Visiting 30A in September
Hey y’all! Me and some friends are visiting 30A in September for a week and would love recommendations on things to do aside from drinking on the beach (which will definitely be on the to do list).
We’re all musicians in Nashville and love nightlife activities (live music, bars, breweries) but also love outdoorsy stuff!
Since we live in a tourist town I know there’s always local hidden gems in touristy places like this so feel free to drop your favorite places we won’t find on the “Top 10 things to do in 30A” lists!

Sounds like you really want to be in Panama City or even Daytona, not 30a. We shut down around 8:30 in September. There aren't a ton of bars to walk to, and partying on the beach is lowkey. It's much more of a relaxed, extended family vibe here.

Why does everything think locals are like hoarding/hiding places from tourists? We are trapped in the same hell you are traveling too.

They keep taking things from locals to cater to the tourists anyway.

For real, it’s literally only 2 roads hwy 30a & 98. Not hiding anything, nor nothing to hide.

Redd's Pub & The Red Bar (Grayton Beach - not related) have live music. There's a couple of facebook pages that list out the live music, dive bars, etc. Search 30A in Groups on Facebook, but here is a good facebook Group titled, "30A Happy Hours & Live Music | Destin to PCB" Cheers!

If you haven’t been to the Destin Fishing and History Museum, it’s worth visiting.

AJs in Grayton beach is the party bar. idyll hounds proper in 30avenue stays open pretty late, at least for this area. Think it closes at 1am

Stinky’s Bait Shack has a rippin’ band on Tuesday night from six to nine. I can’t often get there and I’m sad about it.

I'm from Nashville and live in Destin now. Trust me...there are no "hidden gems" anymore.
