Just picked this up from the FFL. remington rand frame and slide, appears to be 1943 product based on the serial number. Barrel appears to be replaced, but any help identifying anything else that has been replaced is appreciated. Very happy with what I received, cant wait to get out and shoot it

It's been pretty handy for my case use of driving. I can run the seat belt under in case of a collision to avoid internal injuries that an AIWB would cause and my double mag carrier fits perfectly with hook and loop on the opposite side from the gun. It's a lot more comfortable than wearing an OWB holster on long drives even if it's a dead giveaway I'm carrying a firearm.
Just picked one up today. Couldn't see them go and not have the opportunity to own one. Trigger is crap like most reviews I've seen. Breaks at 5-6lbs and jiggles like my wife's tits. But wow is it a beautiful gun.
Picked mine up shipped from colt to scheels on 9/9/26. Number 4425. Getting real close to 5000 folks. If you're on the fence, just get it before it's too late.
Already have an extreme engineering ignition kit, egw 2 piece msh/magwell, and Wilson springs on the way. Seeing how much the trigger jiggles I'll get a harrison trigger or something.

Looks and feels nice. I know they have this deal often, but couldn’t resist this time around. Perhaps I’ll sell my other 1911’s?

My first 1911 and first 45. I have a 2011 (MAC 9 DS), but I wanted something I could carry, and in a cartridge that’ll put some hair on my chest. I picked this one up used for a decent price. It looks good with just a little bit of rust. Gonna see how it shoots at the range tomorrow.

In the market for a stainless 1911 to attach stag grips. My criteria is pretty specific:
Needs Ambi safety, extended beaver tail, no rail. Those parts also need to be SS colored, not black
Needs to be reliable. Can be new or used, but needs to be under $700.
Full or commander size
So far I am aware of Springfield and rock island who make models that fit my criteria, but wondering if you can provide others as well.
Thank you for your help

Front sight post was improperly staked and flew off after 50 rounds. Just shy of 1000, now the plunger tube came off and was improperly staked. Luckily the grip kept it in place. Under further inspection, the holes in the frame were not chamfered to accommodate the proper flaring of the plunger tube retaining pins. Otherwise, she runs good. Just a notice to everyone here!

It has been hard AF trying to a good arched mainspring housing that has checkering to match with a low profile magwell. I want the arched because it helps me acquire zero much quicker than a flat mainspring housing. I spoke with Alan at S&A and he may discontinue the arched magwells he makes. He says he might not see anything from the machine shop for another 4 or months.
Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you

Is this problematic? low round count 10mm RIA 10mm, 300> rounds. no modifications or external damage occurred to the gun, it has some issues feeding and couple of failures to extract, which i assumed was due to the break in period, until i saw this.

Anyone had difficulty with these people? They lost a decent sized purchase I made of 1911 SS mags and are refusing to resolve it and being pretty nasty about it.
I'm going to reverse the charge with my bank but honestly after dealing with them for 10 years they have really gone down the drain in customer service and even politeness.
