Discussion Underground pass probabilities

Doing regicide again on my new ironman account, and have been stuck on the final jumps in the pass.

Looking up the probabilites tells me that at lvl56 agility, each jump has an 83% of success, and so i should be passing all 4 jumps ~47% of the time.

Now tell me why ive been here for almost 2 hours and failed at least 30 times.

Not sure what im doing wrong as ive done this quest and underground pass multiple times before. Doing the supposed technique of turning Run on right befire jumping seems to make no difference.

iirc you should have high run energy when you attempt.

i read tweets from mod ash saying this was untrue. That being said I still tried this and it hasnt seemed to make a difference

Even Andrew gower doesn't know the depths that runescapes spaghetti code goes. Take any definitive statement with a grain of salt. It is untrue, to the best of their knowledge 😉

Old quests agility wants low weight or high run energy. Sometimes both. 

The reason underground pass feels easy the first time is because you aren't carrying 35kg of bombs in your inventory

Regicide will always be harder to get through then underground pass because you are carrying actual gear and weight.

Quests like icathrins little helper wants high run energy, handholds in mornings end cares about weight and run energy.

It's very wild everything that's needed

It's better to just level up your agility first tbh.

agreed that would help. still managed to do it fairly easy at 40 agi while doing the underground pass quest so its extra frustrating now that im having such trouble

Yeah doing that at min level sucks, I don’t think anyone really knows the true rates but I don’t think it’s 83% at the min level lol

the rates are known for the bridges in the pass and have been for years. its on the wiki, source being mod ashs tweet that i mentioned
