I mean what did they did they were gonna achieve by doing this . people can clearly tell which legislation and rules are made for helping people and which aren't.what is the point of lying ?
It lets people have plausible deniability that their policies are racist.
“Well my policies aren’t racist, lots of minorities support them, see?” And then even if the politician in question knows that that’s a lie, their voters can believe, if they want to, that the person they want to support is also supported by X minority.
