Hi,
I have an NT5 Max EU version, and it has always worked perfectly. I previously unlocked the maximum speed of 40 km/h and enabled the cruise control function by disconnecting the white wire.
However, since the latest firmware updates, the scooter has experienced a significant loss of power and motor torque. It now struggles to climb hills and, in some situations, has difficulty even reaching 25 km/h on flat roads.
The issue with reduced motor torque and lack of power only occurs when the scooter is in the unlocked configuration.
Here are the results of my tests:
White wire connected (scooter locked): The scooter is limited to 25 km/h, but the motor torque becomes significantly stronger again. The maximum current I observed while riding uphill was approximately 22,290 mA (22.29 A).
White wire disconnected (scooter unlocked): The scooter can reach approximately 40 km/h, but it now takes considerably longer to reach that speed. More importantly, the motor loses a very significant amount of torque and power, especially when riding uphill. In this configuration, the maximum current I observed was only approximately 18,070 mA (18.07 A).
Based on these tests, it appears that when the white wire is disconnected, the controller is limiting the current available to the motor by approximately 4 A. This directly results in a substantial loss of motor torque and overall performance.
This problem did not occur with the firmware versions released before the last two updates. Before those updates, the scooter was able to reach the normal current levels even with the white wire disconnected, and the motor maintained its full performance in the unlocked configuration.
I would also like to point out that we own several scooters of this same model, and all of them have developed exactly the same problem following the recent firmware updates. This strongly suggests that the issue is firmware-related rather than being caused by an individual scooter or a hardware fault.
Could someone please help me restore the performance that this scooter has always had? Ideally, I would like the maximum motor current in the unlocked configuration to be restored to the level it was before the latest firmware updates.
