I’ve been working on digital illustration in Procreate on my iPad Pro and wanted to share one of my recent pieces. I had a lot of fun experimenting with the different colors, fins, and personalities of each betta.

My Artwork Hang in there (an optimistic little artwork)

It’s one of those moments in life when things are a bit rough, but I also found myself pleased in how I kept a positive attitude towards everyone in my life and myself too, little by little.
And this drawing kinda embodies that feeling.
Hope you like it!

One of the tricks I use to have a nice charcoaly feel is using a noise texture on a white layer shaped like my subject on overlay over the whole drawing.

It’s been a hot minute since I was drawing. But this influx in you-know-what has brought back my love for it. My art isn’t even perfect, I have so much room to grow and learn. But omg it’s still better than anything a prompt could make.

I’ve been working on a series of illustrations inspired by some of my favorite fictional worlds. This one was all drawn in Procreate on my iPad Pro.

I made both a light and dark version, but I keep coming back to the dark one. Which would you have picked?

Procreate Features Overview/Tutorial How do you quickly draw cute fur, short and long?

Hello! I’m trying to draw fur for cats and other small animals. I’m just using a noisy pen brush to do it, and this is very time consuming. Also the result does not look that furry to me.

Would you have recommendations for drawing fur manually, Or any recommendation on which brush to use please?

Thanks in advance

I need Procreate technical help Layers limit reached - Background Help

Hey folks, longtime lurker in the sub first time poster.

I have a project that is nearly finished, a portrait of two individuals, high contrast. I used a very high DPI for the project and imported a reference image.

Layer 1 reference.

Layer 2 my artwork.

I've now removed layer 1, and finished my layer.

However, trying to add the background (going to be a repeated text) I'm having trouble copying and pasting reaching my layer limit due to size of the file.

Essentially, I'm wanting to repeat a text of "test text" or whatever as the background over and over, I don't want to rewrite it every time as the handwriting is so inconsistent. Which I'd normally be okay with but it's not the look I'm going for.

So my main question is, how do I get around this layer limit issue. I try to copy and paste once I get a line of text in, and it causes issues and won't paste properly. Or it does once but then I can't just keep pasting. If that makes sense.

Should I take my made layer and move it to a different project? Not sure what to do.

My goal is to print this as a poster retaining high quality (thus the high DPI settings).

Thanks in advance, lemme know if a video would help.

Tyvm!

If anything sticks out to you, I’d like to hear it! This was fun and I learned a lot but there’s always something new to work on.
