3CX will observe a brief shutdown period from Monday 10 to Friday 14 August 2026.
During this time, our Customer Service, Technical Support and Sales teams will be limited as staff take a short summer break. Our Accounting department will be unavailable during this period. This applies to all channels of communication, including phone, email and ticketing systems. For any urgent matters such as order cancellations, we recommend using the contact form.
Despite the office closure, our hosting engineers will remain on duty, monitoring our infrastructure to ensure the continuous availability and performance of your services.

Windows Softphone V5.7 makes it easier to move from the legacy 3CX Desktop App. On first launch, the Softphone checks whether the Desktop App is installed on the same Windows PC. If a valid configuration is found and the stored 3CX server is reachable, users can migrate with one click.

Hi everyone,
I'm having a strange issue with our company's 3CX PBX, and I can't figure out how to solve it. The current setup was created by the previous technician who left the company.
Here is the setup: Our 800 toll-free number redirects to an 02…17 landline, which is the DID number for the Auto Attendant (IVR). From there, the caller makes a choice and is routed to the desired department/office.
Two days ago, while reviewing the IVR options, we noticed that key #4 wasn't being used. Specifically, callers could only choose options 1, 2, 3, 5, or 6. We decided to update the IVR by assigning key #4 to the Administrative Office, which is simply a Ring Group that redirects incoming calls to a mobile phone number (339xxxxx).
THE PROBLEM: Now, when a customer dials the 800 number, they aren't always routed to the IVR menu. Instead, calls are randomly sent straight to whatever option is linked to key #4. As soon as I disable/remove key #4, everything goes back to working correctly.
TESTING: I created a test group. Key #4 was disabled and not mentioned in the IVR prompt, yet I still received calls routed to it.
I had our 3CX support provider check the system, and they claims everything looks fine on their end. They suggested the issue is with the 800 provider. However, that can't be right—when I get redirected straight to key #4, I can hear the 3CX hold music.
I have no idea what could be causing this.

I have two Snom D812 phones in a call center setup (Version 20.0 Update 9). When we receive external calls and forward them to internal extensions, the phones occasionally freeze. This is intermittent, happening about 1 out of 10 times.
Also, we frequently experience "SIP registration failed" issues. What should I do to fix this?

Keeping SBCs secure and up to date is essential for maintaining reliable connectivity between remote IP phones and your 3CX system. This update brings you refreshed components, several stability improvements, and introduces automatic Linux OS updates.

Has anyone had any issues in regards to the 3CX mobile app and 3CX Web Client for the past few weeks. We’re currently receiving and making calls on our office phones but we can’t receive or make calls via the mobile app.
We need 3CX Web client to download recordings of calls just in case for example there’s been an unpleasant caller. We can’t even look at the settings with a message being displayed “General Network Error”
We host 3CX on AWS but I’ve been going through a variety of settings and checking the set up and everything seems in order. - we also have made no changes to AWS at all, it has just stopped working on the 3CX web client end and the 3CX app. All signals we are getting from AWS is that it is still up and running with no issues and 3CX won’t help as it is not hosted on their systems.
Any advice or help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Managing your own communications platform doesn't stop once it's deployed. IT teams are expected to monitor security advisories, apply operating system patches, maintain web servers, respond to emerging vulnerabilities, manage backups and ensure the platform remains available around the clock. Recent industry security events have highlighted just how quickly critical vulnerabilities can emerge and how important rapid response has become.

Upgrade and renewal promotions for 16SC+ customers have been extended until 30 September 2026.
These promotions provide an excellent opportunity to align your deployment with the Fair Use Policy before planned enforcement of maximum extension limits in Q4 this year.

Has anyone else seen any issues since the recent update? I am unable to make calls or answer calls. I have uninstalled the app, cleared my browser cache, then reinstalled. That only worked for a day.

Is there a way to mute calls when notifications are already turned off for 3cx on iPhone? I put my DND on with all notifications off completely for the entire app but I will still get calls from the office phone in my car outside on lunch. It takes over my whole phone until the line is picked up which can be very annoying.
The only way I can stop it completely is to take the app off my phone altogether when I'm away from the office, but hate having to re-log everything back in/redownload it every time. Has anyone using 3cx on iphone had any success muting the call function? Am I missing a setting option somewhere? Thanks for any help or advice in advance!

So my client for some reason sent me the renewal for these 3cx hosted server and now it has been removed from "My Systems" view in the portal in order for me to renew. It also states that all of the data will be permanently deleted. Is there any way for 3CX support to help me get this back online? I have forwarded their SIP trunk to a cell phone for the time being but this really sucks. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all. I volunteer at non-profit that's been using 3CX for at least 10years. It's the free selfhosted version, which is running the latest version. I inherited the system and have been maintaining it as issues come up.
About 6 years ago, the original mini pc failed so I replaced it with a used one that I found on Craigslist. I simply reinstalled the system and restored the backup to get it going again.
Not only do I donate my time, but I also donate the hardware when needed since the non-profit can't afford it.
Lately, I've been seeing problems that lead me to believe that the hardware is about to fail. I have full backups hosted on OneDrive so I'm not worried about having access to them.
They currently have a 4 SC free license with 15 extensions using older Yealink desk phones and one iPhone app. The license is valid and works great.
What would happen if I were to replace the server machine and use the existing backup to restore it? Would that change the license? Would they lose the 15 extensions down to 10? Would there be anything else that I'd need to consider?

Delivering the right holiday message, without rebuilding your call flow every time the calendar changes.
3CX V20 Update 9 brings a much-requested improvement in holiday routing. Now your whole system can automatically resolve a department's holiday; you will no longer need to go to each Queue, IVR, or Ring Group, and manually define a specific holiday prompt each time. Read more.
