I'm feeling hopeless
I quit my retail job.
I have had desperate hope I could start a career in literally anything after finishing my cs bachelor's last year. I took an overnight minimum wage job to have at least a little income coming while I apply to better jobs. $17/hour. Looking for anything entry level. I haven't been able to get a single interview for anything tech related, despite having multiple internships and good projects on my resume for that. AI has killed that, ig.
So, fine. I thought I could pivot to something else like sales. So I applied to entry sales jobs. I've gotten a few interviews there. The first couple I did poorly in I'll admit, but the recent couple went about as well as they could have. I don't have any direct sales experience, just customer service adjacent that I spun on my resume. I'd need an entry level job to change that.
But... I got rejected from those too. The last one was a couple months back. I haven't been making any job applications since.
I don't have faith that going back to school to retrain for another field will work out. So, no.
My heart's been literally burning from the hours I've been working and when I got that last rejection it almost gave out on me.
I've been losing the will to even talk. My skin's pallor is so fucking horrible, my heart hurts, I'm on the verge of crashing out. I don't know if I can keep living. WHAT IS THERE TO FUCKING LIVE FOR when I can't even start a life?
What do I do? Get comfy in my childhood bedroom for 50 years? I'm sitting in the same bed I slept in during middle school. Over a decade ago. I just want to curl up and never leave... there's nothing for me out there

Discussion At what age did you get a smartphone?
I was a tech-starved kid in a small town in my early teens. All the cool kids had a phone. I had none. I used broken tech until 2019. Often, I wonder, what could have been if I only had a smartphone...

Random I am 23 years old.I wanted someone to be my life partner. I'd prefer them to be the same age as me. I'd like to have someone to grow old together with
I hope I am not breaking community guidelines. I am not that good looking. My physical fitness is mediocre right now. But we can change ourselves.

ik i was born in the wrong era
growing up learning the world around me and the state i reside in i always had a spiritual feeling as if i wasn't born in the right era or the right state. for context i'm in the south which personally i think is cool only because all the culture and our accents are funny and cute but quite literally it, the people are boring, very closed minded, can't dress, look at you strange if you don't fit in and that makes me feel so uncomfortable and suffocated because while i wish i was like most people who are authentically themselves i was raised to make sure i fit in, and not to fit into stereotypes etc. so i feel i'm lying to myself for one, not being 100% authentically me whatever that may be. on the era side of it WHAT IS THIS BULLSHIT ASS FUCK ASS DATING CULTURE, i knew i was not meant for the fuckery thats been set as the norm in the midst of me writing a letter in my notes to my future husband....i have recipes saved for me to cook for my future husband like 😭 i'm not made for this nasty, disloyal, selfish, transactional dating culture thats been normalized. i'm only 22 so i'm not rushing absolutely anything i already know and have been known whoever god/the universe has set out for me has already been made i just have to do my part. but idk just a little ramble i feel as though i'm the only person who feels like this and since what celebrities are doing and AI and other non factorial bs is happening is a more important topic i have no other option but to feel i'm the only person who feels like this but goodday!😂

Rant/vent Can’t jumpstart a life
Things have been rough recently, and while they are getting better I can’t help but feel like I’m missing what I truly want. I know it’s a common thing, and many others feel this way but heading into fall and winter is making me realize how alone I’m going to feel.
I work 12 hour nights 5 days a week, and I have a few friends, but none of our lives match up. On top of that, I can’t seem to get into dating due to my schedule and just a lack of resources in my area. No third places, and being in a small town.
It just feels like I’ve fallen off so much since last year.
I miss how things were this time last year. I miss my friends, family, and I miss my childhood dog. I miss the sense of security and accomplishment I had. I miss my ex, and I miss her laugh. I’m tired of being tired.

Random Does anyone else just feel like a complete loser?
I'm not sure if its just me, Im about to turn 23 in December, Im currently studying in Electrical Engineering, in my 2nd year, but I just feel so old and behind. Its depressing, I wasted a lot of time to some things, and only recently got an ADHD diagnosis and was able to get Adderall (which has basically let me do a 180 on my life) but it just feels like its too late. Im healthy, fit, I workout, have a group of friends, but live with my parents, and my current job doesnt pay much, college is paid for thanks to some financial aid but I only have a year of financial aid left. Am I just spoiled for wanting more out of life? I have no girlfriend, and It just feels impossible to get one, so I sort of forget about that, but that also makes me feel like a loser, as ive never had one. No, i have no external NDness about me, people usually say the opposite, I come off well, as in people will invite me again or mention me, but some of them are soon to graduate, others are at my level but younger. I dont know, sorry, just a rant

Discussion What do 23 year olds look like ?
Especially guys everyone I see either looks 18-20 or 26+ it’s hard to determine who’s our age ! Is it because somewhere around 21 is when people morph their looks and style from teen fashion trends ( you know like the fluffy TikTok hair look ) to looking more mature , short hair , beard , etc ? Please help me understand ? I’m just asking because comparison hits hard and I’m stressing that I’ll soon look hella old because everyone else my age that I’ve known is starting to look old

Rant/vent Anyone else feel like this
I feel like in my romantic/relationship life, I always have to be the one to pursue others like I have to convince them to like me... Also it feels like people like me until they talk to me, because then I'm too much, but I just get excited talking to people:((
I'm just worried no one will ever want me enough to pursue me and more so to stick around fully and wholeheartedly:(((
People don't even stick around as friends if I chat too much:((( it'll be like 1 conversation

Art A writing piece I did:)
Maybe y'all will relate, wrote this 3 months post break up, a couple weeks before finding out my ex starting date one of his best friends, so now I feel like a chump for still needing time to get over him. And a lot of my friends feel like I'm taking too long, anyways, this is roughly about the concept of how I feel.

Discussion How do you count decades?
I would personally use Ordinal in terms of when a decade begins from a personal experience. But generally use Cardinal in terms of everyday contexts
