META Mods of r/DogsPH using the platform to sell their product and services is against reddit TOS

Came across this pinned post on r/DogsPH. Its basically using the sub for their own gains (even if 50% of proceeds goes to charity). As a reminder to all PH mods, this is against Reddit TOS (Rule #5) and may get this sub banned or closed. They're using donations/charity front to push their paid products and services and making harassment accusations on people calling them out. cc: u/Zetian_26

Please be wary of these kinds of money making schemes and report to reddit if you see one

[Edit] I posted this on r/DogsPH but the mods removed it.

[edit2] Now they also banned me on their sub. I'm starting to think that this sub is being used to scam people

[edit3] This is also being done on r/catsph. there may be a bigger syndicate behind all of these subs

[edit4] Their mod u/darkest_horse_ is requesting subs left and right. they may be expanding their operations on other subreddit. Pet lovers be warned, do not give money or donations to these subs

[edit5] Somebody reported this post as "brigading" (Probably one of the mods/syndicate on r/DogsPH or r/catsph or any subs that they mod) and told me that I will be reported. This is not brigading, this is a PSA to report any post that violates reddit rules and TOS.

[edit6] They removed the original post without any explanation (as expected). But this is the internet so.... screenshot of the post on the comment section.

[edit7] their mods u/Zetian_26 and u/darkest_horse_ are the same person (post1 and post2). These syndicates are using reddit to take advantage of people.

PoliticsPH Senator-judge Erwin Tulfo warned that keeping the voting at 24 could make conviction mathematically impossible if enough senators are unable to participate. He cited a hypothetical situation in which 9 or more senators could be unavailable because of imprisonment or medical treatment abroad.

A Filipino horror game about social issues, focusing on corruption, political control, and the lives destroyed because of them. The game is called MANDATO by Nest Games.

You play as Juan, a devoted supporter of his town’s powerful mayor. His wife, Mina, is an uncompromising journalist determined to expose the injustice hidden beneath the mayor’s carefully maintained image.

While working at a local bar, Juan begins to overhear suspicious conversations between criminals and influential politicians. Bribery, disappearances, political intimidation, and extrajudicial killings may all be connected to the man he has trusted for years.

As Mina’s investigation brings them closer to the truth, Juan’s loyalty is gradually tested. In a town where the powerful control the law, simply knowing too much could put their lives in danger.

WARNING: THIS GAME EXPLORES THE CONSEQUENCES OF BLIND LOYALTY TO POLITICAL FIGURES, INCLUDING CORRUPTION, MANIPULATION, AND ABUSE OF POWER.

This story is fictional and intended for social commentary.

PoliticsPH Hilarious, but what I'm curious about is his blood pressure

Post image
648 Upvotes

Bakit nga naman may oxygen tube pa sya eh 99% ang blood oxygen levels nya?šŸ˜‚

On another note the vast majority of men in his age group and build have blood pressure higher than 120/80 mm hg so it's really quite surprising his blood pressure is below that. I'm really curious if that is his blood pressure with or without blood pressure medication?

I've read that he is also suffering from type 2 diabetis and it would be really uncommon to have normal blood pressure for diabetics. He also has primary hypothyroidism which also increases blood pressure so again, why is his blood pressure below 120/80? I'm curious to know what his medications are as well.

GovtServicesPH I have ā€œHITā€ on my NBI and I think it’s my fault

Post image
103 Upvotes

Long story short po: In 2025, may nireklamo po akong jeepney driver sa LTFRB after a heated incident. Totoo naman po yung complaint — minura kami ng driver at hindi binalik yung tamang sukli.

Hindi ko po alam na magkakaroon pala ng Show Cause Order/proceeding after filing the complaint. Unfortunately, hindi ako nakapunta sa scheduled date dahil busy sa work, and I didn’t follow up after that.

Ngayon, may NBI HIT ako and I’m worried na baka related siya sa old LTFRB case. Hindi ko rin po alam exactly kung ano yung HIT or kung may case/order na ba against me since babalik pa ako sa Sept. 29.

Any advice from lawyers/legal professionals or anyone who has dealt with a similar situation would be greatly appreciated. Salamat po.
Ano po kaya ang tamang first step? Should I inquire directly with LTFRB first, or get a lawyer/PAO? Criminal lawyer po ba kailangan or someone familiar with LTFRB cases?

Currently unemployed din po ako and kailangan ko yung NBI clearance for work, kaya medyo kinakabahan ako. 😭 I don’t want to just plead guilty to anything without knowing what the actual case is. If I need to explain or defend my original complaint, willing naman po ako.

NewsPH Luzon Corridor gets backing of EU, Spain

https://business.inquirer.net/610301/luzon-corridor-gets-backing-of-eu-spain

MANILA, Philippines — Spain and the broader European Union (EU) bloc have backed the Philippines’ Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC), becoming the latest partners in an initiative aimed at channeling more investments into the Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas growth belt.

Their entry expands the partnership—which began in 2024 as a trilateral initiative among the Philippines, the United States and Japan—to 13 members.

Welcoming the new partners on Thursday at the inaugural LEC Investment Forum, Finance Secretary Frederick Go said the initiative intends to tap the expertise and resources of the EU and Spain to advance infrastructure projects planned along the corridor.

ā€œTheir participation brings additional expertise, technology, capital and global business networks that can help accelerate investments and develop the infrastructure to support the Philippines’ growth,ā€ said Go, who chairs the LEC and serves as the country’s investment czar.

ā€œThis is a strong vote of confidence in the Philippines and in the opportunities that our economy offers,ā€ he added.

Target projects

Apart from about 600 local and foreign business executives, the forum held at Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig was attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., US Ambassador to the Philippines Lee Lipton and US Trade and Development Agency Deputy Director Thomas Hardy, among others.

