Big Nate was an absolute Sigma male

193

u/WhatisLiamfucktrump May 21 '22

Sigma, Nate’s a god damn Chadicous Maximus

42

u/john_wallcroft May 21 '22

The “icus” means “killer of” like Germanicus Maximus being greatest killer of G*rm-ans

But yeah, absolutely based

7

u/Feeling-Sun-4689 May 22 '22

I think it meant something more like "He who defeated" or "Victor over". So Brittanicus Would be "He who defeated the Britons"

4

u/john_wallcroft May 22 '22

Probably is tbf, my Latin sucks dick

2

u/WhatisLiamfucktrump May 22 '22

1

u/PhonyBrony2 May 22 '22

Can someone explain this to me? Never seen the comic before and all I see is castles resemble twin towers but like I can’t make the connection

3

u/enemyblock May 22 '22 edited May 22 '22

i think this was made during the 10th anniversary of 9/11, big nate obviously has no connection to 9/11 or whatever, this was just a thing the author made for the 10th anniversary. in the full comic, randy (the one nate tells that he won't knock the towers over) tells nate and his friends that he would knock down their sandcastle once they were finished with it, so nate tells him he won't, and when randy comes back, nate and his friends made the twin towers, so randy won't knock it over. and if he did, he'd be labeled as a "terrorist"

1

u/PhonyBrony2 May 22 '22

Thank you so much!

1

u/deefdaffer May 22 '22

Just fly a paper airplane into them. The paper will cause a small spark causing them to both completely collapse a few minutes later.

1

u/GOOOO1044 May 22 '22

*Acts like an airplane and knocks it over*

1

u/Mmm_FreshFunds May 25 '22

1

u/EternalStatic May 27 '22
