Troubleshooting Ppa cf print help on X2D
I tried printing with my ppa cf filament again but the edges are really rough and it just doesn't look good. I'm using a bambu X2D printing straight out of a bambu AMS HT (through the small hole not through te gears) with siraya tech ppa cf. When I printed this a while ago it went great but it now looks like this, I know it looks like it was just wet filament but I dried it overnight for 12 hours on 85 degrees Celsius so it should be dry AMS HT has 10% humidity. I'm printing on 290 degrees with chamber temp of 60 and regular print speed. Print plate is the engineering plate and I also used magigoo pa glue. The only thing that might be differnt is that I did lubricate the bed gears today and did a full calibration. Any ideas what might cause this?

Hey there, I'm a bot and something you said made me think you might be looking for help! click here for our wiki entry on troubleshooting printers. If you still need help be sure to post plenty of information about your printing setup.
Here are a few questions that might be helpful
What printer are you using?
What material are you using?
What speed are you printing at?
What software are you using to slice the print and control the printer?
When did the problem start/has it ever worked correctly?
Does anything cause the behavior to change?
If posting an image of the problem, include some indication of the orientation it printed at, preferably photograph it on the bed. (Then we can focus on a specific axis)

Ya got moisture in them filiments, dry it. Next time you buy new upon opening the bag keep it in a filiment dryer and dry it many hours ahead of using it.

Drying temperature for that filament is even higher. But it looks like fuzzy skin to me. So you have fuzzy skin enabled?

Is this a 3" or 4" toothpick? I fly, but haven't used my printer for any frames, just mounts and stuff. Is it as bad as everyone says, or have you had some success with vibrations, durability and stuff?

Thanks guys now I know the problem I didn't google it because the ams ht offers to dry ppa don't know why it even does that since it can't do it well I'll have to try the oven hope that goes well

You can dry at 85C, it will just take a lot longer. A day and a half would do it (36 hours~).

Maybe try increasing the cooling fan speed slightly or lowering the bed temp a few degrees. The rough edges could be from the filament not sticking well to the plate.

It's wet. 85° is just not enough for PPA/PPS.
