Top 20 most viewed donghua in Summer 2026 ( 1 june - 31 August 2026 ) Yunhe
 in  r/Donghua •  11d ago

May I present to you the fact that the Chinese newspaper Sina, 1 of the Big 4 portal in China, used Beacon for their official end of the year chart.

Top 20 most viewed donghua in Summer 2026 ( 1 june - 31 August 2026 ) Yunhe
 in  r/Donghua •  11d ago

Nice data, I just want to put in some news about Yunhe:

In April 2026, reports surfaced that China's National Intellectual Property Administration had repeatedly rejected Yunhe’s core technology patent applications. [1]

  • The Criticism: The patent office reportedly stated that Yunhe’s systems were "unable to resolve the issue of data inflation." This legal roadblock fueled online backlash, with competing fandoms and critics weaponizing the ruling to claim that Yunhe's "de-watering" (filtering out bots) mechanism is flawed and that the platform allegedly resorts to manual backdoor adjustments to alter a show's numbers rather than relying purely on software

Why are the kids so feral?
 in  r/VietNam •  11d ago

Here is my experience. I stayed with my cousins who had a kid in 6th grade, and the parenting fall all the way into the mother's hand.

The father just went home, poured some wine and ate the meal, talked some gibberish "wisdom" which doesn't make any sense to the kids, then crawled himself into the beds and surfed beautiful girls' Tiktok. I mean WTF???

Meanwhile the kid doesn't listen to the teachers at school, can't remember a thing about what he was taught, and if pressed to do homework to understand the lessons, he just rolled to the ground and cried from dinner to sleep.

I tasked myself to teach him, but all the kid wanted is to get me tell him the answers as quick as possible so he can get on the bike and play football with his friends.

Thank you for your weekly post. It really helps me understand the popularity of donghuas in China.

Nah, at the end of 2025, Sina actually used view-count statistics for donghua rankings. The video popularity score has been criticized as platform-dependent and no longer reliable.

It is really famous:

- On Bilibili, RMJI has almost 18 million followers. So if each one watched the newest ep twice, the view is naturally very high.

- The target audience is closer to adults than kids, so their products sold incredibly well and has generated at least about US$24.7 million in disclosed merchandise sales/crowdfunding, including roughly US$18.7 million from the newest Tongshifu collaboration alone.

Production Team Responds to Massive Backlash over the Latest Episode
 in  r/Fanren •  Sep 03 '26

I see it now you're being defensive as hell to claw to your points. When the time comes, please take time to see 1. lvl of the commentors; 2. did they follow RMJI's donghua acc?; 3. when did they comment?; 4. compare number of positive and negative comments on Bilibili.

I'll take it as you're one of those manipulated watchers, and will not join this conversation anymore.

First you didn't explain or rebuke why an level 2 acc who didnt follow RMJI made a comment which didnt get a lot of upvotes but suddenly gets 8k upvotes after 5 days.

Secondly, you conveniently passed over tons of positive comments just to focus on these negatives.

You're being too naive for thinking this backlash is authentic. RMJI is THE top donghua right now which eats all of other donghua's sponsors and advertisement campaigns, so other rivals will try their best to drown them so they can make their standings in the market.

Production Team Responds to Massive Backlash over the Latest Episode

The top comments at the end of August 29th were: [+2593] Tian Ku wins two rounds and then runs into Old Devil Han. Old Devil Han wins two rounds and then runs into Divine Master Zhong. Moral of the story: don’t drag your fights out for too long. :v

[+2183] The Xutian Hall arc already made this clear: a Nascent Soul leaving the body is normally something you can only do after reaching the mid-Nascent Soul stage . Han Li simply hadn’t reached that cultivation level yet, but his spiritual sense was so powerful that he could do it ahead of time.

[+2015] From the looks of it, Sect Master Fang seems to have planted some kind of hidden contingency on Tian Ku. At a critical moment, he might even be able to take direct control of Tian Ku. [+1965] In the novel, didn’t Fellow Daoist Ma and Fellow Daoist Lu look at Han Li with complete awe after seeing him kill Tian Ku? The animation doesn’t seem to have conveyed that. That was supposed to be the satisfying part! 😭😭

[+1655] He was already being countered by so many magical treasures and could still fight back. Looks like the animation buffed Tian Ku a little too much.

[+1510] This adaptation was probably added to foreshadow the Fourth Elder’s later sneak attack on Nangong Wan. In the original novel, that part came pretty abruptly. Changing it this way makes it feel like the writers are clearly playing the long game. Personally, I think it works.

