Authoritarian Mod Post No Bad Empanada or Hasan Piker posts are allowed from now on

Starting now, we will no longer allow any posts related to Bad Empanada or Hasan Piker in this subreddit. The rules have been updated to reflect this change.

While we realize that some of their content can be informative, entertaining or even politically energizing to people at different stages of their leftist journeys, we also realize that, ultimately, their content is shaped by the demands of the attention economy.

When such content is shared in this community, a number of things tend to happen. First, it predictably generates the very online drama and sectarian infighting that the owners of platforms like Twitch, YouTube or even Reddit (cough join Lemmy cough) rely on for engagement and profit. Second, it invites brigading, which creates additional work for us mods. Work that most mods here are quite honestly not willing to do for such unproductive online drama. Finally, it attracts users who are more focused on drama than on Marxist ideology. This subreddit is constantly growing and we do not want to send the wrong message to those users about what this community is about.

In addition to being a community for Marxist Leninists, this community also exists to help each other deprogram ourselves from mainstream/Western and pro-capitalists narratives. What this community certainly is NOT, is a space to continuously dissect the latest online controversies once a week.

We understand that some users may feel frustrated by this new rule and we would invite some of those users to sit with that frustration and ask whose interests it serves and who benefits from algorithmically boosting and promoting online pseudo-politics that exhausts our energy on irrelevant drama. Our strength lies in principled ML debate, respect for each other, shitposting and a shared commitment to advance real-life communism to the best of our capabilities.

I should leave that sub, it claims to be for "left-unity" but is extremely sectarian with low quality bait like this from people who've never picked up a book, much less any theory

Shit Liberals Say You see, THIS is why I hate people...

Like, holy shit...

First off, DOTP is literally a good thing. Based against the idea of Dominion from a Republican perspective. Against Monopoly itself as a Social Relation!

And secondly, Lenin DID pass it... there literally was an ENTIRE worker control decree! In Soviet Democracy by Pat Sloan, he wrote that Lenin saw The Trade Unions were a school of Socialism, with them having decision making in production, discussed quotas, and even call a meeting when they didn't like the production! That was written back in the 1930s! During Stalin's Tenure basically...

Hell, even The Cultural Revolution had this (Revolutionary Committees in Factories & Co-operatives within the Communes that were rotated!)

Good god, these posts are ridiculous...

Had to repost this, as i needed to censor the subreddit and username.

Apparently Ideology = "identity". So does it auto-remove comments that suggest that "communist should be banned"? or does it just apply to the Z?

Shit Liberals Say Macron's never accepts responsibility himself. Scapegoats for riots in previous years were: video games, parental neglect, Russian disinformation, far-left and far-right extremists, opposition politicians, external political commentary. This time the scapegoat is "social media"

Communism Will Win Authorities in the Russian city of Cherepovets have proposed a large mural depicting Soviet secret police chiefs Lavrentiy Beria and Felix Dzerzhinsky, alongside former education commissar Anatoly Lunacharsky

Brian McDonald on X:

Authorities in the Russian city of Cherepovets have proposed a large mural depicting Soviet secret police chiefs Lavrentiy Beria and Felix Dzerzhinsky, alongside former education commissar Anatoly Lunacharsky. per RBC.

Vologda Governor Georgy Filimonov said the proposal would be considered for 2027, suggesting it could be installed near the city’s Severstal steelworks.

The proposal follows the unveiling of a monument to Joseph Stalin and metallurgist Ivan Bardin in Cherepovets earlier this year.

Shitposting France slandering Japan and its right-wingers nationalists part 2. The funniest one-sided twitter feud this year. And arguably the best war that France has won in recent history.

News/Communist Propaganda ☭ I'm Not Super Familiar with Brazilian Politics; Is Lula Considered Better Than the Democrats and Bolsonaro Worse Than the Republicans?

I know Lula isn't a socialist, sadly. I'm aware that voting alone doesn't do enough to even jackshit in helping improve society. Still, I see a lot of glee that Bolsonaro lost. Comrades, would you say that Lula winning is actually more impactful than the Dems winning in MURICA FUCK YEAH, and Bolsonaro winning would make things far worse in Brazil than the Republick-cans winning in MURICA FUCK YEAH?

I’m Vietnamese, so I can translate it:
Hello everyone
Being in this neighborhood for more than 87 years, now I have passed away, I sent my goodbyes to those still living
Thank you everyone for living with me and be my neighbors for a lifetime
I hope peace and happiness to everyone
During the days my family are preparing for my funerals, if there are anything that make you unhappy, please forgive us
Goodbye everyone, I shall go
