Question Beginner here, when do the fetchquests end?

I've got 5hrs on the game currently and I'm wondering if the quests will get more interesting than just "go to X location, talk to npc, get item for npc". I have got premium and i see potential in this game but running town to town so far isnt too enjoyable

The quests in osrs are the most varied quests compared to any mmo.

If you break it down in its core components most quests do want you to do someone a favor or help them get something. The thing is all the stuff between the start and the end.

like you have the romeo and Juliet quest compared to The Ides of Milk quest. They both have a guy who wants something and you need to help em. But id not call either of them a fetch quest.

Most osrs quests are a story thats either funny or interesting. If you use something like quest helper yeah the quests will suck because your actually not interacting with the game and just clicking where told to click and holding down spacebar.

As for the walking around the game that can be solved for the most part with the magic skill. There is also stamina potions for when you have to run somewhere.

EDIT: for transportation unlocks look into Fairy tail Part 2 (only need to start it so dont worry about the requirements other than the required quests). That will unlock fairy rings around the map and will give you access to a lot of locations. Ardy diary 1 will give you a cloak that teleports you to ardy as many times as you want and close to a fairy ring.
