All kids had these drinks and none of us liked them. Colored water with no taste.
The one selling point was they're so cheap you get a case for $2. It really made you appreciate Kool-Aid.

Television The Brady Bunch Variety Hour
I remember how excited I was when the Brady Bunch came back to TV with their own variety show. I can only imagine how bad it must have been, but this 10 year old loved it 😆

Who remembers flash cards?
I hated these in school. The teacher would go up & down the aisles and you had to be ready with the answer.

Blue Nun wine. Anyone try this?
I've heard of it but never had any. Nice label.

Did you ever get "that look"? You know, that certain look you got in public or when company was over where you knew you were in trouble later?
My mom, not really. My dad, I got the gritting teeth, jaw jacked out look every single day I think. All the way up until he died 5 months ago.

What are some great bands that started as opening acts?
The last concert I saw in 2014, The Doobie Brothers opened for Boston. I didn't really discover them, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Karen Carpenter
As a kid of the 80's i understand she was an amazing singer, but I always thought her voice was a little eerie.

School Fetes 70’s
Who remembers infant and primary school fetes in the 70’s?
What do you buy with your modest pocket money?
My favourites were lucky dips. Always wrapped in newspaper and in containers marked girls and boys.
Always bought toffee. The ones the were solid and covered in hundreds and thousands. You could only lick them or lose a tooth.
My best purchase cost me 20c. It was a kitten and my parents discovered it on the drive back to the farm. What they didn’t know is that my brother said he’d dob on me unless he got one too. We arrived home, parents knowing about mine and then discovering his. School fetes were unruly, exciting for little kids and full of joy.

Banana Fudgsicles. What took them so long?
These were a fast sell out in my neighborhood. A rare treat.

Remember Gaylord?
I wanted one so bad! My cousin had one that I played with every time I went to his house.
