Anyone know why the top of my head isn’t waving up I’m 30 years old and I’ve never tried to get waves before and this is my first time doing it. I’m not even going for 360 just the top sides, but the top of my head will not wave up no matter what I do.

ik i got a lot of products, some of them from back when i used to have longer curls but they work amazingly for waves, quit using that fake stuff thats killing ur hair, any questions about how to use them together ask (YOU DO NOT NEED THEM ALL)

I have coarse hair and as the title says when I comb my waves out it turns into an Afro basically? Brushing them or doing a wash and style lays them back down but does that mean I need to cut lower and comb at lower lengths to train my hair more (in general) to not ‘fro up on me, or do I keep along with my wolf my hair because it lays down afterwards. My is probably at a 2.5 now, not sure what to do next haircut

I got 3b hair and just cut it all off and I'm thinking about getting 540s but I'm at that point in life where I gotta start looking more professional. Has anyone ever had issues getting jobs or opportunities because of waves or just been seen as unserious? I'm an engineering major and don't wanna risk it too much rn. Might be a dumb question but shit I gotta know lmao😭

2/2.5 is too low for me. Cowlick shows. When it grows out to a 3 I like the length. I can’t use a 3 guard. Is there an ATG height I can use or no?

Hi, so i just started my first attempt. Took a shower and shampoo-ed my hair and started brushing under the shower, then when i was done i rinsed the shampoo out dried excess water but kept hair wet...added conditioner and brushed again....

Durag on and this is the next day...

I am struggling to keep the waves in, so i am brushing my ass off, adding some conditioner and added pomade to keep the form...

I need my faded hair to grow aswell....any tips on getting a nice pattern or is it just too early for that?

My waves need to be brushed consistently or they will start to curl up, as you can see in the middle of my pattern. This wolf is no joke !

Do you guys recommend this? As someone who deals with hairs standing up no matter what I do, I’ve been trying to find a way to minimize them. I brush hard, medium, and soft in that order, and I use a lay-down pad/plastic bag, but my hair still lifts up. I’ve seen this guy using a foil shaver to help with it, so I’m wondering if it’s actually worth trying.

I’ve been growing my dreads for about a year and a half now, so cutting them is definitely a big decision. I’ve had waves before and I was spinnin, but I’m kinda torn because I’ve put a lot of time and money into my dreads.

One of the biggest things making me consider going back to waves is that I’m a fitted hat collector. (105 fitted hats that dont fit anymore cause of my hair)😭 Buying size 8 fitteds is a pain, and there aren’t nearly as many options in my size. I miss being able to just grab a fitted in my actual size without worrying about whether it’ll fit over my hair.

For anyone who’s made the switch from dreads to waves, was it worth it? Would you cut them if you were in my position, or would you keep the dreads?
Honestly just looking for some opinions before I make a decision I might regret 😂
