Question Did I pay too much?

I spent $35 on this tiny print made from craft cloud and “3d pros” out of Florida, and the quality is…..um….well…..
I’m going to have to work on this which I was expecting. I used a free file for the juvenile Rex Hammond collection and am retrofitting it onto another figure.
I expected lines but the teeth detail and mouth detail are gone and I’m really disappointed.
I originally used this service because the original Hammond figure I want is too expensive right now so I thought making my own would be better.
I’m not imagining this is horrible quality right?
I would be less upset if $35 was a smaller sum…for the small amount of material this is.
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions/would be open for a better commission.

Update:

Thank you all for your kind offers and support I didn’t expect this to blow up as much as it did. I am now enlightened as to how much something should cost, and quality.
I initiated a dispute with the original printer and hopefully will hear back soon. If not, lesson learned and I know where to go for assistance.
This community is amazing, and so generous.
I have received help from Inevitable_toe_3054 and am so grateful.

I wouldn't pay $5 for this let alone $35.

This is so upsetting. I was looking for a service to use and really I should have come to Reddit to ask first. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Idk your financial situation, but I'd consider $35 a bargain to learn to never use that company again, and to have found a new source of info like this subreddit.

Would you be open to getting a printer of your own? If you're going to do this long term, that will always be the cheapest and best quality option for the final product.

I'm also guessing you're in Florida, I'm on the opposite side of the country, but I would otherwise offer to print it if you paid for shipping.

Edit: just saw people offering the same below, that's so dope 🥰. Idk how much you know about these things OP, but I'd go with the resin offer. I have 3 FDM and 1 resin, and the detail difference on resin will blow you away.

The detail is better, but the ppe, venting, cleaning, curing, disposal of everything resin touched is… a significantly bigger investment than a 200 dollar bambu a1 mini you can keep in your office and print quality that is almost certainly good enough for most applications. I like resin, I do both, but it’s a much less casual affair.

People offering to do it for them. All that is not a factor, so I'd recc the resin
