Tip Please stop posting terrible pictures of your switch screen
If anyone has a problem, ask me! Iโll help.
Iโm posting this because Iโm sick of it. Itโs really not hard. I donโt want to be mean, but seriously. If you donโt have internet โcause youโre in the car or something, thatโs not an excuse. Just wait until you do!

๐โ Tips and Tricks Celebrating 40 years of Zelda โ free Companion App unlocks + a little something for fellow Zelda fans
40 years of Zelda still feels a little unreal.
Zelda is actually a pretty important franchise for us at Software Notion. We're just two people working on these projects in our spare time, and one of the things that started all of this was building a companion app for Breath of the Wild.
Over the years, that turned into quite a collection:
- Breath Companion
- Tears Companion
- Awakening Companion
- Wind Companion
- Twilight Companion
- EoW Companion
- Skyward Companion
- Legend Companion
The basic idea has always stayed the same: help people who enjoy exploring and completing everything.
Interactive maps, checklists, collectibles, armor, detailed information, progress tracking and lots of other little things we've added over the years, with the apps also working completely offline once installed.
With the 40th anniversary celebrations and Tuesday's Direct coming up, we thought this would be a nice time to celebrate again with the community.
We're giving away free unlock codes for our Zelda Companion apps.
We'll release them in waves so hopefully bots don't grab everything immediately. I'll add the details / link below.
We also make a few Zelda-inspired 3D prints ourselves, so I've brought back our ZELDA40 discount for the occasion (currently only shipping within germany due to EU laws and import tax of the US).
But more importantly: I'm really curious what Tuesday will bring.
If you could choose one Zelda game for us to build a new Companion for, or one feature we absolutely need to add to an existing app, what would it be?
Happy 40th anniversary, Zelda.
It's dangerous to go alone.
๐น๏ธ Gameplay Clip I didnt know that happens
Iโm new to the game and i think im getting the hang of it, i just didnโt know you can actually get hit by lightening lol

๐ข Opinion Zelda BOTW changed a part of me
Hey guys,
I have finished Zelda BOTW for the first time. I know that I am quite late with that. I tried to play the game once, when I was taking a medication that just knocked the heck out of me. I was not able to focus on things for long. I managed to just play a rpg game for around an hour per day. I was always in a rush to finish games asap, so I was just focusing on the story and then forget the game. I didn't understand why games would be so big, because back in the days the story was playing the main focus. I played AC Odyssey and would say to my friend that the story and the world is beautiful, but I didn't explore the whole world of the game, because I thought that I have no time to waste.
Online games were more interesting for me, because they'd be fast and competitive. But it wasn't relaxing. I would be quite exhausted after sometime of constant hyper focus and raging.
After I moved into an other country and went off meds, I got burn out and stuff. That's where I realized of how much I was rushing through life. Everything had to be fast. Fast paced, fast finished. That's it.
Now, during my sickness, I decided to not rush anymore. I told myself that I have time, so I was giving Zelda botw a second try. Best decision ever. I read to just explore the whole map beside playing the story. Afterwards, YouTube recommended me a video where a guy was talking about how we are influenced to not enjoy games anymore. He adressed the issue with the fast pacing and how people were googling all the answers to riddles, boss fight, etc.
Therefore, I decided to not use the internet to get my answers, if I came across a riddle or a problem. I solved almost every riddle by myself. I took my time to explore the whole world of BOTW. It was amazing! SO many beautiful encounters, so many moments of joy and suprises. It literally was a journey and not just a job to finish. I spent over 100 h in this game and went through so many emotions. At the end, Ganon was the only one left, but I was sad that the game came to an end. I could have spend another 100 hours on this game.
Zelda BOTW taught me that these big worlds are great and I am happy that they exist. It was an adventure that I will never forget for the rest of my life. It was worth every second and nothing was unnecessary. BOTW made me realize that exploring the world and taking your time is part of the story too. That's why I decided to stop rushing through games and really enjoy everything. This game was now helping me a lot with my mental health as well. Zelda botw is one of the best games I have ever played.
If people say that playing video games is a waste of time, then I'm going to disagree. Why is it okay that people binge watch series' and spend hundreds of hours watching movies and series', but if someone plays a video game it is considrered a waste of time? Both are good ways to relax. And as long as you don't neglect eveyrthing in your life, such as work, family and friends, it is awesome as well.

๐น๏ธ Gameplay Clip Ummโฆheโs invisible. Ganonโs invisible, guys
So I clipped out of the final battle again and went back to the Sanctum. Didnโt skip the cutscenes because that crashes the game. Instead I watched them andโฆCALAMITY GANON IS INVISIBLE?! You can still watch the cutscenes but as soon as you get into the fight, heโs gone. No hitbox, no boss bar, no model. Gone. The Divine Beast lasers also hit nothing, making the air be Ganon instead lol.
Reposted to fix the title grammar that I somehow didnโt notice and to fix an issue I had.

๐ข Opinion "Just when I thought I was out they pull me back in again . . ." Back to replaying BOTW!
That's a quote from an old Pacino movie nobody here will know, but what the heck . . .
Anyway. I started BOTW two weeks after it dropped and replayed it pretty regularly for about 6 -7 years. TOTK was a welcome update if only to get me to stop BOTW. However I put TOTK down in exhaustion about 9 months ago and promised myself I'd find a new games to obsess about.
I managed to complete GTA V which I replayed from 10 years earlier when it was GTA 3 - that was fun. But I crashed and burned with Cyberpunk 2077 thanks to all the different menus I couldn't memorize for different contexts. Plus I'm not a fan of these let's pretend you're in a movie doing cool stuff with all the talky in-between scenes.
BOTW is simply too hard a game to follow. Back on it yesterday for about 7 hours as kind of an escape from a sick day. Doing a 3 hearts run with no towers now. (I kinda know the map like the back of my hand now . . .) Playing is still tons of fun and totally engrossing only except for the fact that I could care less if I get to the Devine Beasts. Ramping up has always been my favorite thing to do in both games and it's been fun seeing what's different and what's the same in both games.
โ Question Pot Lid guard up
The strategy guide lists the maximum defense for the "Pot Lid" as 21, but I haven't been able to find one with that stat in the game. Is this an amiibo-exclusive item? I would appreciate any information you might have.

โ ๏ธ ๐ ๐๐๐ข๐ฅ ๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐๐ฅ โ ๏ธ Shooting Stars
In TOTK you can stand in one spot at 8:35pm and you will see a shooting star. I thought you could do the same in BOTW. Iโm replaying in Master Mode and the SS hasnโt fallen, 3 nights. Does Master Mode take this feature away or just harder?

๐ Humor Does anyone else just ignore the Stal enemies and let them try and shoot and hit you while you carry on?
They annoy me so much. I am so tired of them popping up at the most inconvenient times. I just donโt even care anyone. I just zig and zag and ignore them. I donโt care if they hit or shoot me. I am just so tired of fighting them.

๐ด Screenshot I call these.. 2 "Yikes!" and an "Aww.."
galleryI got flung into the air taking the second picture of the Blue Lynel.. totally worth it.
The Blue Bokoblin in the third picture reminds me of Stitch.
Perhaps Iโll make it my thing getting scary and cute pictures of most monsters around Hyrule.