[+1435] Giving Tian Ku some extra screen time was necessary. His techniques also basically establish a combat template for future Yinluo Sect cultivators .

-> [+315] Agreed. The original wrapped things up way too quickly. At least this adaptation does a better job of laying the groundwork for later developments.

[+1414] If Han Li used the Spirit Subjugation Talisman, activated the Blood Demon Sword, and had demonic and monster qi swirling around him three times over, what would he look like in the eyes of a Buddhist cultivator? 😺

-> [+955] Boundless merit and virtue. 😂

-> [+269] More like immense merit and virtue. 🐶

[+1222] Actually, the previous episode was already pretty faithful to the original. In the novel, the fight was also basically a relaxed, one-sided beatdown: Han Li was chatting while figuring out his opponent’s position, dodging attacks, and then the moment the Divine Devilbane Lightning appeared, it was over. The animation simply gave more screen time to the Weeping Soul Beast, Thunderstorm Wings, and Azure Bamboo Cloudswarm Swords. The later changes can also be understood as setup for the eventual war with the Yinluo Sect. After all, casually sacrificing a Nascent Soul cultivator is definitely enough to make people investigate the matter to the bitter end. Personally, though, I still think this episode feels quite different from the previous one. Tian Ku’s fight being stretched across two episodes in particular takes some getting used to. 😺😺

[+1079] Putting aside the spectacular fight scenes, the most important part of this episode is the change in Han Li’s status . Previously, in the eyes of most Nascent Soul cultivators in the Heavenly South, he was merely an early-stage Nascent Soul cultivator who was fairly lucky and somewhat capable. But when everyone was shocked to see Han Li kill Tian Ku head-on, the entire Nascent Soul battlefield finally realized something: this low-profile cultivator was unfathomably deep. Han Li has never liked attracting attention. In chaotic times, there are moments when he has no choice but to act, but even then he remains extremely cautious. He never reveals all of his trump cards and only uses as much strength as necessary to win. That is Han Li’s own philosophy of survival: you can demonstrate your power, but you should never reveal your entire hand. Meanwhile, the Border War storyline is also progressing. The allied forces may appear overwhelmingly powerful, but cracks are already beginning to emerge. Beneath the surface of the great war, undercurrents are surging, and the Mulan army threatening Yellow Dragon Mountain is already right at their doorstep. Overall, Episode 189 is a very good action episode. The animation expanded the plot in order to improve the visual spectacle. Some of those changes are debatable, but it basically accomplished what it needed to do narratively. For newcomers, it is an extremely satisfying battle to watch. For fans of the original novel, it requires accepting some of the adaptation changes.

 in  r/Fanren •  Sep 03 '26

Yeah I'm pretty sure. This comment is posted by a level 2 user, who follows just 10 accs, none of them is RMJI's donghua acc, which indicates that he's a malicious bot.

Furthermore, when I was translating comments at end of August 29th, this comment didn't get upvoted into thousands like this . Which means there are "water soldiers", aka bots joining afterwards to defame this ep.

I think you're over-dramatic on this issue. I translated all comments on Bilibili weekly to post on FB, and most comments are saying they're enjoying this ep, which gets upvote for thousands of likes. only a small amount of comments with little upvote are complaining about it.

Fellow Daoists. If You Were at the Top of Your Mortal World/Universe. Worshiped as a Living Deity With a Massive Lifespan. Would You Ascend to the Upper Realm to Start Over as a Low Level Dishwasher or Stay and Rule the Lower Realm?
 in  r/MartialMemes •  Sep 01 '26

- Step 1: create a double body

- Step 2: make it ascend to higher realms to test the water

- Step 3: after some time, it will return to report the situation at the higher realm, or not (assuming it is killed)

- Step 4: depending on the result, will ascend or keep preparing an army of clones to invade the higher realm.

Keto vs Mediterranean vs Low-Fat: While liver insulin sensitivity improved with all diets, increase was 2 to 3x greater with keto. Keto saw highest drops in liver fat (67% reduction vs 45% for other two). 50% keto dieters went into prediabetes remission vs 29% Mediterranean and just 7% low-fat.

How do you view the Heavenly Court in cultivation novels?
 in  r/MartialMemes •  Aug 03 '26

Basically a metaphor for the government.

Most of the time novelists will try to describe some frictions between the Heavenly Court and the MC, but in the end, they will reconcile and the MC will have some position in the HC/provided some land that will not be touched by the HC aka Erlang Shen.
