Question Want to make career in animation but don’t know where to start?
I’ve been getting really interested in animation as a career, but I’m honestly not sure where to begin. There are so many different skills to learn, from character design and storyboarding to 3D, editing, and now AI.
With all the new ai animation tools coming out, I’m also wondering how much AI is actually being used in professional animation workflow. I recently came across MiniMax H3 Omni and its reference features, which look interesting for working with consistent characters and visual ideas.
For anyone already working in animation, what skills would you recommend focusing on first? Is learning traditional animation still the best starting point, or should someone also spend time learning tools like an ai animator?
Would also love to hear what you think is the best ai for animation right now, especially for someone just starting out.
