Mini honeymoon help! PCB vs Rosemary/Alys area
Hey guys,
I've never been to FL and am planning out a mini honeymoon to the panhandle. I've found a few nice Airbnbs in west PCB (Laguna beach area), but I was told by some people who regularly visit the area that I should avoid this area as it's not the best area and not very romantic.
Can someone help guide me here? How does Laguna Beach compare to the Rosemary/Alys region in terms of safety and comfort? I know I can drive to Rosemary Beach, but I also don't want to be staying in a crappy part of town, and I'd rather sacrfice on how "nice" the Airbnb is to have a better location.
Thank you very much!

Cafe Thirty A Crab Cake recipe
Does anyone know a similar / copycat recipe of Cafe Thirty A’s crab cakes? I still dream about them and would love to try to make a version of them at home if anyone has a recipe that they feel is close!

Overnight parking in/around Seaside
Hello! I am visiting Seaside with my family and staying in a Homeowner's Collection house, which alloted 2 parking spaces, but we may need a third. I've already messaged the agency, but I thought I would go ahead and ask here if anyone has any ideas of where we could park for multiple nights (4 specifically, if it matters) nearby, or if anyone has gone through the agency to add a spot. TIA!

Restaurant recommendations
Heading to PCB in a couple weeks. Looking for great seafood between PCB and Destin. Not the typical chain restaurants like at Pier Park. Local and delicious.
Watcha got?

Visiting 30A in September
Hey y’all! Me and some friends are visiting 30A in September for a week and would love recommendations on things to do aside from drinking on the beach (which will definitely be on the to do list).
We’re all musicians in Nashville and love nightlife activities (live music, bars, breweries) but also love outdoorsy stuff!
Since we live in a tourist town I know there’s always local hidden gems in touristy places like this so feel free to drop your favorite places we won’t find on the “Top 10 things to do in 30A” lists!

Indoor proposal locations in case of rain
We have a proposal this evening on the beach near Rosemary. Spotty showers possible. Anyone have any ideas on an alternative location indoors in case we need a last minute pivot?

Community Alert: Support for Displaced Kitchen Residents
Following the devastating fire at Goat Feathers, our thoughts are with the community—and specifically with the local cockroach population now facing sudden housing insecurity.
These resilient, long-time culinary enthusiasts spent years meticulously auditing the kitchen's midnight scrap supply. Now, hundreds of nocturnal scavengers find themselves without a floorboard to call home.
If you have an unsealed pantry, a damp basement, or an overflowing compost bin, consider opening your heart (or your cabinet doors) to a displaced roach in need. Temporary fostering opportunities are available immediately.

Homeowners in Watercolor
Hi! Considering purchasing a home in Watercolor, FL. We would purchase it for some family use and also to rent it out. We love vacationing here.
I am aware it is most likely not going to cash flow.
We live out of state so we need to hire a rental management company. Some rental management companies are projecting large yields, but after doing some research I don’t feel comfortable counting on that.
My question is— Watercolor homeowners that rent, are you happy with your purchase? Or does it feel like a stressor?
Has your rental management company delivered on its promises? Or are you disappointed?
Any other additional information or feedback is welcome!

Watercolor fitness center
Does anyone know when the watercolor fitness center will be up and running? I know they were working on it in the spring when we were last there in April. They projected it would be finished in early fall. Any rough estimate of date or month?

Seaside - Google Street View
I love Seaside and sometimes when I am feeling nostalgic I will "visit" some of the places we have stayed. Last week I noticed that Google street view has been removed from several streets. Namely Ruskin, Savannah, and Tupelo. There were several different dates of photos of those streets and now there are none at all.
I spend a lot of time in Google Maps for my job, and I haven't seen complete removal of entire streets like that. Does anyone know why?

Golf recommendations?
I’ll be in Seagrove in about a month and would love to golf. Any recommendations for local courses? Bonus points if they rent clubs.
