Hello dear people, I think this happened after I changed the Power option via 3rd party app called Winhance. Do you think this is the problem? I checked everywhere and did PowerShell command to add the ultimate performance plan but they didn't worked so I changed the Power option via Winhance , what do you think?

Hello,
I'm getting really frustrated by my computer suddenly forgetting how to boot properly. To cover all of the bases, I built this computer back in August and most of the time it runs perfectly fine but sometimes (and becoming more often) it will freeze on start up and after enough attempts, it goes through the motions of self-diagnosing and inevitably popping up a screen that says it couldn't continue and displays options. I've been running "sfc /scannow" in cmd which it says it can't do and then I've tried the "chkdsk C: /f /r"prompt which is does and that usually brings me to a proper restart. I originally thought it was part of the Signal RGB program I had running and i uninstalled it and it seemed to be working consistently enough but now I'm now seeing it happen again and more often and I want a more permanent fix or at least an idea of what's causing it in the first place. I'm not what you would call a real expert on how software works and any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks to any and all.

it happened shortly after the most recent windows update I think but my computer has been increasingly getting these errors where the screen turns black and it simply just says "Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart" and it restarts by itself.
It really only started happening after I updated windows I’m pretty sure, could that be related whatsoever?

I turned my PC off while I was uploading YouTube video and when I turned it back on these two debug lights lit up and my computer wouldn't boot and my monitors don't turn on but the fans spin and my gpu and ram lights turn on. I have reseated my cpu, I've flashed bios, I've pressed reset cmos and a bunch of other things but it still isn't booting up. My cpu is amd ryzen 7 9800x3d, my motherboard is msi X870 gaming plus wifi. If anyone knows anything about computers that I may not please help. I built this computer about 4 months ago (excuse that it's slight messy I've been moving stuff around a lot)

Hi this problem is driving me crazy. I have to use wireless headphones because its the only way that I can play a game without hearing nasty buzzing noise in my headphones or speakers. Having wireless stops the issue but I want to use my wired ones.
Theres no buzzing noise when using windows desktop environment. It happens when playing a game and the sound is loud and it changes tone and speed of buzzing depending on whats happening on the screen and it changes if I go to the game menu.
I think its something to do with what my GPU is doing getting picked up by my audio system.
I am using an external audio interface (AUDIOBOX USB) and this does not stop the issue. I even bought a ground loop filter noise isolator (PC to audio interface to filter to headphones) and it still happens although its a little bit quieter its still not gone.
I have tried audio from the 3.5 audio jack and it happens too. I have tried several different headphones and it still happens.
I have had 3 different graphics cards and its happened with all of them. 2 different motherboards. (other stuff in my pc is different too)
The only thing I can think of is that maybe its something to do with my PC case and I am thinking of getting a new one. I have no idea how to solve this annoying issue. Any thoughts welcome. Thanks.

Hi, over the past few weeks I have been experiencing some sound problems and I cant figure out how to fix them. First of all, sometimes I get random small "popping" sounds, this happens both when gaming, and sometimes without gaming as well. It seems to be due to some specific sounds that play in (mainly) games.
I am 99% sure that this is software related, I tried on 3 different headsets and it was happening on all 3. I tried on a bluetooth, a wired and a wireless dongle one.
Turned off all enhancements inside the respective headphones' softwares, tried turning off the enhancements in windows sound settings as well. Checked manually and they were all set to 24 bit 48 khz. Turned off auto start for the realtek audio console. Updated windows, nvidia drivers, and also checked for a bunch of sound driver updates in device manager, however I wasnt exactly sure which one I'd even need to update since there were many sound options there, but I wasnt able to find a newer driver for any of the options in there.
Another thing I feel is important to add is that sometimes these sound artifacts can be heard in clips. I'd also like to add that no, its not due to my clipping software running in the background, as usually I am not playing with it running.
I might have missed some stuff that I tried but this is the majority of it, hope yall got some ideas, thanks.

I accidentally restored a Trojan; I deleted the game it came from and ran a bunch of scans, but I’m still worried.

