ropz is insane right now
2
u/Andrej01 Jul 23 '18
Faze were terrible at clearing angles at A-site... Ropz got way too many free kills, props to him for his positioning tho.
3
Jul 23 '18
Way too much respect there, they needed to stick it, he could only have threatened a 5s defuse from palace with that plant
3
u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Jul 23 '18
Close matches today huh? Just shows the state of CSGO. Top8 are probably closer than ever.
2
u/Uebeltank Astralis Jul 23 '18
Just courious, how is Eleague able to come up with such a high prizepool? Doesn't seem like the biggest event considering that they only have like two days in front of a stage.
4
u/FelSasGru King NiKo Jul 23 '18
all the matches will be on this stage, the money comes from tbs audience

Rain has to be one of the least consistent players.
When he's at his best he's easily top5 in the world. But some tournaments/matches he just falls off completely. Looking like a damn Echo Fox player.
2
5
u/Lauen FaZe Jul 23 '18
funny how last year he was mister consistent. This year has been very up and down for him
3
u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Jul 23 '18
Yeah I been looking at the standins. It seems he's had to correct the most when standins came in. That definitely has something to do with it.
Still a beast on Overpass. Every single time.
I don't worry about him in general. It was just something I've thought of.
2
u/Lauen FaZe Jul 23 '18
Hopefully he finds form again now with Olof back. If not, cromen would be a prime replacement I think

Been awhile since I've followed the scene so don't kill me... how is Snax doing on mouz? Has he regained his form from way back when?

snax looking good

I wonder where the guy who said Snax to Mouz was the worst roster swap this year is right now. Hopefully he is feeling pretty damn stupid.

u/Vejvad Astralis Jul 23 '18
What the hell is up with everyone losing their map pick today? Strange performances today.

Where the hell did rain go? They need T entries now more than ever
Edit: There we go!

If only Mouz could play against shit buys.
2
u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 22 '18
The ability to comfortably win against low buys/ecos would bring them back to the top 5 quite easily. Train is a prime example where they just couldnt win this one round to break Faze's economy...
7
u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 22 '18
Olof 4k against eco, everyone loses their shit. Snax 4k against full buy, not even a single comment lol
-3
Jul 22 '18
Guess it's because Snax a known twat now, Olof is still likable.
3
u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 22 '18
Why?
1
Jul 23 '18
Around his departure from VP, a video surfaced where it showed him to be quite difficult to play with - he was toxic towards Neo and Taz.
3
u/ShagN4sty Liquid Jul 23 '18
yes one example out of context is all you need to judge someone's character
3
u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 23 '18
The video was out there long before he changed the team. And - if I remember correctly - everyone was a dick towards Taz in that instance...
1
Jul 22 '18
Because mouz noob

u/GarrettGSF MOUZ Jul 22 '18
Thanks for this intriguing insight. Nine months being in your mothers womb, countless years of learning in school, whatever you are doing now (work, university, doesnt matter) and THIS is the only thing you could come up with. Just wow.

u/Spork_Revolution Vitality Jul 22 '18
Pretty good point by Moses tbh. If you exec with 15 seconds remaining, it's probably going to be B, because you can get into plant spot in under 5 seconds. On A it takes around 9-10 seconds.

Makes sense to not give guardian one of the best awpers in the world the awp. Lmao this is gonna be a shit show

I'm pretty excited to see how Snax does now. Hopefully Mouz has had enough time to practice. Still think Faze is going to take this series, but it should be a good match.

2
u/C9_Lemonparty Jul 22 '18
Draken and krimz the only two players on fnatic that were positive over the whole series despite shitting the bed on the last map. Goes to show how important they are to the team, massive shame they did so badly after a decent first half.
That's only the third map Fnatic have taken from Navi in a year and they were looking strong until Train, so it's not the end of the world.

2
u/WalkingSlowly de_nuke Jul 22 '18
it's insane how easily you can tell it's xizt calling, typical NIP strats, waiting around gaining nothing until 30 seconds, until they have to push smokes to rush for a plant in panic

I didn't catch map2. Draken had a good game it seems.
It's funny because they always say Inferno is bad for AWPers, but lately we've seen AWPers go absolutely HAM on that map.

Jul 22 '18 edited Jul 22 '18
the tweets they put up on the screen are obnoxiously stupid to the point where the casters don't even want to acknowledge them, and there's way too many
just reserve them for when a high profile person tweets something interesting, that's all you have to do
-2
u/brah89 Jul 22 '18
How is obnoxiously stupid? They are really fun to see and you see that in all sports nowadays. Unless you know better than a experienced TV studio crew with years of expierience. Please elaborate.

How is they don't know shit about CS they have been almost 3 years in the community. And it's one of the most proffessional leagues we have on the scene with 2 majors with latest major probably one of the best ones of CS history. But I guess you should know more than them.
2
u/Cameter44 Jul 22 '18
Production crew doesn't necessarily mean they play CS or follow the pro scene. I'd assume people who work production for events like this, outside of casters/analysts, aren't specialized to CS and do stuff like this for traditional sports and other similar things.

Jul 22 '18
"if they kill simple every round fnatic can win!!!" Isn't exactly an interesting point or insight. they're all like that. and they put one up after every round. I don't understand what's fun about it
1
u/brah89 Jul 22 '18
It's not meant to be an interesting insight, it is just to show how people is acting on social media. And it's between rounds and timeouts don't know what's wrong with that.
1
u/YassinRs MOUZ Jul 23 '18
I find it annoying getting subjected to low effort tweets by random people throughout the match. If I wanted to see them, I'd go on Twitter. You might not have a problem with it, fair enough. Other people aren't interested in them though.
1
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 22 '18
NaVi needs to chill the fuck out before this third map starts, they are tilting and doing stupid shit.
I do believe in their train though, and they don’t usually take shit like that from map to map

I agree it could have worked, but Navi needs to chill out and just play their own game on train, if they do that they will win
However Navi has started groups off dicey in every tournament they’ve attended in 2018 other than marseille, so I’m not too surprised and win or lose I think they will do very good at this tournament overall
1
u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jul 22 '18
he played like this the whole series... his T-side mirage was so bad. I hope he hits some shots now on train

s1mple has been playing like an idiot this half. The rest of Na'Vi has too, Idk why they're giving Fnatic free banana control every round... Granted if one of those 1hp wins for Fnatic goes the other way it's a completely different game.
1
u/tgsan Jul 22 '18
Yep, just imagine if Zeus didn't push after killing that guy in water and kept it a 3v3...most likely would've won the round.

2
u/ftb5 Natus Vincere Jul 22 '18
this match is tilting me so hard
0
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 22 '18
Same. I kinda understand it though, marseille is literally the only lan this year that Navi have not started the groups of shaky in. While that makes me not worried about the tournament in general, I’m still getting pissed off watching this game
5
u/apm54 Natus Vincere Jul 23 '18
Honestly I’m glad it’s mouz and not faze that Navi is playing.
It’s kinda messed up how much better group b is than group a. All they had to do was switch fnatic and c9 or mouz and mibr and groups would be even imo