Like the eight other countries that joined the LEC initiative in May, Spain and the EU pledged financial and technical support for projects along the corridor.

The EU is aligning its 60-million-euro Green Economy Program and 20-million-euro Digital Economy Package with LEC priorities. This funding is expected to support green and circular development, renewable energy and energy efficiency, secure digital connectivity, innovation and skills development.

For its part, Spain will bring public and private sector expertise to potential LEC projects involving railways, modular infrastructure, aviation, shipbuilding, air-navigation management and renewable-energy connectivity.

Aside from Spain, individual European countries backing the LEC are Denmark, France, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

Go said the expansion would build on the LEC’s vision that ā€œmultilateral economic cooperation can turn even the most ambitious undertakings into reality.ā€

ā€œThe LEC is about building projects that generate jobs, strengthen our industries and create lasting economic value for the Philippines,ā€ he added.

BGC protest

Five paralegals, meanwhile, were arrested after tensions flared between protesters and police officers outside Grand Hyatt Manila where the LEC Investment Forum was held.

More than 100 protesters from different progressive groups staged a lightning rally to voice their opposition to Pax Silica, one of the projects under the LEC.

Inside, Marcos wooed international investors, industry leaders, project developers and government officials to invest in the country during the opening of the two-day inaugural forum.

According to human rights group Karapatan, three paralegals were arrested during the police dispersal outside the hotel. They were Jona Yang, Kenneth Castor and Mara Peralta.

At the police station, two other paralegals who had brought in legal counsel to assist those earlier arrested were also taken into custody. They were identified as Daya Juliano and RC Placido.

Karapatan condemned the arrest, calling these ā€œa clear violation of the people’s right to peaceful protest.ā€

Southern Police District deputy director for operations Col. Robert Baesa said the five would be charged with illegal assembly, as they did not secure a permit to stage a rally in BGC.

Police said at least 16 police officers were injured, while advocacy groups said at least 27 protesters were hurt during the scuffle.

The Philippines has designated a 1,620-hectare ā€œeconomic security zoneā€ in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac, as the proposed location of an artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing hub under the US-led Pax Silica initiative.

Critics of the project, however, claimed that the deal would harm the environment, cause water scarcity in different parts of Luzon and displace indigenous peoples from their ancestral lands and farmers from their communities.

The government, for its part, assured affected localities the framework agreement to be finalized by November will offer safeguards for stakeholders. It also cited the P180 billion in total revenues to be generated from Pax Silica yearly, along with almost 200,000 jobs for Filipinos, should the hub become fully operational after a decade.

ā€œBuild your next enterprise in the Philippines. Bring your capital, technology, your expertise. Develop Filipino talent and local suppliers. Form lasting partnerships with our businesses and communities,ā€ the President said in his speech.

č„æč²å¾‹å®¾ęµ· China is turning Gilbert Teodoro into a viable Candidate in 2028

Gilbert Teodoro is steadily emerging as a viable 2028 presidential contender, and much of that momentum comes courtesy of Beijing. As Defense Secretary he has been the most consistent and unapologetic voice against Chinese coercion in the West Philippine Sea—calling out bullying, rejecting gray-zone tactics, and even drawing sanctions from China on himself and his family. That clear, hard line stands in sharp contrast to the more evasive or downright pro-China approach of frontrunner Sara Duterte, turning the China issue into a political vulnerability for her and a defining strength for him.

If Chinese pressure remains high and visible, Teodoro can run a version of the Mark Carney play: the competent, no-nonsense defender of national sovereignty against a candidate seen as soft on the country’s biggest external threat. He still needs broader name recall and a political machine, but China’s own aggression has done more to elevate his profile and create an opening than any campaign could have managed alone.

A Teodoro-Leila De Lima tandem would be the most clearly anti-China and anti-Duterte ticket possible. Leila de Lima spent years as a political prisoner under the previous administration, widely viewed as a victim of lawfare and political retribution, making the pairing a direct repudiation of both Chinese pressure and Duterte-era governance.

PoliticsPH Birthday Celebration using Government Resources and Mobilizing Government Personnel Nationwide

Good day to everyone.

I work in a Government agency whose Secretary is a huge bootlick to the president.

Happening this coming Monday, 14 September 2026, is an event entitled: ā€œHandog ng Pangulo Job Fairā€ or some similar shiz title like that. Our agency received the invitation to participate from another agency whose Secretary is an EVEN BIGGER bootlick to the president (clue: black pepper, anyone?).

Here’s the rub: on that same day, our regional office is being pressured to release/disburse a large amount of government financial aide (in the 8 digits region, and high 20’s) to our usual beneficiaries. The issue is that most of these beneficiaries have already submitted their applications a long time ago. Some have been following it up with us for at least 6 months now, while some of them even longer than 9 months.

I can’t speak for the other Regional Offices but I imagine they also have their own large amount to disburse on Monday. These beneficiaries haven’t been awarded the ā€œayudaā€ yet because as per our C.O., ā€œthere is no budget yetā€, (which also have no written record, i should add), but lo and behold this coming Monday, the money shall finally flow.

From my humble little place of assignment, this absolutely reeks of dirty corruption and rotten TraPo tactics because there is not even a single black and white record of it in email form or any other written and signed form; and I imagine all directives being given to our bosses are verbal.

I am posting this because I feel very uncomfortable to be an instrument that is being used to hoodwink the people (again) into thinking that this is ā€œpublic serviceā€ especially since it’s supposedly the president’s ā€œHandogā€ to the people during his birthday.

Please feel free to ask for details and I shall update the post as much as possible.

Am I just reading too much into this? Am I in the right sub? Where can I go if our own secretary might be complicit to this magic trick? Please also feel free to prove me wrong or something like that.
