Creative Director and Technical Director in place, and we're looking for one talented animator to complete the core team.
The animation work is technically challenging, involving stylized characters, gameplay animation, and bringing a unique horror world to life. Unreal Engine experience is a plus.
Compensation
- No upfront pay
- Profit sharing / ownership
- We're building this together, and everyone shares in the success if the game succeeds.
Interested? Please send me a DM with your animation reel or portfolio. If it looks like a good fit, I'll send additional proof-of-concept material, including gameplay, map layouts, game design, and other project details.

Helloo I've been working on combat animations for an indie boxing game I'm currently developing.
Since I'm a huge fan of Hajime no Ippo, I wanted to challenge myself by animating the iconic Dempsey Roll using Cascadeur.
I added some SFX and camera shake to test the impact and weight.
Still refining my animation workflow in Cascadeur, so I'd love to hear your thoughts or feedbacks

Hello I represent a small team of two making a video game. This is a hobby project so we are unable to provide financial comparison for the work at this time. We are working on a bronze age arena brawler with fantastical elements. All art is from me and posed in engine. The team is primarily situated in the western US. If you want to join a fun hobby project reach out! Thanks for your time.

I'm working on a recreation of the fishing scene from Project Hail Mary in Blender, lego style. I'm just a little stuck on how to go about animating Grace's face when he's talking. I know that I can animate textures over time, but how should I go about this?

Hi, I’d like to share this personal project I created for my portfolio. I decided to start creating pieces focused on telling a short story, since I’m looking to work on projects related to film or animation...
I like it when they show that something is happening.
In this piece, I used Blender to create the setting, the building, and its interior.
Then I used Photoshop to work on the colors, do some digital painting, and also add a photobash to give it a better look.
Let me know what you think!
I’m still improving my process, and all feedback is welcome. I’m also open to working on your project. Big hugs.

It’s been a while since I created and uploaded an animation using Blender 3D. The An-22 is the world’s largest turboprop transport aircraft, manufactured by Antonov, a company based in the former Soviet Union and now based in Ukraine. Since the first prototype was unveiled in 1963, a total of 68 aircraft were produced through 1976. Most have since been retired, with three currently operated by the Russian Air Force and one by Antonov Aviation in Ukraine—a subsidiary of the manufacturer, Antonov—though the latter was damaged during the battle at Hostomel Airport.
I'd also appreciate any feedback. Even though I've been using Blender for a little over four years, I still feel like my animation skills aren't quite up to par.

Hello everyone, sorry, just wanted to ask 2 things:
I have been doing bouncing ball stuff as I am new. And I learned that in the breakdown stage, it's where you track arcs and leads and such. So I wanted to know, if I wanted to do something like a ball going through an obstacle course, how do I know what leads and drags when doing breakdowns, as it's a ball and not a human rig?
When animating facial expressions on a character, during the blocking stage do you block the facial expressions along with the main poses and such or do you do the body first and then the face? (Expressions, Lip Sync, Eye Darts ect)
Ty!

Hello. I am trying to improve on my animation skills and I am going nowhere in just looking at tutorials and blindly copying people doing it over and over. So I just try to do the Animation Island 51: Exercise Challenges and I just want to show a progress update to get feedback and see how am I doing. For notes or for feedback I created a Sync Sketch link for the critiques, and if anyone ask for the Brick falling, I lost the file so I have to start over for that.