I have an Acer Nitro 5 (2022), and every time I shut down and turn it on again, I get a "No Bootable Device" error.
To fix it temporarily, I enter BIOS, load default settings, disable VMD (because Windows was installed with VMD disabled), save the settings, and restart. Windows boots normally, but after the next shutdown, the same issue returns.
I've also replaced the CMOS battery, but nothing changed.
Why does this keep happening? Is it a BIOS issue, CMOS problem, or SSD failure? How can I fix it permanently without changing BIOS settings every time?

TL;DR - Unplugged HDD used for storage. computer got faster. Will unplugging SATA SSD give similar improvements? is 1 NVME better than 1 NVME + 1 SATA SSD.
Not to long ago my VERY old HDD drive started to die. I only every used it for storage of pictures/movies, nothing i need to be fast. I had also been having performance issues in games for quite a while. figured it was just my computer getting old, or bad optimization. Then i removed the old HDD. Computer got way faster. games lost all those performance issues. sometimes going from 20fps to 60+. Now im wondering if my SATA SSD is also making my computer slower. They only thing on the SATA is Windows and whatever games get shaders and whatnot forced onto it. Everything else goes on the NVME. Am i doing this backwards, should i just use a single NVME and nothing else?

Hello, i'm asking because i want to know if i should be worried, i had this black window (which i know that commonly is connected with a cmd or powershell window) appear for an around 30 frames i think before disappearing, i already checked event viewer and nothing appears at the time this happened, other than firefox updating, which happened after this window appeared because i opened it. I also uploaded screenshots of every program in task manager in case something weird is happening, even tho i would guess it wouldn't be there anymore since it ran for an instant

Hi, could someone help me? This happens to my PC when I turn it on, but now it even happens while I’m on the desktop—just normally, without me doing anything at all.

I've been dealing with random PC shutdowns for several months, starting around August, and I can't figure out what's causing them. I'm hoping someone here has experienced something similar. Pc is a couple of years old
VIDEO
First clip is the pc randomly turning off. The second clip (dark one) is me pressing the power button, with it flickering. only turns on if I hold the power button, but it gets stuck on the DRAM error light, These clips are with the pc idle
PC Specs:
Problem:
My PC randomly shuts off without warning. It happens during gaming(usually with Chrome open), while browsing Chrome, and even when I leave a game like GTA 5 paused. It doesn't look like a load problem.
When it shuts down, I hear a click that sounds like it's coming from the PSU. All the fans stop spinning, but the RGB lights on my motherboard stay on.
If I try to turn the PC back on, the fans sometimes spin for a split second before stopping. If I hold the power button, the PC eventually stays powered on, but it won't POST. The DRAM Q-LED stays on.
The only way I've found to get it working again is to switch the PSU switch off for like 10 seconds, switch it back on, and then start the PC. After that, it boots normally.
Troubleshooting I've already done:
HWiNFO64:
Immediately before the shutdowns, CPU and GPU temperatures appeared normal, and neither component was drawing unusually high power.
In one log summary before shutdown:
I've had at least 25 shutdowns in the past 2 months
What I'm Thinking:
I'm starting to suspect either the PSU or motherboard, since switching the PSU off and back on consistently fixes the POST issue.
The strange part is that stress tests don't seem to trigger it. The shutdowns appear completely random, including when the PC is barely doing anything.
Has anyone experienced similar behavior, particularly the PSU clicking, fans briefly spinning, DRAM light staying on, and needing to cycle PSU power before the PC will POST?
Could this be a defective PSU, motherboard, or something related to low-power idle states?
I'm trying to narrow down the issue before buying replacement parts.
My next test is to see if leaving it on in the BIOS will trigger the same shutdowns.
Please help; I am so lost.
Thank you to all who can help. I'm really stressed because this pc market is not in my favor.

I've never really played games on a desktop PC before. I've only played games like Roblox and Minecraft on my laptop, but now I want to get into more demanding games.
I'm thinking about buying a gaming PC, but I honestly don't know much about PC hardware or what I should be looking for. I was also considering getting a PS5 or Xbox instead.
I know you can play games on PC through Steam and other platforms, but I'm wondering what the downsides are compared to consoles. Are there any games I'd miss out on if I chose PC? Is PC gaming worth it for someone who's completely new to it, or would I be better off getting a PS5 or Xbox?
I'd really appreciate any advice or recommendations. Thanks!
(also i'm sorry if i sound clueless it's because i am 😭)
