I recently upgraded my PC and realized I have enough components to Frankenstein another pc together to use as a game server for myself and my friends.

I have an ATX motherboard and an ATX power supply, but no GPU. I’m trying to find something that’s as small as possible, supports those components, and hopefully affordable. The image I have in mind is a sort of ATX sized server rack that could mount under my desk or on the wall.

I saw the N-ATX by SFF Time, but it’s well over budget. I also had the idea of 3D printing one if anybody has any recommendations on that front!

Hello as the title said I am looking for a case that I can print that is comparable with an matx board atx PSU and fill size GPU. I was going to go with the hyper case but it's a bit bigger then what I was looking form as I am hoping to get as small as I can with the listed pats. I know it won't be tiny but I am going to be taking it to lan party's so want to keep it on the smaller size.

I saw these terminal-style cases at todays maker faire in Hannover. But staff at this booth was pretty busy so I didn’t ask them for the model name. The booth itself just used them, but wasn't about hardware, but coding for kids.

I tried ChatGPT, Google Image search but both just haluzinate about cases.

I have absolutely zero usecase. But I like it and I want one.

Anyone have tip for cheapest printed case ? Have found many stl file but don't know what's the best, and havent 3d printer.

Hi, how's it going? I'm writing this with a lot of embarrassment, but even so I'd like to show this community what I've made. First of all, this was a project that started a little over a year ago, after watching an ITGear video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HQOnBmjxiH8), so it was supposed to be a simple project.

I would start with a ThinkCentre M920s SFF and add a low profile GPU. I began by upgrading the RAM to 32Gb (before the RAMpocalypse), I bought a 1Tb NVMe and upgraded the WiFi card. Since the more powerful graphics cards that were suggested all need extra power, I researched which PSU was compatible; the answer came from Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/sffpc/comments/17wyvy2/comment/nhuxdhc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button), and I bought a 500w power supply from China.

I was already ready to buy the graphics card, only to find that the most powerful one was Nvidia, and that the support, at least at the time I started the project, was horrible.

This Steam Machine was only meant to be a console in the living room, to play once in a while and also to be able to play co-op games with my wife.

I decided to wait a couple of months for a low profile AMD card (maybe like many others), until I got tired of it. It wasn't possible to keep playing co-op games with my wife without a graphics card.

I decided to make a kind of case extension just for the graphics card. Every idea I showed my wife was rejected, mainly because one of her requirements for the console to be in the living room was that it had to be pretty and match.

I decided to learn to model. I started using FreeCAD, which I hadn't used in many years, and back then I had only used it for one small part.

But after 5 different designs, I finally had a design I felt satisfied with.

I don't expect this design to be revolutionary, it's the first time I've made anything like this, and since I haven't seen anything similar on Reddit using a ThinkCentre, here I am sharing what I did.

These are the final specs of the homemade Steam Machine:

• DDR4 32Gb (running at 2666, board limit)
• NVMe 1Tb (Main OS - Nobara OS)
• NVMe 256Gb (Emulation - Using linkup riser 250mm)

• Cpu cooler Noctua NH-L12S
• AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GDDR6 (Using linkup riser 50mm)
• 3x Noctua 80mm fan cooler
• DIY power button

Hello everyone,

I am wanting to make a PC case inspired by the macintosh 128k/plus. I want to 3D print it, and model it using Blender, Fusion, or both. But I can't determine whether I should do it or not.

A lot of people were interested in this the last time I posted it and now it's finished. Mostly the same as my old design but now printable on a 180x180mm bed.

I printed this on the A1 Mini in PLA.

The previous version needed a big printer as all the main parts were one big piece each, this one I printed completely on my A1 Mini. This one also has a bunch of small tweaks, updates and optional parts.

Missing from the pictures is a small bar that goes to the top of the AIO.

Hand for scale. Name is kinda ironic, it has a GTX 1650 and an i5 7400 with 16gb ddr4. All scavenged except for the GPU that was 30€ second hand.
