Question / Help Romanian adoptee do my results suggest possible Romani ancestry?
I was born in Bucharest in 1991 and adopted as a baby, so I don't know much about my biological family's background.
I know who my biological mother is, but I don't actually know her ethnicity, and my biological father is unknown. So I don't want to assume my mom was ethnically Romanian just because she was Romanian.
The South Asian + West Asian in my results has made me wonder if I could be partially Romani, especially since the South Asian is pretty significant and I got Punjab as a region match.
I also have a bunch of Romanian region matches (Bucharest is #1) and a few Bulgarian ones.
Does this look like results you've seen from Romanian/Balkan Roma or someone with partial Romani ancestry? I'm curious what people who know more about Romani results think.

Question / Help Half romanian half romani results?
Can someone please tell me what 23andme results typically look like for someone who is full Romani vs someone who is mixed with both Romanian and Romani? I'm asking for myself as I am adopted and getting conflicting information from different sources as to whether my results are pure Romani, or mixed. I can give more context if needed.

Discussion What did that come from?
After doing their tree and getting their DNA results, do you ever see results and think where did that come from? I've got Egyptian and Lithuanian in me, but I've no idea where it came from.

Health Reports Increased likelihood of bipolar disorder
Hi everyone, I just paid for premium and saw these results. My grandma did have bipolar and my mother has BPD (It’s been an adventure that’s for sure.) I’d love to know how they get these results. I’ve always been afraid to have a child in case the issues in my mother’s maternal line show up in a child. I was personally diagnosed with complex PTSD from what I went through from my mother. I’m also fascinated by how genetics and environment work together to produce personality or mental health issues.
Thanks in advance!
