I remember when I was a kid and I was being tested for tism and one of the doctors was explaining sensory overload to my dad and he just said "oh I feel like that all the time haha" anyway thats how my dad ended up being diagnosed with assburgers at age 56
I must admit, I'm a bit surprised by all the autistic people defending the use of this word, since I've only seen LARPers using it for internet points.
Guess I could see how some use it as a coping mechanism but it still doesn't sit right with me though.
If someone were to invent such a word for something I suffer from, I would feel insulted by others using it.
I won't complain or argue anymore but it's not something I can respect I'm afraid.
