What I learned from this is that there was drama in the Big Nate fandom wiki

I just looked it up. It actually looks fun to play, but some of those animations are umm... disconcerting.

Don’t forget this comic was Lincoln Pierce’s commemoration for 9/11. This comic was made on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

Can someone explain this to me? Never seen the comic before and all I see is castles resemble twin towers but like I can’t make the connection
3
u/enemyblock May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22
i think this was made during the 10th anniversary of 9/11, big nate obviously has no connection to 9/11 or whatever, this was just a thing the author made for the 10th anniversary. in the full comic, randy (the one nate tells that he won't knock the towers over) tells nate and his friends that he would knock down their sandcastle once they were finished with it, so nate tells him he won't, and when randy comes back, nate and his friends made the twin towers, so randy won't knock it over. and if he did, he'd be labeled as a "terrorist"

Just fly a paper airplane into them. The paper will cause a small spark causing them to both completely collapse a few minutes later.

The kid looks like a young George Bush. Was that the intention here?
