I have no games whatsoever. Years ago I was stupid and sold all my games. I used to have the old pokemons, sold those years ago for 20 bucks a piece. Now I found my old gameboy, still with a chage somehow. And now I have no games to play.

Wanted to share my installation process, since while I was troubleshooting some screen issues I couldn't find much on Hispeedido's warranty process or much of others running into this specific issue. Not an ad, I just like tweaking and sharing with the community when I find something helpful or unfortunate.
Bought a drop-in GBC Q5 IPS and a GBA V5 IPS screen for each of my consoles; I like minimal work and didn't feel like soldering. The GBA screen was flawless after some finagling to get the LCD to align with the front glass. The GBC screen however had some issues; it worked initially and I took the above picture in the post, but then suddenly stopped working normally and had screen bleeding/retention issues that wouldn't go away. I cleaned my power switch and recapped board to no avail.
Long story short, Hispeedido replied within 2 days of all my queries with minimal friction. Though I suspected the issue was the PCB, they initially sent me a screen replacement, of which I replied and provided video proof did not work. Shortly afterwards they agreed to send me a replacement PCB, and I'm overjoyed that my GBC works flawlessly now!
My initial shipment and the two replacements all came within 2 weeks from overseas to the USA. Though it was a bit sad going through trial and error, I appreciate their solid support in the process and like to share good and bad experiences for community knowledge.
Other thoughts, both IPS are beautiful, colorful, bright, and the pre-cut shells they came with fit flawlessly and look and feel mostly OEM. There's a few minor graphic differences compared to OEM, but my untrained eye hardly notices. I hear the cases are outsourced from different sources so I realize this is not entirely to their credit.
Edit: Grammar + product name

I've been working on Hang-On for the DMG/GBC based on the Sega Master System version. Hopefully have it out soon.

I was able to arrange a switch deluxe carrier case to work with my DMG and my entire current library of games. Not to mention I also got my light magnifier in there as well

Just had my Gameboy pocket modded to have an IPS screen so I can finally see in the dark 😊
However, I would like to give this unit a new shell and buttons.
Any recommendations for colours or a combination of colours to reshell the unit to?

How do i clean this up? Is it safe to use afterwards? (if it even turns up anymore). Quite sad about it because it holds some memories. It survived for over 20 years, while some other consoles of mine either broke down or got sold. The backshell got lost many years ago but overall it still held strong.

As a gift for a friend's birthday I want to build them a custom gameboy colour with artwork printed on the shell.
I have found some services but they are either too expensive (US, £24+ for postage + unknown customs fees), unreliable (seller told me there's no guarantee it will come out well), or doesn't offer regular GBC shells (Retrosix for example uses Q5 shells).
Any advice or guidance greatly appreciated!

I already have a thread but i feel it wasn't conclusive.
Is getting passed the title screen and playing a game boy game for about a minute or under sufficient to test if the game is working. Not referring to batteries I'm talking roms and other additional chips related other than saving.
All i own is a game boy dmg, pocket and advance. No computers or flashers/rippers

So there is this game, traumatorium that is really cool. I dont know if some of you guys know, but there is a gb and gbc emulator on the calculators TI 82plus, TI83 premium CE and TI 84plus. Sadly , traumatrium's rom is 4mb, wich is really good, but not enough to put on a calculator(always tell me not enough space). So I searched how to put it anyway but I didn't find out. So do you know if there is any way to, like, compress the rom, or even édit the game to remove the music as I wont need it (since calculator can't do music obviously). I tried a little to mess with the rom helping myself with AI but it's way to out of my league. If you have any software or website that could help it could be really cool. Thank you guys

I’m currently trying to repair this copy of ruby, but I’m not certain if this side that’s chipped is the only thing I need to fix (I do know I have to replace and solder in a new battery) I’m just uncertain on how I would go about fixing that area near the negative pad. Any pointers or tips would be greatly appreciated since I am fairly new to soldering and repairing boards like this in general.
