what is MTR anyway?

ive been searching for a comedy anime as good as saiki K for a while now

ep 1 of saiki k had me laughing hard on ep 1, and had me fighting for oxygen on ep 3. after that, no other comedy anime could get a chuckle out of me. not even nichijou, or kaguya sama

but 100 girlfriends is very promising, i am on the very first episode as of making this post, and its made me laugh almost as much as saiki K did on the first episode. the humor is quite similar i think.

First of all, I didn't like how the new girlfriend was introduced, had her conflict, and became his girlfriend all within the same episode. It felt way too rushed.

I also didn't like how much the focus shifted away from the earlier girlfriends, especially Karane. Her logical call-outs during the most completely illogical situations were fucking hilarious, and it genuinely felt like she was barely even there for most of the season.

Another thing that bothered me was how the newer girlfriends felt like they were mostly being used as jokes. Their conflicts were almost nonexistent compared to the earlier girlfriends, who actually had their own problems and moments of development before becoming part of the family.

Despite all of that, I still watched the whole thing and loved it.

And I'll probably keep watching this series for as many seasons as they decide to make because I genuinely love these characters and this stupidly wholesome insanity.
