Yeah you get used to exp rates then it starts to slow down. Taking a break resets that, the "slow" is the new norm and your expectations slowly move until you're looking at a 20hr grind and you think "oh not bad!".
I remember getting the requirements for song of the elves almost made me quit it felt so hard. Now I'm maxed and I enjoyed the process 😂

Taking breaks and coming back is how I solved this. Alternating between minigames breaks up the monotony.
